Nice people and very flexible on ordering...they don't technically have 2 or 3 meat meals but they…read moreaccommodated. Wife got the lunch special and it was a massive sandwich with a side and drink...I got brisket, turkey, and jalapeño sausage...all outstanding. I always benchmark a Q joint by the brisket and this place could stand toe to toe with anyone in the Texas top-10. Nice beer selection, clean, fun atmosphere, and not overpriced. Will certainly go back!

Had a business meeting here and got a sampler plate to go, chicken, brisket, turkey with 3 sides (…read morecorn , coleslaw, potato salad) with two large drinks =$65 I personally didn't like the turkey as it was more like turkey bologna that was smoked ( maybe that's what it's supposed to be? Smoked turkey bologna?? I wasn't really sure but that's the texture of it) The potato salad was mainly like mashed potatoes and purple onions mix 1/2 to 1/2 ( no one else liked it either, and I never asked them about it/ all volunteer opinions) " same about the beans " The brisket was pretty good The spicy bbq sauce good Corn rated as fair to midland / not bad but not good, just cream corn I like pinto beans so I got some unfortunately they were very bland and no extra flavor ( I.e salt , pepper, onion, garlic notes) Coleslaw I didn't try it, it mayo based and I like vinegar slaw, so can't say anything about it. Tea was self serve so I had lots of ice which some places don't give you enough ice anymore In general I wouldn't drive out of the way to eat here, it's just a handy location between San Antonio and Johnson city on 281
