Service was off at this location. I walked up to the registers to order and saw two employees standing there - no greeting. Just talking to each other and leaving me by the register for a while waiting to order. After waiting a couple of minutes, the gentleman took my order and minutes later, my drink was ready. If it wasn't for the female employee who ended making my order who was very pleasant, this would've been a two-star experience. She handed my order, I asked for my straw and headed to my meeting. Had 30 min between flights and this was right outside the gate. Honey and cookie butter lattes were both great, as was the service from the staff. Coffees were strong as they should be - I miss coffee bean back in austin. order was out in less then 5 min for all 3 orders in my party. took a star off as the burrito was definitely powdered eggs, potatoes were flavorless and tortilla was basic.- would not recommend the burrito. read more

Yeah, we're doing this. It's a 2 because of the employees on shift that day. I mean, how are you going to argue with a customer regarding health snd safety protocols during a pandemic? Check it, here's what happened. August 28, 2021: We placed an order using the app. Never have issues with this. I go into pickup the drinks and the employee is immediately rude out the box. I stand in front of the pickup spot, and can see that nothing is behind the counter waiting for me and that my name and order are still on the monitor. It's not ready and I'm not early. The spot is empty except for me and 2 other people waiting. Okay, things happen, not trippin. The employee yell over the counter to me, "need something?" I said, just waiting on my drinks. She tells me I didn't order any. I figure she's kidding and said, I did on the app. She argues with me. Then says I came too early, you'll have to wait. I reply, I have no problem waiting but I'm not early. She makes my drinks and instead of telling me she's done she slams them down on the counter. Mind you, at this time, my pregnant wife is waiting in the car. I ain't got time for the employee's temper tantrum. She says nothing. The other two people start talking to her, while breathing and leaning over our drinks. I know masks are on but still not a good look to have others food in front of them like that. Then one of the 2 others waiting reach out and touches our drinks, pushing them over a bit. For a minute, I thought they might be theirs so I hold my comment. I see the other two get handed their drinks, now I know those on the counter were ours. I ask the employee of those are ours. She says ya, take them and mutters some stuff too low to hear. Now, I'm done with her attitude. I ask for the shift supervisor, who heard all of this go down from jump and didn't intervene. I ask the shift supervisor to remake the drinks and that her employee needs some retraining. We go over customer service and food and drink protocols during COVID. I watch her make the drinks with the employee trying to talk to the supervisor and then glaring over at me. I get the supervisor's name. The employee refuses to give hers and she didn't have a name tag. The shift supervisor gives her own name and says she'll take care of it. No disrespect, but I doubt that and I place a complaint with corporate. Unnecessary. Just wanted our drinks without the extras. Final Word: Good location, horrible employees. read more

Unfortunately one too many bad drinks has led me to this review. I'm a HUGE coffee bean fan, and worked for the company as a barista in 2021. My problem with this location is the staff seemingly not knowing how to properly prepare the drinks. Iced drinks have hardly any ice (even when ordered with extra ice), they've mistakenly made drinks with full powder/fully sweet even when ordered with half powder, and any teas or tea lattes don't have a strong flavor of tea at all. Today, I was excited to try the new vanilla spiced chai tea cream latte. After the cashier had trouble hearing that I wanted a regular size (after clarifying twice with me), she mistakenly rang it in as a regular chai tea latte. When she went to fix it to the correct drink, she re-rang it in as a large. I went with it anyway. Watching the barista make the drink, he topped it with their vanilla cold foam. It poured as a liquid into my drink. He closed the container, shook it, and tried again. Same result. He then went to the back for a colder container of the foam, and finished topping my drink with that. When I picked it up at the bar, my drink was white in color and had almost no ice. The "foam" was like skim milk, sinking to the bottom with no flavor. The chai and "vanilla spice" flavor were nowhere to be found. It was basically a room temperature milk. Again, as an ex barista and Coffee Bean lover this spot is really disappointing. Seeing as there's no drive thru at this location, I hope management invests more time in training employees properly. read more

