Our last visit to The Chocolatier was back in 2021, so we were interested to see how things had changed. One thing I definitely like better now is that they take reservations, and I would highly recommend making one. Otherwise, you could be looking at a pretty long wait. Our service was excellent. Our waitress did a great job taking care of us and managed to make sure our drinks were never empty, which is basically the restaurant equivalent of having a personal pit crew. One thing we discovered on the appetizer menu is the half-moon mozzarella. They're listed as part of the larger "Ferris Wheel" appetizer, but we asked if we could order them separately and were told yes. You get four for $15, and they were actually quite good. Unfortunately, the rest of the meal was more average. I ordered the short ribs with mashed potatoes. The meat was tender, but it was also somewhat fatty and didn't have much flavor. My wife and son both ordered burgers, which were OK but nothing particularly memorable. They do offer gluten-free buns, which was a nice bonus and definitely appreciated. Since we were attending a concert, the location was extremely convenient and made grabbing dinner beforehand an easy choice. However, convenience comes at a price here. You're paying a pretty penny for food that, at least during our visit, was just average. Overall, the service was excellent, the mozzarella was good, and the convenience can't be beat if you're attending an event. But at these prices, I was hoping the food would be more of a standout.
Came here on a Monday night with my family for dinner. It was a 30 minute wait or we could sit at bar which we did with our 4 and 6 year old. Service was a little slower but they were very nice. I got the Reese's Martini which i enjoyed. For dinner i got the heaths salmon. It was really good. My girls got the kids chicken tenders which was good. Overall we had a good experience. If you can make reservations, i would so you don't have to wait and you can get a table.
Made a reservation for 2 and was seated on time. We ordered food right away and it took about a half hour for two meals. I got the heath bar crunch salmon. Salmon was cooked well done, very salty topping. I expected it to be more sweet. The potato's and the asparagus it came with were also very salty, I could barely finish it. And I noticed it came with different vegetables than other pictures. My husband got the buratta app for his main and liked it but didn't think the sauce tasted like twizlers. Not terrible prices, same as if going out to eat around nyc. The ambiance was fine, it was at the top of the stairs of a chocolate store. I probably wouldn't go back but they do have unique Hershey inspired dishes.
Fun atmosphere. Interesting menu. Great staff. Got the sausage/apple/butternut squash flatbread. Huge letdown. Flavorless. SO MUCH POTENTIAL wasted. The squash was barely cooked no seasoning and nothing else had much flavor. Use a better cheese blend. Some garlic olive oil sauce would be good on it. Roast the squash! Some maple syrup, paprika, and S&P. This would make it good as opposed to hardly edible. Luckily, they took it off my bill and brought me a simple Cobb salad with their specialty vinaigrette. That was good. Better when they brought me extra dressing so I could actually taste it. My friend got the salmon. Um. It was pretty good. Once again, this could be better. It could have a better crust, but overall, worth ordering. The cast iron skillet is cute, but it caused the fish to overcook as it sat in there. The first bites were good, by halfway through, it was overcooked. Our 2 milkshakes were very good. I would come back and give it another shot, but I recommend a good chef taking a look at these items.
I don't get why this place isn't rated higher -- we had an awesome lunch here. The vibe was upbeat, the food was great, and everything came out looking way better than I expected. My daughter got a mint chocolate chip milkshake that was huge. She kept talking about how good it was for the rest of the day. We split the pork nachos, and I'm not exaggerating when I say they were the best nachos I've ever had. Fresh, moist pork, tons of whole chips, and nothing skimpy about the toppings. My friend tried one of the flatbreads and loved it too. It is a little loud because it's so open, but honestly, I liked the energy. Easy five stars from me.
The BEST place in Hershey, PA to get martinis! They have so many varieties. My favorites were the white chocolate and the birthday cake! Their food here is also good, quality and taste wise. Our bartender Cayla was so kind and helpful throughout our time at the Chocolatier. I have been recommending this place to all my friends and family, and I can't wait to come back!!
