Hands down one of the best vegan food experiences I've had in Phoenix. The Coronado absolutely delivers on flavor, texture, and vibe. Walking in honestly felt like stepping into Vampire Lestat's lair -- dark, moody, romantic energy... very Anne Rice novel in the best way possible. Super unique atmosphere, tarot card menus (obsessed), and there's also a really cool vibey coffee shop next door owned by the same folks. What I love most? This place is 100% plant-forward but they don't scream "vegan restaurant" anywhere -- it just shows up as a restaurant. And you can tell because plenty of non-vegans were there simply because the food is that good. Nothing was oversalted or over-seasoned, sauces tasted house-made, and everything felt intentional. The Cali burrito was fantastic, the fried guacamole was surprisingly light and delicious (not greasy at all), and the potato tacos were honestly divine. Only small gripe: I wanted to mix taco flavors and was told no -- tacos only come in pairs of the same kind. Didn't love that, especially since I was happy to pay any upcharge just to try a few varieties. That aside, service was friendly, we were seated quickly for early dinner, and overall it was a great experience. I'd absolutely come back and recommend it to vegans and non-vegans alike. Total vibe.

Southwest burger with a side of fries

I was looking for a vegetarian friendly restaurant in the Phoenix area and came across The Coronado. This restaurant is 100% plant based with a wide variety of tasty dishes for both our vegetarian and non-vegetarian friends. I got the southwest burger with a side of fries, but honestly, there were so many dishes that sounded delicious and I'm not vegetarian. Next time, I would want to try: the tacos, harvest bowl, breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, etc. It was a nice day so we sat outside, but there is also a lot of seating inside. We had a reservation just in case but it wasn't very busy for brunch on a Sunday. The Coronado is located on the corner of a neighborhood in residential area. There is a small lot next to the restaurant, but there is also a dirt lot across the street. If that is also full, there's residential parking. Just make sure to be mindful of the residential property.

I was recommended to check out The Coronado by a friend. As an avid omnivore I was curious (and maybe a touch skeptical) to see how its vegan menu compared to a more conventional restaurant. I was thoroughly impressed. The biscuit was as flaky and tender as one made with animal fats, even if it was understandably a bit less buttery. What was particularly impressive to me however was the scrambled tofu, which had a surprisingly eggy flavor. The potatoes and roasted vegetables were on point too, but that shouldn't be a surprise. Also worth noting is the nice modern interior, which struck a good balance of sophistication and character. I would definitely recommend it if you're in the area, vegan or not!

I've been here too many times to count, but it's easily one of my favorite spots for brunch in phoenix - and it's all vegan! This place is much more flavorful and satisfying than a good amount of non-vegan spots around town. The music is always great with the best atmosphere inside and outside. Everyone who works here is super nice and accommodating. I keep coming back. Their food leaves you full and doesn't make you feel bad after. So so good

Great vegan restaurant! I came for brunch with a group of friends on Sunday. It was pretty busy so it was nice to have a reservation. The interior is really cute and the flower wallpaper gives it a homey feel. I got the savory pancake and tofu scramble. It was a really unique dish and I loved it! Our waitress was very nice and the little notebooks the check come in are pretty entertaining to skim through.

Another day of gr8 food, consistent attentive and kind services, and calm ambiance. We ordered the Cauli-Bites & Mini grand slam with mini Stack pancake, plus a side of black bean, was more than enuf to share for two. Always 1st in mind when wanted a bit of sweet and savory combo craving

Black seed burger! And the fires!

Wow! We ordered to pick up so did not dine in but it was so cute inside and they had a nice little patio. I ordered the black seed burger! (Amazing!) and ordered the crunch wrap for my guy- which I ate half of! It was so good and fresh!

I mean soo soo good. We are from out of town and are repeat customers now. We will be back again. Juan is the coolest cat and will make you his new best friend. Whatta doll!!!

Potato Tacos, now called the "Nightshade Ritual" or "Painted Desert," can't recall:-)

As is the norm at The Coronado, the service, the meals, and the ambiance, were all stellar! Heck, even the water tasted great (or were we just super dehydrated from a super hot day in Phoenix)? Highly recommended!

The Coronado has to be one of the best restaurants to visit in Phoenix. This vegan restaurant serves some of the most creative sweet and savory brunch dishes ranging from pancakes, tacos, burgers, salads, and burritos. Each dish is freshly made to order and is packed with unexpected flavor that will make you keep wanting more. I recommend getting their Coronado burrito, cauliflower tacos, buffalo cauliflower burgers, and any of their desserts. The restaurant is clean and spacious with indoor and outdoor seating. The environment is pleasant and relaxed. I could definitely see myself hanging out here with family and friends while enjoying some delicious brunch! I will definitely visit again when I am back in Phoenix.

Finally found a great vegan place where I can take my wife (who is vegetarian) but I can also enjoy the food because it's all delicious. Truly a unique scratch kitchen and they use very fresh ingredients. As well as a cocktail bar! Service is quick, even when it's busy.

Amazing atmosphere, wonderful staff and incredibly beautiful + flavorful vegan food!! Plus delicious and well-balanced cocktails. The ingredients in every dish are so wholesome and nourishing. Absolutely a must try spot in PHX.

Stopping by today to grab some food to go for my road trip. I'm keeping it simple and getting a smaller version of my favorite salad, the Caesar and also a cookie. The service is always great and the space is such a vibe. I enjoy stopping here as often as I can when I'm coming through Phoenix and have the time.

Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical dive bar. Casual. Some seating at the bar and some high tops. Some pinball machines in the back. And one cool thing they do is that it's also a liquor store. So, you can make it your watering hole and also your supply for when you leave the bar. Service (4/5): I went to the bar and was greeted promptly. Received my beer, the bartender checked in on me, and I closed out pretty effortlessly. A smooth service experience. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet, and as far as I could tell, they didn't have any food anyways. Drinks (4.5/5): I didn't know this going in, but when I walked in, and I saw pink elephants, I knew I was in the right place. Pink elephants, you say?! Yes, indeed. Pink elephants represent delirium tremens, my favorite beer. You can't find it in a lot of places, but this Belgian beer is a treat. They have it on tap at Kings. That makes it a winner in my book alone. While derlirium is all you need, they have a nice selection of beers, both craft and international. Cool spot.

Not another table was occupied for our entire meal, locals please show this place some love!!! We came in for happy hour with our college son, and had a lovely time. The music was a bit loud for it being so empty, and an odd irritating beeping was audible throughout the evening. Otherwise, we sat in a comfy booth and enjoyed the air conditioning, yes its still 100 in Phoenix. From the happy hour menu, we ordered a house margarita and a red sangria to start ($6 each on HH). The margarita was standard, but solid. The sangria was fruity and boozy with a good portion of icy blackberries to keep it cold. I like that there wasn't a glass full of ice left after finishing this drink. James brought some extra ice for the margarita, saying the crushed ice melts quickly. I used it to ice down the water, much appreciated. When son arrived, he was undecided about the beers, so James brought him three tasters. After choosing the one (Dragoon Pilsner $7 HH) that made his face happy, we also ordered the polenta fries as a starter. The polenta fries ($10 HH) here are SUPERB! What a fantastic combination of flavors! I loved the hard crunch on the outside but the soft polenta inside. Topped with some spicy chipotle aoli, this dish features a little cor, cotija cheese and house pickled red onion and jalapeno slices. The brine on the pickles was perfect!! Tart, sweet, spicy all represented well. Even son who is a french fry traditionalist helped devour this dish. Even though our meal was also good, I will absolutely come back JUST FOR THE POLENTA FRIES and the drinks! On to entrees, son ordered the Mac Daddy appetizer as an additional side dish to go with his Bees Knees Chicken Sandwich with sweet potato fries. This craggy chicken breast is MASSIVE, hanging out of the bun on all sides. Very tender and juicy, he consumed the whole thing while the liberally applied honey sauce dripped down his arms. He also consumed all the Mac Daddy, pronouncing it creamy and cheesy. I think it was a little small for $13 but it was delicious. I ordered the American Burger, no bun, also with sweet potato fries. The meat was excellent, a nice sear and crunch edges with good quality beef. I asked for a side of ranch dressing to dip my fries into, and it was an excellent homemade version. Chef James told me he works to get the perfect viscosity for coating the fries, and he was successful! Husband had the Hot AF Chicken Sandwich, another huge craggy breaded fried chicken breast, with regular french fries. He got the pickles on the side, and cut the gigantic sandwich in half for leftovers. The habanero sauce on this burger is very spicy, but not deadly. It had a lot of raw onion under the bun. The buns are branded or dark toasted on top. No one complained. The size of the gigantic chicken breast in these sandwiches is truly comical. No one laughed. Too busy stuffing our faces! Although he did mix up our sides, Chef James ran a remarkable meal for us solo. We didn't have room for dessert, but they do have a couple on the menu. Check was handled efficiently, and we left James to his devices. I hope the restaurant saw other guests that night, and our dedicated host found it worthwhile to open the doors Thursday. I think he is really invested in the success of this place, and would love to send everyone I know to try it!

We could not have picked a better place than Fate Brewing - Phoenix for our wedding Welcome Party!…read moreWe reserved the first hour for our rehearsal dinner and speeches with our wedding party, and then transitioned into the Welcome Party with all of our guests. We had around 60 people total, and the space could not have worked better for a group our size. We had both the indoor and outdoor spaces reserved for the entire evening, including the full patio with misters to keep everyone cool, lawn games that were a huge hit with our very competitive group, and indoor booths and long tables. Everyone had plenty of room to sit, mingle, play games, grab a drink, and move between the indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the night. The Fate team was incredible from start to finish. They let us come in ahead of time to tour the space and plan our menu, and when our final guest count ended up being smaller than originally expected, they were extremely flexible with our budget. They gave us options for drink tickets or an open bar tab and allowed us to adjust how much we put toward food, drinks, and snacks so we could create exactly what worked for our group. The food was AMAZING! We had a full taco bar for our rehearsal dinner and a fun pretzel wall for the Welcome Party, and they even allowed us to bring in our own décor and desserts. The staff also went above and beyond with drink recommendations and made sure there were great options for everyone, whether they drank alcohol or not, while also helping accommodate allergies. We were especially impressed by how attentive the staff was throughout the entire night. Managing a group of around 60 people is no small task, but we never felt like we were waiting for anything. They were always one step ahead, checking on our guests, keeping everything flowing, and making sure we could simply enjoy the night. The flexibility, hospitality, and willingness of the entire Fate team to go above and beyond made our night so easy and memorable. It was the absolute perfect way to kick off our wedding weekend, and we cannot recommend Fate Brewing - Phoenix enough for a quick drink or lunch, rehearsal dinner, Welcome Party, or large group event!
