Printing it ourselves would have cheapened the look of the design, which we had professionally commissioned a graphic designer to come up with. After receiving quotes and time frames from various other printers in the area, Martyn Printing was by far the most reasonable and best to work with! I called one printer a few weeks before the wedding and he told me he could have them to me the day before the wedding -uh, no thank you! Weddings are stressful enough -last minute print job would have scared me! I worked with Lynda -she was great. She had super quick turnaround, both for quotes and samples and the end product itself! All happened within a few days. Guests admired the programs -they were printed on heavy Kraft paper. Very high quality looking -far better than the other samples we had received from other vendors. Martyn Printing was even able to use the exact paper that Elm Street Bakery uses, as they are a client of Martyn Printing! Fantastic! Highly recommend! At first I thought, "Well, I want beautiful invites but they don't need to be amazing. It's just paper." Wrong. After my first time looking at a Martha Stewart bridal magazine I whipped out my calculator and wondered where in my budget I'd find that extra GRAND for custom, letterpress, heavyweight paper invites. With ribbons. Calligraphy. Maybe even a BUTTERFLY would fly out like in Bridesmaids. That was Bride Brain taking over. A few clicks of the keypad and I realized I would not have butterflies or letterpress (certainly no puppy favors either). I took to the web and started searching, but nothing was really that great. Then comes some of my bride friends on Twitter posting about their amazing, custom invites that were crafted by a LOCAL biz. That was certainly something I could get into. I peeked at their goods at a bridal show I went to, then after seeing my Twitter-friends invites I got in touch with Rust Belt Love. Alyson is such a sweetheart, she's just someone cool that I'm glad to say was a vendor part of my big day. Our initial meeting was casual, we talked a bit about what I wanted my wedding to be like. We talked wedding "rules" and whatnot. I knew I had to have Alyson help me out with my invites! The process is simple, I threw out some vague words and ideas "English garden", "lavender", "pretty"... then she came up with three lovely designs. I again responded simply and then Alyson created an amazing design. So perfect. Then the proofs- awesome paper, she used somewhat sparkly paper for the under layer. Lovely. The colors were spot on and the paper looked and felt great. Mailing out my invites was painless... (besides being a bit behind schedule on my end... oops!) since they printed my return address on the back flap and I opted for calligraphy. So many friends and family gushed about how beautiful they were after receiving them, which was fantastic. The invites are a guests first impression of the big day, so I was so pleased that they got an awesome invite to introduce them. Our RSVP cards also had a bit of a "non traditional" RSVP option which so many people found to be adorable. I am so happy I was able to get the gorgeous invites I really wanted for my big day. Even more, I'm glad I got to support a cool lady and her local biz! I will continue to recommend them to all future brides I run in to!

I gave them a draft copy of a business card I designed myself and was told they could design a card very similar to mine. They had a little trouble with their computer software getting the circumference accurate on my circular logo, but eventually they worked it out. Also since they didn't have a brownish/black font color I wanted, we settled for making the font a bolder dark brown. They showed me the final business card design on their computer and it looked perfect. I gave them my approval to print the 500 cards. Being that I've done business before with Elmwood Print Out some years back and was very pleased with their work, I paid them in advance. BIG MISTAKE! When I got my business cards, the logo was oval and the typeset was too light and small to read without a magnifying glass. When I complained, they reminded me that I approved the draft shown on their computer. I, in turn, reminded them that they did a printout of what I saw on the computer and other than changing the typeset to a bolder font, it looked perfect. When I further complained that these cards are not the same as what was originally shown to me, the owner got belligerent and told me I'm being too picky and he's not going to reprint the cards because of some minor details. He told me that the circular logo wasn't that much off & that's the best they can do with the typeset in brown. He further had the audacity to tell me I'll just have to use up these 500 cards and he'll fix the logo and typeset when I place the next order. When I told him these cards are not acceptable, he stated "I'm not reprinting the cards and I'm not going to continue this conversation any further." He refused to deal with the matter any longer. It's obvious to me that Elmwood Print Out is contemptuous toward small independently-owned businesses who expect honorable work in exchange for their hard earned money. I can assure you, if I was a big company or large firm, he wouldn't be as condescending and inattentive to "minor details" and accuse me of being "too picky". In the future, I'll be taking my "little" business and spending my "little" money to more reputable transnational businesses. And I definitely wouldn't recommend Elmwood Printout to any of my colleagues or business acquaintances.

I was able to invest in a bulk order and saved quite a bit with their generous bulk pricing options. Barrett and his team are a joy to work with and were able to digitize my difficult artworks that include gold leaf paint and colour correct accurately for the glare. My original works are 5x7s and the 8x10s look great and the proofs of 11x14s as well. I was given some extra goodies as sample proofs. I also had note card sets made and amazing stickers with a foam core display. Barrett also customized the backs of my cards with a variation on my sticker designs that is super cool and took the time to brand my stickers with my business name. Buffalo Big Print will take the time to get it right and treat your art with respect. I'd recommend them to any artist looking for high quality ink jet prints of their artworks. They offer many tiers of paper and prints.

Of all of the ones I used, this would be the one that I would send other people to. It's closer to fancy suburbs, but they give you top notch big city service along with countryside, middle of nowhere pricing. It's not dirt cheap, but it's cheaper than some places with corporate values and pretty bad service. And they're not nearly as judgy as some of the other printing services in the area, who found some of the things that I was printing questionable when they're really not questionable at all 9and we live in America). In any case, this is where I would go next time I needed something printed in the Buffalo area, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.

A very bitter sweet experience with this company. I decided to go with a local business for my new…read morebusiness cards. I have design experience and sent them my custom design and was sent back a beautiful digital proof exactly as I had designed it. On the back of the card was a QR code that scanned from my phone and many of my friends phones successfully on both my original design and on the proof. When I received my printed cards, to my disappointment, the QR code did not scan. Calling back Gallagher printing they told me that my QR code was "not a true black" and this was the reason it wasn't scanning. The QR code was in fact a gradient, however the proof they sent me containing a gradient from my original design scanned with no issues on several makes and models of phones. They instructed me to send them a QR code in all black and they would be able to correct the issue. I did, and about a week later received a call that my corrected cards were ready. When I went to pick up the cards I was informed that I need to pay a fee on top of my original charge because I had made a mistake in my design. I expressed my dismay but ultimately felt they would not let me leave with the cards without payment. I'm very happy with the end result but very unhappy I was charged for an error they had made. Why does my proof work perfectly but my actual print not match. And if they knew this to be the case, why did they not inform me prior to printing. At that point there is no reason to send a proof. As well the company is basically telling me they are incapable of reproducing their proofs correctly which can only mean more of these issues will occur with future customers. I'm a little disappointed at the lack of Yelp reviews for this business because I feel this will go overlooked. In all, great cards, god awful customer service with a poor attitude towards the customer. Was treated like this issue was my fault from the start when I clearly know it's not. I'm hoping anyone at the company reading this has more of a mind geared towards repeat customers and customer satisfaction. Please don't treat your customers like I was.