Food was good and server was nice. They have a very large drink menu but the drinks are hit or miss. An espresso martini ordered was very very bitter and the server was able to take it off the tab as it was undrinkable. The second drink was better, but still overly strong - which may be a good thing if that's what you're looking for. Other drinks such as the Bloody Mary and cotton candy martini were really good. The servers seem overly sat making it longer periods of time before our server stopped by again, but could clearly see she was running around and working hard.
Came here with a group of coworkers and our kids. We were able to make a reservation online a couple of days in advance, which was super convenient. Our server was incredibly sweet and friendly. The food is very rich, and of course we had to try the Ferris wheel appetizer. The kids were hoping the different dishes would spin too! Everyone agreed that the bacon was more like pork belly bites--way too fatty. Thin, crispy slices would have been much better. I had the salmon with the Heath Bar crunch - yum! The flavors of the sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, and salmon were so rich I couldn't stop eating. The only downside was that the salmon was overcooked. Other dishes at our table included a burger, shrimp risotto, and some kids' meals. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food, and we left completely stuffed. We do wish was that the ice cream shop downstairs stayed open later.
Overall a decent dining experience was had at The Chocolatier. And the general consensus seems to be that the Food here was pretty good but the Drinks stole the freakin show. And well, why not when you're talking about their incredibly indulgent Reese's Martini, or their super deliciously decadent S'mores Martini drinks. It just stands to reason that whatever main courses they served next had very little chance of overshadowing these outstanding refreshments. The Loaded Mac and Cheese with tender Pulled Short Rib and Smoked Cheddar Queso topped with Hershey's Chocolate BBQ Glaze was clearly a winner. Served in a "Kiss" shaped dish and with plenty to go around. [I'm definitely borrowing this recipe peeps] The Bourbon Maple Glazed Chicken and Waffles seemed to be lacking in both texture and flavor unfortunately the hand breaded Chicken offered zero flavor and the same could be said for the bone-dry Waffle. Thanks to that Maple Glaze and Huge Blob of Butter this dish would have had no chance whatsoever, Lol. Above reminds me of a funny restaurant saying I heard years ago- "Just feed them more booze, butter, and salt. They only have to live long enough to pay the check" LMAO!! more or less it's the truth sometimes, Come And Get Your Munch On!!
Stopped by chocolate world and saw the chocolatier and got a reservation on open table right away. We were greeted and seated immediately. Ive included a Pic of the food menu. I got the reeses chicken sandwich which was so good but if you want a strong pb flavor ask for extra sauce on the side. My husband got the chocolate tier burger. Good but same needed more sauce. Fries were crispy and cooked well. Too full for dessert. Service was good. Its a fun casual theme park esthetics like you are in a carousel.
Service was impeccable! Everyone we came across from hostess to server were attentive and welcoming. We decided to give this place a shot since we had been at the park the entire day. The food was definitely hit or miss. The drinks were fantastic! Food wise we enjoyed the ferris wheel sampler the best. Everything included in the sampler was delicious! Especially the glazed bacon bites and fried pickle dip. This was the dip of our dreams! The entrees is where this experience slacked. The loaded mac n cheese had a little too many cocoa nibs. The burgers buns were a bit tough. The NY strip was the best of the entrees we ordered. Overall this is definitely a drinks and small bites type of place. Definitely recommend everyone to make it in at least once to experience all the hershey creations you can't find anywhere else!
3.5 stars overall for food but rounded up since our server was great and I feel like this is one of those "must try in Hershey Park" at least once. And reservations recommended! We enjoyed the Ferris wheel app, we all preferred one app over another but overall we all enjoyed the mozzarella triangles, chicken tenders, Cuban spring rolls, dill pickle dip and chips, and pork belly/bacon bites! The chicken sandwich had no flavor and looked like they cooked a frozen patty. The burger was okay. The loaded mac said it has pulled short rib but they sprinkled cacao nibs all over it and my son didn't find the crunch appealing. The beef short rib was good, the sauce infused with cocoa but the cacao nibs really wasn't necessary since you don't really taste it but you have that awkward crunching. Well at least we can say we've been there but unfortunately we don't have a desire to go back.
