This might be a big proclamation, but I'm willing to put it in writing: this is the biggest hidden gem in Phoenix. I've been coming here for a while now and I'm still surprised I can always walk in and get a seat. I haven't been anywhere that has more taps, and their variety is off the chain. If you're in a mixed taste relationship like me (a strong preference for fruity sours, lactofermentation, nutty stouts, and atypical combos) and my husband (Colorado IPA drinker with a discerning palate), this is the spot. Great service (Bri, if you see this, we love you), great selection, and the best taproom in town for bringing your own food. I like the casual atmosphere and appreciate how I haven't been intimidated despite the big menu--I'm just welcome. This is a regular date night in my house, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This is a great spot to build a beer adventure calendar. They have a huge variety of canned and bottled beers, as well as over 40 selections on tap Service is friendly and the staff is knowledgeable. If you are not sure what you are looking for they are quick to identify your favorite flavors and recommend something that fits. They don't serve food, but you are welcome to have it delivered or bring it in with you. The store is a nicely presented tap bar, a few high tops and low tops, some old school pinball games, and during the season a nice Christmas tree.

Amazing hidden gem!! Came here on a Monday and the owner is very welcoming and friendly! Delicious options of beers, meads & little store to buy four packs or more!! (Growlers & Crowlers available) There's even a little area for darts and pin ball machines :)! As well as card games to play with friends while sipping your new favorite beer.

On a Friday night, Kings Beer & Wine was my last stop of the evening. And I'm glad it was. Located in Midtown in a strip center, while I walked over, if you're driving, you won't have any problems parking in the shopping center's complimentary lot. Ambiance (3.5/5): Pretty much your typical dive bar. Casual. Some seating at the bar and some high tops. Some pinball machines in the back. And one cool thing they do is that it's also a liquor store. So, you can make it your watering hole and also your supply for when you leave the bar. Service (4/5): I went to the bar and was greeted promptly. Received my beer, the bartender checked in on me, and I closed out pretty effortlessly. A smooth service experience. Food (N/A): I was on a liquid diet, and as far as I could tell, they didn't have any food anyways. Drinks (4.5/5): I didn't know this going in, but when I walked in, and I saw pink elephants, I knew I was in the right place. Pink elephants, you say?! Yes, indeed. Pink elephants represent delirium tremens, my favorite beer. You can't find it in a lot of places, but this Belgian beer is a treat. They have it on tap at Kings. That makes it a winner in my book alone. While derlirium is all you need, they have a nice selection of beers, both craft and international. Cool spot. read more

If you are a beer person would 100% recommend this joint. They have a ton of option on tap. The service is always great and it's the kind of place where you be able to get to know who works there as a regular. I meet up with some friends here on a regular basis to catch up and maybe play some games. It can be a bit loud at times but that is part of the draw. As someone who is gluten free and does not like beer, they have a few good ciders on tap. The wine selection leaves a little to be desired. The main draw for me is that this is an indoor location that is well behaved pet friendly! I'm always looking for options in the summer to get my pup a little mental stimulation and this is always a fun little outing. read more

We've been going here for a while now. Comfortable space to have a few pints with friends and a must stop for beers to go from the bottle shop! So many beers on the rotating tap! You can get a growler to go of your favorite! I love that I can get my favorite beer from Iowa here (Toppling and Goliath)! The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable of the beers! Great vibe, great beer, great people! Love this spot! The bartenders are all so kind and helpful, the menu has what seems to be endless options and even then, if you can't find something to try, the beer shop attached has EVEN MORE! The prices are great for craft beer, a decent bit more affordable than a lot of spots. Fantastic selectionIf we were locals, we'd be regulars- I discovered King's via a Reddit suggestion for best place to buy local craft beer to go- we were both very impressed discovering there was so much more to the store- Yes, they had exactly what we were looking for in the way of local craft beers to-go at reasonable prices per can, but they also offer many other state specialty craft beers, 4-6packs, regional wines/liquors, and growler fills to go- Oh & bonus, they're attached to an entire fantastic ambiance tap room where you can grab a pint! We made a DIY 6-pack to go- discovered they offer a %discount for completing a pack-woo! While making the pack, we had a fantastic helpful experience chatting with Mark learning about the perfect beers to try for our preferences not only to-go, but also which breweries to check out in many Az regions- he also made a great suggestion regarding a long drive from Phoenix to Sedona, overlaying the best route to take for drive viewpoints p.s I also loved that pre-trip we popped on messenger chat ot ask them questions about ordering online & pick-ups and they were super quick about replying & providing best advice for grab & go again, if we were locals, we'd be regulars- must stop, highly recommend. read more

Established in 2015.

Kings Beer & Wine opened it's doors in the bottle shop on September 17th, 2015. We expanded on August 20th of 2017 with the addition of a taproom. We now offer 81 rotating taps of craft beer & ciders along with 700+ can/bottle selections. We have a growing selection of hard to find, fine & natural wines along with meads, ciders and sake.

This is my go to for beer and wine. The owner is incredibly educated on his products which makes the shopping that much more enjoyable! He also treats my wife and I with total respect which is hard to come by as a queer couple and he has even gone out of his way to ensure we get to our cars safe when there are a lot of people around after dark which means so much to us.
