I've been coming here for a couple years. The staff is always friendly, the store smells clean. Amazing selection of booze, smoking, and some small house items. Oh and Nag Champa Incense. A few dollars more than you would pay at Total Wine but definitely convenient and worth the trip. read more

DONT BUY DISPOSABLE PUFF BARS FROM HERE! They sold me a fake/old Cranberry Lemon Ice here. If you see in the picture, the left is from the store, the right is from Red Star. I put in the verification code and it didn't exist on puff bars website. I tried returning it before we even left the parking lot, because the package was opened they said no returns. I showed them the comparison of the real and fake, but still refused to take ownership. DONT take your chances of the disposables here. read more

I really like this liquor store. I was going gluten free for a while so I used tapfinder to find a brand of mead I liked. I couldn't find it myself but I asked the attendant and he brought me to it. He thanked me for asking and said most people will just leave if they can't find it even though it's there. There is never too much of a good thing and this place proves it. Amazing, awesome prices on growler fills. I haven't found cheaper in Phoenix. His prices are the same or cheaper than the breweries they are made at in California and Arizona. Belching Beaver is LOWER then the Ocean Beach location in San Diego. He has a wider selection of top notch breweries than Wandering Tortoise and his growler fills are significantly less. Why fill your growlers anywhere else...we won't. If you want the bar experience head over to Whining Pig or the Wandering Tortiose but if you're looking to fill your growler eith excellenf craft beer from all over the U.S. COME HERE!!! I checked the bottle selection prices and compared it to nearby locations as well the breweries we just went to in California. These prices are the same or less. So whatever your craft beer needs are come here. Alley pup sure will. The man behind the counter was super awesome with excellent customer service. They even sell growlers in glass and stainless steel cheaper than any place we have been to so far. This spot won't disappoint. It's hard to add anything more after my previous review, but the Virginia market continues to compete as probably the best beer vendor in the city. They strive to sell the highest quality beers, including limited release brews that are difficult to find elsewhere. Their product knowledge is impressive and the customer service can't be beat. read more

On the corner of Virgina and 7th Street. I really like this place... you can run in and get your last minute items... say, ice, wine, flip flops, a knife, a calling card, britney spears cheetos, soda, fake grills (they go in your mouth), a pipe for your errrr. tobacco... you name it-- whatever is considered last minute for you. The people that work here are so nice. I would rather support a local place like Virginia Market than 7-11. The parking lot is easy to get in and out of too. read more

Tonight I called in a pizza as I have done a few times before, and went to pick it up promptly 25 minutes later. At checkout my beer, pizza and fresh homemade baklava (that was just sitting there asking me to buy it) came in at under $20...and they carried the pizza to my car for me. I adore this place for its convenience and for the awesome people that staff it. The owner is super friendly and always remembers me -- and they have the best selection of beer and wine that I have seen in any convenience store anywhere. Other neighborhoods should be jealous of Coronado just because of this store. read more

I love the Virginia Market. I live in the neighborhood so I frequent this bodega pretty often and have had a great experience every time. They have a wide selection of wine, beer and even do growler fills. They have other items for cooking which is super helpful if you need something in a pinch. Virginia Market is a nice little beer and convenient store in the Coronado historic district. I believe their growler station has 20 different craft beers on tap. They also have a huge selection of craft and commercial beer. It also has a smoke shop section near the register for those interested. It is family owned and they are really nice and helpful. I walked in for the first time, there is no curb appeal but your basically downtown so its typical. I new what I was looking for and this place was supposed to have it. I was looking for a specific beer for a gift. Turns out there was cooler after cooler and I knew I was gonna need some help. I wander up to the front where 3 store workers or maybe 2 and vendor where talking. As I approach all three stop talking and the one guys says how can I help you. I explain what I was looking for and he takes me right to where it is. It's in a can and I want bottle.He responds No problem I will have it here for you this week. He takes my name and number to call me once its in. I do not know how it could have been any better. He said they would special order anything I wanted and they basically stock what the customers want. It felt like the shop existed only to serve me. I hate shopping, looking for what I want and end up settling for what the store has. Not here. If they don't have what you want they will get it for you. Amazing, but this kind of service is not easy to come by this day and age. read more
