I discovered this Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf while running some errands in the city of Brea, I was so glad I found it because I always need an afternoon energy drink and CVTL has lots of them to keep my hydrated and energized. This location has indoor dinning area and an outdoor sitting as well. I personally prefer the inside dining area because they have comfortable sitting area and a fantastic music Playlist selection. I have bought some of their merchandise like their cups and their curated teas in their cute tin box. The baritas are always very friendly and the drinks are ready pretty swiftly. My favorite drink is the iced Green tea, lemonade this keeps me lots of energy. Also, I love their seasonal drinks like the pumpkin drinks and their Berry, Hibiscus, lemonade. I like their drive-thru especially when I'm on the way to the office because their service is always friendly, fast and always accurate too. Mia took my order through the drive-through. She was so sweet. I asked her what the new drinks were cause I saw some new ones on the menu so I decided to try the ultimate cold brew iced blended. It's delicious flavorful and strong and I love the chocolate squirrels they put on the side of the cup. She had a smile and I got my drink quickly. It wasn't too busy today. I like this location. It's near Trader Joe's not as often but the parking lot there's enough parking we can go inside. We're going to drive-through and the service is always friendly. I really appreciate that. This place has always been my go-to for both hot and iced Chai tea latte while for my husband, it's the cookies and cream ice blend. We are regular customers at this location and visited numerous years due to not only their drinks but also wonderful customer service. The staff are pleasant to interact and fast pushing the orders out. Recently, I noticed that they changed their cups and I love it! They are exactly the same cups that you can see at boba shops. You can either sip or use the straw, which is brilliant. Applauding the improvement as it is no longer flimsy. I asked the barista, through the intercom, for a recommendation and they suggested the Cookie Butter Iced Latte, as I was inquiring about the hot Cookie Butter Latte but they mentioned the iced latte was more popular. The only thing that normally makes me not enjoy CBTL flavored drinks is because of the powdered flavors. I prefer a syrup, because of the consistency, balance, flavor, taste, and no powder separation. Overall, experienced good customer service through the drive-thru. However, they did run out of receipt paper though... so I am not sure whether or not they were trying to "conserve" paper or literally did not order enough? Or... did not want to replace a new roll. ZERO STARS---Ordered a decaf cappuccino regular size one shot. I received about a quarter of coffee with 3/4 of foam and the espresso coffee. It was so bitter and gross I wasn't unable to drink it. I think someone forgot to add the milk. Unfortunately, I went through the drive-through and was not able to return to have it corrected because by the time I took a sip, I was too far away. Rolled through the drive thru for an afternoon pick me up while running errands. The iced latte is smooth coffee with a creamy finish and such a balanced flavor. The iced cherry blossom tea has delicate fruit and floral notes and is absolutely delightful. Drive thru had two vehicles in front of us but moved in a reasonable amount of time. The line at the drive thru never seems to be too busy or packed. I've gone once in the morning and once during lunch. I've tried the teas, as well as the Vietnamese Iced Coffee. Both were very bland and watered down. Also tried the Ham Egg & Cheese Brioche, which was standard. But wish they had more options with real sausage. if I can give this place a negative star, I would 1000% do so. I had probably the worst experience. I can possibly have this morning at this location in Brea, California. It's my day off and I was super excited to enjoy a coffee from coffee bean and my cheese danish. I order my order and I specify that I would like my cheese danish double toasted. The reason for me to specify this, is because every single time I order a cheese danish from any coffee bean location, they never actually toast it and the cheese in the middle is always freezing cold. I get to the window to pay and grab my order and an employee of yours named Marissa is working the drive-through window. She hands me my cheese danish, and I realize that it's still super cold. I brought it to her attention and I mentioned to her how this cheese danish is still very cold and that I asked for it double toasted. In the middle of me explaining that to her, she slams the drive-through window in my face , as I'm speaking. I was taken back so quick with pure shock as to what just happened. I'm still very confused on why that even happened. She reopens the window and puts her hand out and says " give me it back ". I handed it back to her and I see her at the toaster oven toasting my cheese danish standing there with her hand on her hips. She comes back to me, I reach out to grab it and she throws the dish through my car window. She then proceeds to hand me my drinks basically throwing them at me. I then ask her for her name and she told me her name is "Marissa". As I'm driving away, she reopens the window and screams " have a great day. " as she continues to laugh. I called the store and spoke to the manager named "Anna". I told her about the situation that I had just encountered with one of her coworkers, and all she could do was laugh and not take the situation serious. I asked her for the corporate number, she gave me a phone number to contact "310-903-4906" and proceeded to tell me that Marissa is not from their store and that she's from a store, she believes somewhere in Downey, California and that they had multiple callouts today trying to excuse why she acted like that. I can care less how many callouts, I can care less what kind of day she's having, I can care less about what is going on with her. I am a paying customer and I refuse to be treated and bullied like this. I then hang up the phone and proceeded to call that number that she gave me, just to find out that it's a fake number and "it's not in use" and that there is no corporate number. Let alone, they did not give me my receipt. Which is even more frustrating. I am so extremely disgusted and in disbelief. I can't believe that a business has low class, no life, disrespectful people working for them. I will make it my all to write a review on every platform. Their breakfast menu is huge and delicious. I tried the chorizo, egg, potato, and cheese burrito with chalula sauce. It was filling and the eggs were soft. I also always get the green tea Frappuccino. It's been a while since I've gotten blended drinks but this green tea frap is a must try. I got a large ice blended dark choclate + hazelnut with oat milk and whipped cream. It came out to be around $6.00. The birthday gift expires 30 days from your birthday and is pretty generous. The drink itself was so rich and chocolate-y. It is best consumed when it's freshly blended but we were too full. I prefer blended drinks from Coffee Bean over Starbucks. read more

When I ordered the Americano I asked if I can have milk added, and the guy asked how many cups I wanted. Whether I go inside or use the drive-thru, service is always good and the staff is always friendly. The store is clean and open and lots of light comes in the windows!
