Delicious fresh flavorful First stop while visiting Denver was this place located near a concert venue we were going to. The restaurant was busy (always a good sign). The menu offers a lot of great options. We decided to share a salad and a toast covered in goat cheese and fresh jam. The portions are definitely big enough to share. So yummy. Wow this is about to be a new Cap Hill staple for us! The aesthetic is amazing and bright and the staff was super friendly and helpful. You order at the counter, grab a number, and they bring your goodies out to you. We got the OG Açaí bowl - w added vegan protein - the Capitol toast & the Framer toast. Everything was delicious! Hidden Gem! I first came in with my friend on Saturday for coffee and tea. Amazing!! The place has a hipster/easygoing vibe and I loved it. Lots of plants and homey space. I got the Blue Lotus tea sweetened with a homemade lemon ginger simple syrup that turned the tea from blue to purple. And my friend got the Chai tea with coconut milk. Very refreshing! We decided to come back on Monday and it did not dissapoint!! Unfortunately they were out of their sourdough bread. Nothing big to fuss about as they were able to accommodate with substitutions. I got the East toast and my friend ordered Hill toast. Even with the gluten free bread the food was delicious. I am really surprised this place only has 4 stars. I came to Denver on a work trip and found this place. For context, I'm a picky vegetarian and have a lot of digestion related health issues. I usually try to find fresh, flavorful and often times simple foods while I'm traveling. We had the farmer plate, the biz caprese, avocado toast, Thai peanut salad, the chai with almond milk and the cappuccino with oat milk. Every single item was fantastic, made with fresh ingredients, and tasted really very good. This was over 2 different meals. The place is very popular and gets very crowded so I'd avoid if you want something really really fast. but the staff is very cordial and the vibe is very nice. read more

This really is the perfect spot to catch your breath in. I got myself their carrot cake juice and a couple slices of toast. I was in heaven with my juice. It was absolutely delicious. It reminded me of carrot cake enough that I was able to taste it, yet still feel like I was being way healthier than just drinking a slice of cake. The toast was kind of just toast, but the jelly spread they had was very tasty. My one gripe has to come with the price though. I get that everything here is local and organic, but it definitely comes with a bit of a hefty price tag. It's somewhat worth paying for just for the environment, but it's still the sort of thing that might dissuade certain people from becoming regulars. Definitely a place that's recommended by me. The prices are steep, especially if you need to substitute GF bread and/or non-dairy. For this reason, and the fact that their GF bread is terribly overtoasted and their espresso/coffee is abysmal, led me to take off a few stars. I opted for something with a little more protein as I was going hiking and needed an extra boost. I ordered the Farmer toast. I wanted to order a kombucha from Happy Leaf, but they were out sadly. Luckily, the Farmer toast comes with a very large portion size. In fact, it comes with so many dressed greens that you can't even see the egg + garlic toast.... I was a huge fan of this as I had seen other toasts throughout the restaurant that seemed to be a bit underwhelming. Reason for 4 stars instead of 5? The prices. This place was a perfect stop for lunch before hitting up the Denver museums. It's in a little corner location in Capital Hill, when I first arrived I thought this was something you would find in Berkeley CA, homey kind of place with a 70's or so vibe to it. The inside is funky and creative with all kinds of signs and knick knacks, artwork. It's definitely homey with down to earth people that hang out here. Then menu is is also eclectic and varied but it's mainly composed of Toasts, Salads with juices and coffee drinks. They also seem to specialize in Kava drinks and even some CBD options. They also do your proverbial Acai bowls and a few smoothies. I was there for a late lunch so I decided to go with a salad and because I have not had a good taco salad in a while I decided to go with the Southwest one they had on the menu. All the food here is organic which is great and they also offer vegans a chance to sub out cheese for avocado which is more than fare. Most places like to do the vegan tax thing not here. Basically is a little disorganized here in that you order at the counter and then they give you a superfood card which you put on your table. Mine was Lemon but I saw others like Acai etc. It's cute and all and I liked reading how great lemons are for you but the people who deliver your food seem to mix up the superfood card that goes with what you ordered. Maybe it was just a glitch but just a warning that if you order something don't just assume they will find you. Along with my Southwest salad I got a Kava Golden Milk drink which was really good. The Kava is a bit numbing and bitter but goes well with the creamy Turmeric coconut milk. It was warming and a great substitute for coffee. The Southwest Salad had fresh greens over tortilla chips, black beans, pico, onions, black olives with a spicy vegan ranch dressing. It was nice sized and it was filling with the avocado they put on top as well as the black beans. Perfect for a late lunch and I still had a lot of energy after to walk to the sites. If I come again I want to try the Bahn Mi toast which looked interesting with the tofu or the Hill which is with hummus. They also offer a half toast half salad for $9 which would be a nice match. Only other thing to mention is they do not want people to use the tables for any computer work. The have strict policy that if you want to work on your computer you have to use the bar. I think they want them open for people who are actually eating so I think it is reasonable but the bar only has like 4 spots so I guess they could fill up. Also they do run out of items here, especially the deserts. I came after 1 pm and they were out of most of their items in the desert case. So if you have a sweet tooth you might want to come here earlier in the day. Corner beet is kind of fun happening spot I recommend checking out if you like local healthy eats with a non touristy cool Denver vibe. read more

