Nope! Don't believe the hype and definitely don't do what others do and give in and say "oh these…read morecakes are so good." You know that you had better cake from an HEB and not pay hundreds for it. Fat Kids don't even eat the chocolate cakes from this place. I had a great picture of 80% leftover cake in the trash but the yelps took it down.

This place is in a great spot for foot traffic because of all the other places next to it. When you walk in there are tons of chocolates, cakes, macarons;etc. I took a look around the whole shop just to see what they offer and I have to say the options seemed almost limitless. I did like that they had gifting chocolates already out. After walking around, I ended up just buying the Kanafeh & Pistachio Taco which was a whopping $14.00 ! I do have to say for the size of the taco, I don't believe it's worth that much. Don't get me wrong it was very delicious and can appreciate how much of the mixture they tried to put in it, but the chocolate ended up being too much for me. Now to talk about the service, this is where things were a little awkward since the 2 employees were having a conversation the female was loudly talking about how she was pissed that things had to be done a certain way and complaining about doing stickers or something to the male, when I tell you I heard the entire conversation.... I heard the entire thing. Just my 2 cents, if you're going to complain about anyone that has to do with the business maybe be a little quieter with customers around or wait until they leave.

There were very limited fresh selections available, and many items were still being baked during opening hours. In my opinion, a bakery should open with the shelves fully stocked and ready for customers, especially those of us stopping in early. The prices are reasonable, ranging from about $2.50-$4.00 for both sweet and savory pastries, but price doesn't make up for the lack of availability. I expected to have more options to choose from instead of empty or partially filled displays. For consistency in early morning breakfast items, I could have easily gone to Krispy Kreme, where you know exactly what you're getting when the doors open. That said, 85°C is convenient and their mango smoothies are great. Overall, it's a decent spot, but I wouldn't recommend going first thing in the morning if you're expecting a full pastry selection.

My sister & I bought milk toast, a berry tart, hokkaido custard bun, matcha red bean bun, jalapeño cream cheese, milk tea, & a chocolate bun before going over to the Tesco mart to have some shopping fun. Everything was good & if I did have one near me I'd be 100lbs bigger from binging my favorite Japanese style pastries all the time. The selection here is unmatched.

TLDR: Was visiting my daughter, we decided to do a little road trip to some hill cntry towns. I…read morethought we would do a bbq sandwich tour/comparison. I'd earmarked Old 300 as the place in Blanco, to go up against the others. We arrived on a Monday about 1:20p. After lunch hour, and the place was packed. (that's an indicator right there. One of the slowest days for restaurants during the week, and not at peak meal time.) The line went quick. They have what's listed as a "BBQ Sandwich" - it's a blend of chopped brisket and chopped pulled pork (not in long, stringy strands) together. We were going to hit other towns & sandwiches, so for the two of us we just ordered one sandwich and a side of potato salad. We got it to-go. Sat at an empty table. Got ourselves fixins - some doctored up onions (sliced, seems like they sauté them a little in butter and then top w fresh cracked black pepper), pickles, and both their Sweet and their Spicy sauces. They brought it out quickly, less than 5 min. We opted to just eat it there instead of take it to the next town. We topped with pickles, onions, and the Sweet sauce. Oh my freakin' sweet Lord! In this small Texas town with an unassuming spot a block and a half off the main road going through town, easily one of the top 5 bbq sandwiches of all time - no joke! To break it down, we tasted all items individually. The onions are delectable - softened from the sauté, good moisture from the butter, delicious. The Sweet sauce is crazy good. A fantastic balance of sweet, tang, & slight bite. I've never said this before but it's true - told my daughter, "I could just sit here and dip these pickles in this sauce for the next 30 minutes and be completely satisfied." The sauce, yes, is that good. Daughter is not a heat/spice lover, but she did try the Spicy sauce and we both thought it was definitely tame as far as heat goes. We both thought the Spicy sauce was okay. The Sweet sauce, though, stellar! We were overwhelmed by how good it all was. When we got to the car, I said, "All the ingredients together was like a symphony." Next time I visit her, am absolutely gonna suggest another drive out to Blanco specifically, to try some other items on the menu. But I can say this, for the BBQ Sandwich, pickles, doctored onions, and Sweet sauce alone, Old 300 is worth a generous drive and you will 100 percent be happy as a lark. Thanks for fantastic meal, Old 300. Will most definitely be back.

Will certainly go back!

Our family loves to get up early on the weekends and do trail runs or kayaking at good spots around the north side of Canyon Lake, so a delicious fresh-pressed juice is the perfect post-workout refresher. I just had to stop in when I saw the "Open" sign illuminated last Saturday morning. Turns out they have a curated selection of fresh juices (all priced at $8 for 12 oz), they also serve a small menu of snacks, non-vegan hot breakfast sandwiches ($7), all-natural snow cones ($5), and even adult brunch drinks ($4-$8). There's also free wifi and plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating. My "Heavy Green" was just what I was craving, a Popeye's power-up with several living vegetable juices and a pinch of Himalayan salt. My partner went with the sweetest option on the menu of the day, the "Peach Punch" with pineapple and watermelon, of which he saved half to make a perfect cocktail later. The manager, Jeff, was super-friendly and someone I'd love to see succeed as a small biz owner. From reviewing his social media posts, it looks like he has great plans to offer local delivery and weekly cleanse packages, as well. If you're on the north side of Canyon Lake and looking for a healthy, refreshing snack option, Texas Juice Company is the place for you! Know before you go: Same strip center as House of CBD, across 306 from the entrance to Canyon Park and Brookshire Brothers grocery.
