New - Li Hing Mango Cookie
    Sharon M.

Located inside of Kahala Mall, we were greeted by the very nice employee. It is a walk up like all other cookie corners in the same area as Subway. The employee who helped us was awesome and offered for us to try their new cookie rhe Li Hing Mango. I was hesitant but decided to give it any try. It was really good. It was like a buttery/shortbread cookie which reminded me of the butter cookies they sold at my elementary school. It had a small piece of li hing mango in the center which gave it a little chew. It was oh so ono (delicious). We experienced great service and ate delicious cookies! We actually went for the brownie cookies which is our favorite. If you love Brownies, this cookie will be amazing as though you have a corner in every bite.

I love most of the cookies from the Cookie Corner. I especially love the bite sized cookies that come in a cup, the chocolate chip and walnut one. I love crunchy cookies and those are it. I get the big cup for $11. They usually have a specialty cookie that they promote for the week. This week was white chocolate mac nut, one of my faves. I didn't get it, but was so tempted to. The bigger cookies are sold by weight. They're usually around $3 for one.

Lately I have buying the tall assorted cup of cookie bites as a treat to myself. The only complaint I have is the assortment seems to lean to lots of whatever they might have on hand at the time. Sometimes lots of chocolate cookies other times small ones I can't exactly tell what they are- snickerdoodle or coconut? At $9.99 they last for awhile and it makes me feel better eating small cookies - even if I eat 5 in a sitting.

Chocolate chip cookie! I don't think we'll ever get tired of their cookies. Located inside Kahala Mall. While walking around, our nose found The Cookie Corner before we even saw the sign. They have a variety of cookies and they are all well made. So fresh and warm. Employees here were kind and wrapped our goodies neatly. They share a space with Subway. We are fans indeed.

    Chocolate Dip Shortbread Cookies

I've resisted coming to the Cookie Corner for years, but finally I had to give in! Cookie Corner located in Kahala Mall and sharing a small space with Subway. I just had to follow those sweet bake cookie smells wafting through the mall and capturing my senses drawing me in. They have a variety of prepackaged items to give as gifts or to just take home to enjoy. Today the chocolate shortbread dipped cookies called out to me...Eat Me! Eat Me! I'm sure Kim C. and Lori I. hears these sweet voices calling them all the time.. haha! I enjoyed the cookies that I purchased, but felt kind of ill after because I ate too much of them...Oink! I'm really glad I finally gave in! Got Milk?

Got halfway through my cup of cookies and found this on one of the cookies. Not sure what it is exactly but looks like dirt and lint..? Absolutely DISGUSTED.

"Goodie" bag and more than you bargained for!

We ate more after dinner when it's already cooled down and it was still good, but nothing beats fresh. Service was efficient and the line moves pretty quick.

However, there are many alternative malasada purveyors throughout Honolulu, so I depended on local vloggers to find the best ones. This one popped up often on YouTube, and as luck would have it, we were dining at The Pig & The Lady on the next block. How calorifically convenient. We took the opportunity to stop by for a pre-dinner snack since they closed at 6PM. It's a cute shop with multiple sweets including quite a selection of housemade ice cream and delectable mouthfuls called Cake Bombs (Photo 10). We decided we would be good and ordered one unfilled Malasada each. Dusted with various sugar flavors, they were just $2.65 a piece. I went for the Coffee, while Jamie chose the daily special, Cinnamon (Photo 6). They were soft and tasty, quite comparable to Leonard's albeit a tad smaller. That wasn't necessarily a bad thing since we had dinner ahead of us. However, we let temptation get the best of us and shared a $5.50 slice of the Ube Haupia Mac Nut Bar, a yummy combination of sweet potato and ube topped with haupia (coconut milk pudding) on a macadamia nut crust (Photo 9). Truth be told, it stole the show from the malasadas. This is clearly one of those places that feel like they're too good to serve you if you're not meeting their aesthetic. Yeah, very Beverly Hills (attempt, but likely wouldn't do well there), kinda "clicky" like vibe, snooty, haughty seeming like vibe, maybe a lil tad bit stuck up, and for the tiny little portion and "big show" , I probably would have liked it somewhat, but also would have felt guilty for paying a fortune to be treated that way lol This place likely won't be around in a year, by the vibe I'd say it's slow times (wonder why). I know I will, happy to spend even more down the road- so many to choose from, trust me this place ain't unique in my experience.