In the past, it would be episodically awesome, then everything would be sold out, or orders would get goofed or etc - the usual small biz/hippie food cafe deal. No biggie - and we were glad it was here to get super-rad juices in middle of winter! About a year ago, it looks like someone else took over the management, and there was a big change in staff, and man - it is CRANKIN in there all the time now. Example - now gone is the huge but kind of gross if you think about it beanbag, in is the branded n sassy tshirts etc for sale. Quality is still very high, just everything is much more consistent now. SUPER BONUS STAR for opening up on Sunday with a small brunch menu - a real nice treat on a weekend. Usually quite busy, so tip to the wise - try to come slightly off peak and make your order simple - it is really tough to top the 8oz juice for in-house consumption, a half n half toast and ala carte greens with the lemon pepper dressing. Boom. They have all these other fun things I would like to order, including some intriguing CBD infusions. Would love to go more frequently, if I lived slightly closer and worked from home. The overall building is for sale, so I hope they can make the transition and/or move slightly closer :) read more

It's been over 3 weeks since I visited this gem of an establishment, and I have been thinking about the house toast ever since. Admittedly, I am more toast-obsessed than the average human, but that means I have a lot of basis for comparison. All of the toast here is served on thick, sizable pieces of sourdough bread (2 pieces), and one order is enough for a meal. Me and one other person ordered the capitol toast (avocado, tomato, balsamic glaze), jam toast (goat cheese, fig jam, pear) and the aforementioned house toast (beet butter, honey) to share. Both of us agreed that the beet butter toast was out of this world, and we devoured it without a trace. The jam toast was our second favorite. The capitol toast was good, but it was difficult to eat without a fork and knife... which is not how I usually eat toast. I love tomato, but it seemed like there was too much going on flavor-wise and the avocado fell by the wayside. The avocado toast might have been a better option, and I plan to try that next time I go. As far as ambiance goes, the place is cozy with a trendy/hip vibe, but not to the point of being pretentious. Seating is limited, but we did not have trouble finding an empty table. In conclusion, go here and try the house toast! You won't regret it. read more

I absolutely love this vegan spot - one of my favorites in Colorado! Staff are so friendly, helpful & welcoming. The super-food lattes are phenomenal. I had the Mayan queen and it was SO good. For vegans - they substitute any cheese for salads and specific food items for free! If you go anytime after 9:30, expect a line out the door most of the time because lunch time gets pretty packed. Parking can be really difficult since it's on a Main Street area but the food, drinks and overall vibe of this spot is awesome. read more

Searching for vegan options I found The Corner Beet. I always ask for recommendation when visiting a new location because I love to to hear the staff brag about their food. The cashier gave me a few options but I went with the Banh Mi because I wanted something with a little kick. She also allowed me to sample different juices until I found the perfect one. Banh Mi- baked tamari-glazed tofu set on top of vegan mayo stacked with house pickled daikon and carrot, fresh jalapeño & cilantro. ***Ask for light mayo, they packed it on. I want to visit them a couple more times before I can give them all 5 stars. It took about 16 minutes to get my food from the time I paid till the time it was placed on the table. When I asked for silverware, I was told that I can get it myself, over in the corner of the restaurant. What am I paying for in the 20% gratuity? I'm open to tipping optionally based on the perceived value above-and-beyond the value of the food that I am receiving, but if you want to make more money as a business, raise your prices. You're not going to want to leave!!! The space is open, bright, incredibly inviting and homey. Lots of wood, greenery and fantastic artwork help with all their chill vibes. Seems like a great place to get some work done, read a book on that giant bean bag which was so hard to leave, grab a healthy lunch or just catch up over some delicious drinks. We only stopped by for the a quick drink before we headed back on the road, but I truly wish we could've stayed longer and for a taste of what I'm sure was delicious food, made with the same love and care as the drinks were. The kiddos split the "Carrot Cake" juice made with coconut water which was said to be a favorite for the younger ones. I had a delicious, very earthy, perfectly spiced, very flavor packed iced chai which I loved. They also have a matcha chai! I have never seen this combination of my two favorites before! Very nice! There are flyers for lots of yoga, health and spiritual retreats as well as music festivals which the owners were at when we came. I enjoyed my meal, but the high cost puts a significant damper on things. $25 for toast and a glass of juice? I know, I know, it's not just "toast." It's locally-sourced, bird-friendly, non-GMO, cage-free craft toast cooked on a bed on Tibetian prayer flags. And the juice! Cold-pressed, organic, baby carrot-free blended in a responsibly-sourced aluminum bicycle-powered blender! Hurrah! Don't get me wrong. This is good food. The toast comes with two thick slices that are chewy, substantial, and have a great buttery crispness. The bread that came with the soup however was hard enough to drive nails. It was a dangerous game trying to devour it without ripping out the roof of my mouth. The soup itself? Healthy and bland. Toast toppings are elegant (sparse) but very flavorful and well-balanced. Juice was very good. Tasted of liquified plant matter and spices. Sorry. I may need to lose weight and eat right but my wallet doesn't need the purge. I gave it a shot because my wife demanded "real food" on her vacation after suffering innumerable pizzas, burgers, and chicken wings. Good on you beautiful wife! And to be fair, I did receive a luxurious smooch after suggesting we try a place with "beet" in the name. Glad I came. Probably an amazing place for the discerning foodie with deep pockets.
