You'll receive a small cup of Condensed Milk to drizzle throughout as you devour it. Make sure you don't drizzle it all at once. Popular flavors are Strawberry, Mango, Oreo and Injeolmi (roasted soybean powder) but I must say, the Mixed Berries is gonna be on my top choices from now on! The owner now serves unique alcoholic tea libations, handmade Japanese sweets inspired gelato flavors and traditional Japanese anmitsu desserts alongside loose leaf tea offerings. The matcha lattes here are amazing but I love their hojicha latte even more with its earthy but well balanced flavors. Hands down my favorite tea shop of all time in Hawaii, and also what inspired my own tea hobby/journey through the years. And it was a Tuesday night! Great that there was a menu on the door so we could see what the excitement was all about. Appeared to be fancy matcha drinks and desserts with a gelato bar. Decided since we had free parking and the line didn't seem too long, grabbing a gelato to take home shouldn't take long. There was only 1 person working to serve the entire restaurant! She had to make every fancy dessert! Omg. But as I watched her, I realized that she was so sweet to everyone and worked very efficiently. We actually did not wait long at all, as there were only 3 orders ahead of us. When it was our turn, she let us sample the gelato flavors. We ended up buying twice as many scoops because they were all so delicious! Not cheap but tasty! We got the azuki (creamy because it's mixed with marscopone), black sesame, miso (taste kinda like caramel), and seasonal watermelon (only for August). The matcha chocolate was very unique. Hubs had to fast from 6 am for his 2 pm surgery so I thought he would probably be starving and would enjoy a delectable salt and butter roll from here. At $4.50 a piece I consider this a luxury for us. I found a close stall in the parking structure. A very cheerful polite male employee took my order. I had seen two occupied tables as I walked into the shop. Both had matcha drinks. Why not? I asked the young man assisting me, what's the best matcha drink? He said his favorite was banana matcha with extra banana foam. Okay I'll try it. He repeated it to the cashier. So popular there was a wait for beverages to be prepared. Soon enough mine was ready. I think Doc would enjoy this drink. This shop is a working bakery. Many yummy pastries displayed. Menu is posted high up above to choose from. On Kapahulu and Campbell Avenue's - across from Zippy's Requested their Iced Spanish Latte...and like the men's Spanish national team in this Summer's World Cup...it was slightly above average. Both options come with fruit and mochi as standard offerings. Compared to the Hawaiian shaved ice, the Asian shaved ice was so soft and flavorful without being too sweet.
