(This review is for the new Ala Moana Center's 2nd location at the Diamond Head end by Macy and Lanai Food Court. which opened 6/3/26. A new page was created but merged with the Centerstage Level 1 - Cookie Corner at the Ala Moana Center. Wow a 2nd Cookie Corner store at the Diamond Head end of the mall on Mall level by Macy. I'm so glad that my friend mentioned this new Cookie Corner location because I told her I had a $5 off coupon on a $20 plus purchase which started today! I wasn't going to walk to the original store by Centerstage, but since I was by Assaggio, I was so happy to find this new 2nd location! It took over Onaona former location. I didn't even try that place and wasn't aware that they were closed! I was given back my coupon so I can keep coming back for more until June 15, 2026! Come to this location. Cookie corner has been around for years. I remember as a teen, one of my friends use to sweet talk and flirt with one of the workers and score a bag of some the cookie scraps that were broken up and couldn't be sold...those were the days. Fast forward to this past weekend, we're at Ala Moana and Joe K wanted to pick up some cookies to take back to Kauai. I haven't been to a Cookie Corner in probably 30+ years so I was thinking they only sold the big cookies in the glass case like before...was so wrong. They now have a bunch of pre-packaged stuff like Honolulu Cookie Company and Big Island Candies do. You know those great individually wrapped shortbreads in various flavors and some dipped in chocolate. Joe got a variety bag of the Tropical Fruit Bars and a small box of the Island Assortment Shortbread cookies. I got to sample both and they were fantastic. I especially like the fruit bars! Those were next level good. The shortbread was good too but the bummer thing about it was the box had all traditional shortbread cookies, none of the dipped in chocolate. I definitely like this location better then the original downstairs location. Everything is nicely organized and the workers are nice. This month's special is Butterscotch pecan and it's honestly the first cookie from cookie corner that' I didn't like. I would say skip it and stick to the originals. Tucked away in a strange part of Ala Moana...near the big food court but not really...kinda under the escalators. But it's also easy to find because the smell of cookies baking is undeniable. The front side has a number of fresh baked cookies in a case. You can buy them all individually. Along the other side is boxed cookies. It's those boxed cookies that bring me back. Awesome shortbreads...but the best of all are the fruit bars (lime, lemon, and lilikoi ). This last visit we got a box of the fruit bars and what was supposed to be chocolate dipped shortbreads. The sweet smell of cookies... Is found right here in Ala Moana Center Street level right beside the Centerstage and all you need to do is follow the scent of freshly baked cookies. The Cookie Corner has been at this location as far as I can remember keeping it as is while nothing much has changed other than the love that has grown for its cookies Nadine had made a stop which I can understand why as we were wondering if they had some Almond Cookies to celebrate the current Lunar New Year and they did! I spotted a bag on the top of their display case and oo I knew it was perfect to share though as I paid noticed that they did have it in their famous larger sized in their display case which is the perfect snack to graze as you browse around the mall. These fun treats does make it special without a total commitment and the the staff there are just amazing making sure to greet us all as there's always a crowd yet are take care of is amazing. I was thrilled as it was so difficult to find Chinese Almond Cookies during these time of the event and that it was a limited item special which took care of my craving that I never knew was there lol! Walking on the ground level of Ala Moana Center, near Center Stage, a wonderful fragrance captured my attention... it was The Cookie Corner I wanted to see if they still had the Limited Edition of the Chinese Almond Cookie - because Lunar New Year was yesterday (1.29.25). They did!!! Irene noticed that there were bags of Chinese Almond cookies on the top of the display case, as well as single, larger cookies in the display case. She reasoned that by buying just one cookie, it satisfies cravings and it's less of a "commitment" from a bag of cookies! She's so logical! Sold! There were two gals at the cash registers to take care of all of the customers! Wow... this open-air, takeout shop is busy! Whenever in the main mall area I smell the baked treats before even seeing them. I automatically walk in the direction of the cookies to check out the offerings even though I already know what's in the case. My favorites are the s'mores