I asked myself how many years this veteran had been with CBTL, and how much he was getting paid. Kyle moved like a PRO--he clearly loved what he was doing and he was locked-in, fully focused and in the zone. He was moving like a ninja barista. When he had a second, I asked him how many years he had been with CBTL, because he was moving like a veteran. He said he had only been with CBTL for about a year, and he clarified that he was only 18 years old. Everything he said surprised me, because his full facial hair made him look older at first glance, but upon closer review Kyle had a very young face. I drink a lot of coffee and Coffee bean iced coffees hit different. I think it is the combo of espresso and the powders. This location has been here since early 2000s. I used to frequent this spot when I used to live in Thousand Oaks. I ordereda dry iced espresso with a few additions off the app. It was ready when I arrived. It was wonderful. Great place to sit and read, work, or study. I like the mocha, the mango tea iced, and the ice blended white chocolate.

The drinks were good and I had no issues with the quality, but the customer service really needs improvement. The two girls working were rude and not attentive to customers. When asking for simple items like napkins or cup holders, they came across as annoyed and unfriendly. A better attitude and more attentive service would make the experience much better. read more

I've always been a huge fan of CBTL and prefer it over Starbucks. They always accommodate my customizations and allow me to split a large drink into two cups for my kids. As others have mentioned, definitely request light ice or you're going to end up with 3/4 of the cup being ice. Even though their ice is yummy, I still don't need THAT much of it. Lol. Regardless, CBTL is far superior in taste to Starbucks. This particular location runs like a well oiled machine and the employees are kind, attentive and welcoming. read more

I've been going to Coffee Bean everyday for probably 5 yrs. When I say everyday, I mean it. I lived in Marina Del rey and when to about a dozen different Coffee beans down in LA. I moved up here to Oak Park and started going to Westlake CB. They were never good, and the wit even w/the mobile app. Was bad. I knew bout TO because my mom lived up here before she passed. I now drive from Oak Park to TO, on the daily to get my vanilla ice blend. They are 100% consistent, perfectly blended and it never taste like the blender is dirty. My mobile order always gets backed up and waiting around 20 minutes in the cafe just now when the receipt says in a few minutes it should be ready. The baristas did inform an impatient customer that an employee called out so they are short staffed and another customer stated that the other CBTL locations closed so this is the one everyone flocks too. I have worked in retail and it sucks because there's nothing else the baristas can say to the customers of the backed orders and disgruntled customers. Everyone needs to be patient and sees that there's one barista just taking orders and one barista making all the in-cafe ordered drinks AND mobile orders. I will say I would be upset too if I saw other customers go order after me and get their order ready even tho mine was mobile order; however, they really are just 2 people working on a Saturday afternoon. read more

Staff is always super friendly, drinks are always made in a reasonable amount of time. Always lots of parking in the area, and there's usually a table open if you go at the right time. Little bit loud for a coffee shop, and could use some more seating considering how much open space they have, but not the worst setup in the world. I submitted my mobile order at 9:40am, they mark the order completed about 7 minutes later, I then had to wait an additional 25 minutes for a couple coffees and 2 bagels. They were not busy either, no line, and 2 people waiting for a drink. Normally, I'm patient and would call it an off day, but this isn't the first time that's happened unfortunately. Love this Coffee Bean location! The staff here are always so sweet and friendly. The drinks are always made correctly and delicious! I love getting the orchard peach iced tea and the mocha iced blended with coconut milk. My kids love that they have chocolate milk, apple juice and pastries that they enjoy, such as cinnamon roll or chocolate muffin. The bathroom is clean and well stocked. There is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, never seems overly crowded here. They have WiFi and plug ins for laptop charging. I've met clients and friends here for chats. It's great! read more

Coffee bean has been a favorite in my family for years. My mom introduced it to me as a kid and I was utterly excited when I saw one around the corner from my house. I love the ice blended vanilla with whip cream and caramel drizzle! All of the staff working there around the clock are very nice and courteous.
