This is a great store. I believe it is a father-son pair that owns the place. Both are very friendly and willing to help you find anything you are looking for. I have visited several times and asked for recommendations based on past beers that I have enjoyed, each time leaving with some beers I would have never found had it not been for their help. This is a promising Craft Beer store. Plenty of good choices now and the owners say they want to add more great beers. The owners are very nice and even jotted down some of the beers I thought they might want to carry. They carry 220 different beers now and want to expand. They had several different varieties of Founders, Bells, Deshuttes, Firestone Walker, and other craft beers. They are also willing to take request on beers that they don't carry. Stopped here today for the first time. Clean, neat, and bright store with lots of cold craft beer! Alan helped me and was so nice and very knowledgeable. We both love big, bold, non-hazy IPAs! Took home a small growler of Top Secret Battle Monkey and a few cans of a couple of IPAs. Super fair and reasonable pricing. Also gave me my favorite style of glass, a tulip. Wow! This tiny little store is crammed with some great beer. I flew in from out of state and struggled with what to buy due to my very limited luggage capacity. Definitely the best spot for craft beer in North Phoenix(maybe AZ?) for sure. There's an incredible selection, price's fair(can even get singles of just about any beer he has and he prorates the singles to the same cost as they would be if you divided the cost of the 4, 6 or 12 pack it comes in) and the store is always kept clean and the beer is always fresh. On top of that, the owner Alan(and his father also) is very friendly, will provide an honest opinion on the beers he has in stock and couldn't ask for better customer service. Greatest craft beer store of all time. The selection is incredible & prices excellent. I met owners Alan(son) & Tony(father). 2 of the coolest dudes I've ever met. I was able to sample a beer I bought a growler of. Also, you can piece together 6 packs & they don't charge extra for the singles! They just divide them out of the 6 pack total cost. They were extremely helpful in recommendations & helping me find whatever I wanted. And if they don't have it, they are willing to order it. Good shop to find hard to get beers and they have a good selection of local brews. Both guys I've seen working are top notch when it comes to service and the owner is very knowledgeable and nice. Neither of them are pushy and happy to help. I have been to another place relatively close to here and The Hop Stop prices are cheaper and the vibe is better. I don't want to be judged for what I'm drinking or for not knowing every nuance of the beer. Really recommend here for supporting local and small businesses all around. If it were possible to give this place 10 Stars, I would. I saw this place out of the corner of my eye, by chance a few years ago. I saw the "Craft Beer" Sign- 2 of my favorite words- and decided to stop in. I am so glad I did. Allen and Tony are the best! They are very knowledgeable and always super helpful. I am an Imperial anything kind of guy and they are always letting me know when something comes in that I might want to try. They have a great selection of craft beers at very good prices and allow you to break about 4 and 6 packs to grab a single. I live 20 minutes away from their place and will go out of my way to go there, even though I have several other establishments within 5 minutes of my house. These guys are great!!!! read more

I'm not an avid beer drinker, but damn, this place offers so many interesting combinations of flavors of beers, wine, and mead that I'm eager to open up my palette just to try it all! They have such a great variety of stuff that other craft beer stores and big chains like Total Wine or Bevmo don't stock! I'm definitely intrigued! And the service is top notch. We were greeted, allowed time to check some stuff out, asked if we had any questions and given the break down of their deals and what they had in stock. I dunno, it was all very chill and the 2 guys in the store this evening were so down to earth and so super nice! They have doubled the size of the place! They have growler fills now (no tasting tho). Im not sure they even sell smokes anymore, they are dedicated to craft! The staff is knowledgeable and super friendly. The turnover rate on beers is super fast, so you can bet its fresh or it will be deeply discounted! Best place for craft beer in No Phoenix. They squeeze a lot of goodness into a relatively small space. The guys who run the shop are a father and son duo. Very friendly. They made some nice recommendations on local and wider distro beers. A very nice selection of Founders, Modern Times and Firestone Walker in particular. They don't charge any premium to break and mix 4 or 6 packs.