and basic chocolate chip. I always end up buying both because it's double the treat. Staff are friendly and line moved quickly. The staff are nice and attentive which moves the line quickly. I love the Cookie Corner. Their different locations are all good at keeping to the recipe. I really appreciate the consistency. Some cookies are by weight while others are by cookie. My husband likes the SMOREs one, but I really enjoy their chocolate chip varieties or snickerdoodle ones. I feel that the cookies that are prepackaged are really bad compared to their freshly baked ones. The workers are usually very quick to serve but not overly friendly. LOVE THIS PLACE... cookies are always fresh and delicious. You can smell them coming down the escalator in Ala Moana! Usually order their original chocolate chip and try one of their limited time cookies, always a hit! Only issue I had on this occasion, I had a question about the fruit bars they sell and went to ask an elderly uncle working behind the booth. Said "excuse me" but I guess he didn't hear me so I waited to the side until the line of customers was gone. When he was unoccupied I said "excuse me, I have a question about your fruit bars" (with no attitude btw) and he looked at me from the corner of his eyes and walked to the back and didn't come back. I'm a very basic chocolate chip cookie (sometimes with nuts) kind of person, so I started with Oatmeal Chocolate Chip w/ Walnuts and omg I was in heaven, especially eating them while they were still warm! The cookie corner was always a staple growing up, and I recently revisited it to bring treats for a work event. Unfortunately this location doesn't open until 10am, but there was a line outside the stall when I arrived at 9:45 with hungry breakfast cookie seekers. My favorites are always the sugar cookies dipped in chocolate and triple chocolate chip, but I was able to throw together a box of 18 massive cookies that were a crowd pleaser when I got to the office. Always a pleasure making a visit here. The staff is very friendly and the cookies are always so delish especially the brownie cookies. If you haven't tried this brownie cookie yet amd you love brownies and their corners, you need to try them. They are AMAZING! They sell a variety of cookies here. Something about these bite sized cookies, like tater tots, have the right proportion of everything in one bite! *Fist Pump* But, these aren't the only cookies they sell. They do sell the full sized ones in other flavors also. One of my favs is their Snickerdoodle. When I only want 1 cookie, this is the one I get. Otherwise, I always have a hankering for those cookies in a cup. So, I was informed by the worker that the difference between the cookies in the cup vs. the ones in the boxes is the recipe. The box ones are made with margarine and the cup ones are made with butter. Haven't tried the box ones at all, but I'm good with the ones in the cup. We have always eaten Cookie Corner cookies this way with my daughter's peanut allergy, and it has never been a problem. When I mentioned it, one of the workers said that ALL the cookies come into contact with peanuts. When I asked if that meant on the same platters or cooling racks, etc., a different worker said he didn't know, maybe already in the batter from the mainland. Now I don't feel comfortable with her eating any non peanut butter cookies from there if peanuts could be in the batter.. and if that's the case, there should be a huge warning sign since many people have peanut allergies! read more

Flies, flies, flies! There are flies on the cookies and in the showcase! For the price you are charged for this product, at minimum, there should be no bugs on your food. The owner should fix this right away! If a fly eats the cookies before you do, then you should fly away! Please look in the showcase before you buy and im sure you will see one or two flies enjoying some cookies! I have gone there 3 different times and the flies are always there.. Fly cookies, Yuck! On a side note.. Do you notice how they keep the scope that they never use on the scale! Seems like everyone gets charged for the extra weight! Hmm..Food for thought. read more

My hubby and I were shopping at Ala Moana last week and we had to indulge in a few sweet treats. First off, I have to say that no matter which location you go to on the island.. Cookie Corner is consistent with serving amazing cookies with friendly service. They are definitely the best cookies I've ever had! The cookies are so good and most are served warm.. giving it that "fresh out of the oven" homemade taste. They have a variety of cookies on display behind the counter. They even have several boxed cookies that make a great gift. Some of my favorite flavors would have to be oatmeal chocolate chip, s'mores, brownie, and chocolate chip with walnuts.