I ordered this on Uber Eats and to receive my sandwich with a long piece of hair in it is pretty disappointing. And to go back to the app to see that the sandwich was unavailable after ordering mines and trying to contact Uber Eats & the store is pretty suspicious. Uber said they would contact me within 12 hrs after sending proof of the hair being in my food, but to finally get in contact with someone who wasn't the manager who supposedly wasn't there at the time, and for them to just offer to remake my drink and nothing other than that is pretty aggravating. This was the final straw for me with ordering through Uber rather than physically getting it myself. Not the first time this has happened to me. read more

This is my first time trying Coffee Bean coffee. The line was crazy long but it moved quick enough. They sell coffee and tea in many varieties along with light bites, snacks and more. I ordered a medium Midnight Mocha iced coffee ($6.75)and loved it. The coffee was strong but smooth. It taste like coffee and high quality hot chocolate mixed together. The Coffee Bean is everywhere in LA! I got the avocado toast and it just was not fresh avocado spread and the bread toast was very hard and not appetizing. The iced coffee I got the first day of my visit I requested oat milk and it tasted like it had regular milk and my stomach verified that later that day. I went a different day and I saw them use the oat milk this time and it was a better result. So its a hit or miss here. read more

What's not to love about a coffee shop that can make a good caramel macchiatto. It was better than the one I had from Starbucks the day prior. My daughter had the chai tea and said it was very good also. Now, the food was another story. I had a blue berry muffin, and when I saw them take it out of a drawer and clip the plastic, I knew it wouldn't be fresh. It was ok, not bakery fresh. I love Coffee Bean but I don't get why they don't make their locations more cozy. It's supposed to be a place where you warm up with delicious coffees...this place should feel inviting and a place where you want to read, chat or do whatever helps you warm up and relax. Instead, it's plain, hard wood chairs, bright lights and it was super cold inside. We ended up having our coffees in the car! If the car is a more comfortable place than your establishment, that should tell you something. Also, there was only 1 type of cookie and 1 brownie left that night, close to after the holidays...I was hoping to try some of the holiday sugar cookies AND there wasn't any holiday speciality drinks on the menu....so confusing. read more

I don't know why chain coffee houses just can't get it right when it comes to customer service. Didn't get acknowledged when I walked in the door and stood at the register for 2 minutes before the barista said hello. Did she at least greet me with a smile? Absolutely not. This was my first time at a Coffee Bean in a while and I noticed they had a flat white one their menu, so I ordered it iced, along with a cinnamon roll. In fact, I said iced twice and the barista repeated it back to me after ringing it in. A few minutes later she put a large drink in a hot cup on the counter and told me it was my flat white. I reminded her that I wanted it iced and then she started playing stupid (well, I'm assuming it was play-acting), saying the flat white only comes hot. I asked why she didn't tell me that when I ordered it iced, and she said she didn't know I wanted it iced. Hmmm, oooooookay, sure, as if we didn't say iced three times between the two of us when I ordered. Should have just asked for my money back but I was running short on time, so I took the hot coffee and left. I wish I had some of what she was on so I could be in an oblivious haze for the entire day, too. If the coffee was good it would have salvaged the experience, but the milk was over-steamed and the whole drink had a burnt taste to it. The cinnamon roll: dry. This is just another coffee shop not worth anyone's time or the effort it takes to park and get inside. Go elsewhere. read more

Just ordered a Vietnamese cold brew iced coffee and I'm pretty sure the condensed milk is either spoiled, expired, or they used a powdered creamer (hopefully) instead. The drink has weird white powdery balls that just break up into smaller pieces when I try to stir it. read more

I love that this place is so close to the freeway and on two major streets. Off of Crenshaw and 182nd st. The only thing that I know is out of the place's control is that parking seems to always be an issue when I come here. Its your typical Coffee bean & Tea Leaf type of place. You can expect to get the same drinks, treats, and great service that most coffee bean locations give. The staff here has always been more then accommodating and sometimes I want to mix up my drink orders so I ask what do the recommend etc, and they usually surprise me with a specialty not on the menu drink. I love that! I tend to go towards the coffee side when I come here however I think I just might life the tea a lot more sometimes. When they have it brewed I get the peach green tea iced. Amazing, super refreshing and no sugar so you can really taste the peach in the green tea. The hours are your standard coffee shop and they have a pretty efficient drive thru.
