I realize it's company policy, so this is a corporate complaint, not an individual store. I'm trying to do an exchange for a slightly different item because my son bought the wrong one. No exchanges or returns can be done unless you have the receipt with you or they can look it up under your reward #. My husband and I went into the store, which was our first mistake. there was a they them behind the counter with a mask on eating a doughnut as he handled the copies that he needed to make lifting the mask up and down to consume his donut while on the floor he was helping another customer who happened to be my husband when I was trying to match paper, so I stepped behind the counter to look at the paper colors upon which he lowered his cotton mask and yelled at me to get out from behind the counter. I simply replied that I was trying to match paper and he told me if I wanted paper I had to buy it in aisle seven. I replied with you used to be able to take the paper here to make copies and he said get out and go buy it in aisle seven. And I told him that you used to be able to do it and he said never! Never ever! and I said how long have you been working here and he replied eight weeks so his memory isn't that long and I have been a customer there for over 20 years. At that point, my husband got very upset at the way he spoke to me and told him "don't speak to her that way" and then he grabbed his little microphone and called for back up stating I'm being abused. I'm being abused call the police! Upon which another day them in a mask yelled from across the store "don't you ever go behind the counter" the manager did not investigate, he didn't ask questions, he yelled from across the store because he was now afraid as well so the two they them coward behind the counter continuously yelling while there were too lovely elderly ladies in the store who didn't know what to do. This is what happens when your father doesn't have an active role in your life, this is what happens when you're dysfunctional on every level you I am positive they dial 911. The manager kept going backwards into the back room, leaving they them behind the counter who continue to eat his doughnut. I will never go to the store again. You're better off to actually cut a tree down and make wood pulp and make your own paper then to deal with these incompetent jokes at the store level read more

I was sort of in the area of the BJs in this plaza and came for the BJs. Then I saw the Office Max. Worked out well. Have had some used ink cartridges in my trunk for a while for recycling here. So I came in. It's a typical Office Max, large, items easy to see, prices well marked. My recycling was easy and fast. Parking is only ok in this plaza. 3 stars for this large chain. I default chains to 3 stars as they must be A-OK to expand as they have. read more

Revamping my home office led me to OfficeMax. I entered the store with no real expectations but even so I was very impressed. The store is well lit and very well organized. Immediately on entering, I was greeted by one of the staff and asked for f I would need assistance. I explained what I was looking for and was shown where it was. Instead of leaving, I decided to browse to see if there was anything else that would be an addition to my office. As I was pleased with the selections available in office furniture. One of the associations, being more interested in my needs that making a big sale, showed me the clearance items in furniture. After deciding not to make another purchase, I paid for my item and left the store. I will be back. read more

I'm going ahead and now raising my rating of this location to 4 stores. After making a fairly large purchase and having to go through a return process as well - I'm very pleased to say that both processes were very good. The sales person who helped me with the selection of my office chair was quite informative and explained the differences between some of the high end chairs, which is what I needed (based on my own level of knowledge - NOT his) - made that statement so no one would believe they try to get you to buy the most expensive. In fact - my salesman helped me find the best deal on the chair - saving me $100.00. I did purchase the "Office Max Essentials Kit" too - mainly because I don't want to have to worry about purchasing another chair in three years - totally covered with the "kit" AND the most important part - they put the chair together for me. Of course it also comes with some cleaning spray and cloth - fun wow! Speaking on the organization of the store - I could find everything I wanted very easily - the selection was good, price was good and service both purchasing and returning was excellent. The only reason for 4 stars and not 5 stars is because they seemed just a tiny bit confused when I was picking up the chair and making the return at the same time. The cashier was ok, but I think they have room for improvement there - most people experiencing what I did would give this a five star for sure. read more

Called today to speak to a technician. Was supposedly with a customer, then was told he was on lunch and left my number and name. Never gave me a call back. Had technicians put Microsoft office and McAffee virus on my laptop. Never had a computer run as slow as this. If it were loading any slower it would be going backwards. Pfft! Never will buy anything there again. read more