Lots of mixed reviews, but after visiting, I have to wonder how much of that has to do with hot parents and cranky kids after a long day out. This place was cool, quiet, and upstairs from the gift shop, so easy to get to coming out of the park. Not bad at all to get to if you're just coming in for the meal from outside, though. If you're in and out just to eat, parking should end up being free. Service was friendly. Food was very good. Had some cool chocolate-infused items: cocoa powder in unexpected, but pleasant places. We had four adults and all liked their dishes. This was a month ago, so I don't remember the names of all the dishes, but I'm adding pictures. Did not go with kids, which are plentiful if you're already here, so I can't speak to that experience. We loved it.

Made reservations for dinner with the family. This place was nice and spacious. Plenty of seating throughout. Nice place to come and dine in the air if it's hot outside. I thought the place was a little over rated for the prices and food selections on the menu. A lot of the meals were chocolate infused I ordered the street shrimp tacos with fries .. thgt for sure there would at least be 3 tacos but no it came with 2 tacos for 18.99 . The tacos were good and the shrimp were big. I didn't realize they would come with beans and corn on them which was a nice twist. Our server was nice and attentive. If you want a break from the crowds and hustle & bustle outside it's a nice place to chill. Honestly I probably won't be back as it took up too much of our riding time. read more
Took my partner here for a birthday dinner the night before our day in the park. It is loud!!!! The restaurant overlooks the gift shop and with the amount of kids screaming in there it gets really annoying. We were seated closest to this. I think farther back in the restaurant would be fine. The drink I ordered was insanely sweet and not too enjoyable. The food however, was pretty good. We both really like our meals and loved the chocolate barbecue sauce. read more
We had reservations. They were made weeks ago and the only time they had open was 4:30PM. The place was half empty. The menus we were given were filthy. My fork and knife wrapped in a fabric napkin were not clean. They had chunks of food on them. The the glass the cocktail I ordered was very sticky to the touch. The side salad I received was wilted and dry. The $17.50 milk shake my wife ordered was good but it came 35 mins before our meals. The my Cuban sandwich was very soggy and her chicken sandwich was very dry. It required a side of sauce to be edible. The fries were soggy and the ketchup bottle on table was sticky and empty. The hostess was fine. Our waiter was very attentive but looked homeless. His uniform was way too big, dirty and was unkempt. Sorry but we are trying to eat. We eat out a lot and this was one of the most disappointing dinners out in a long time. read more
My family comes to Hershey every Christmas season, so we decided to make reservations at the Chocolatier again. I really love that there is an option for a nice, sit down restaurant right outside the park! We were seated a few minutes after our reservation time. Our server was nice and took our drink/appetizer order right away. The soft pretzel bites were so good! They came out right away and were the perfect app. The cheese sauce and honey mustard dips were a great addition. Our entrees took a while to come out. Once we got them though, everyone enjoyed them! I went with the Take 5 Reese's chicken sandwich. I was skeptical, but intrigued! I'm so happy I got it. I loved the pretzel bun and the peanut butter sauce and jalapeno caramel were awesome! The peanut butter sauce was similar to a thai peanut sauce and the bacon with chocolate drizzle was not chocolatey at all to me... more of just a salty/sweet flavor. I upgraded to sweet potato waffle fries. They were good, but they could have been much warmer. We opted not to do dessert, since we were heading into the park, but the desserts are awesome! We had some last time and the fondue is a must try. This restaurant is the most elevated dining in the park and their use of hershey products in dishes is fun and unique! read more

We had 2 amazing days at Hershey Park and had to make reservations for the Chocolatier with their chocolate forward menu. The location is about the store and there is outside seating as well. The restaurant itself is very cute with the carousel horses at the bar and booths that are old rides seating. We got to sit in the circular dome booth which I had recorded but lost the video. I read other reviews that said the food was overrated and overpriced but I needed to see for myself. We were a party of 5 and stuck to apps as we were going back into the park for more fun and snacks. The short rib flatbread was very tasty and reasonably priced. I loved the crunchy onions topping it. We also got the pulled pork fries which were really good. Both had the chocolate bbq sauce which was very tasty and not chocolate heavy. My niece got a salad and the raspberry chocolate dressing was really good!!! The drinks were impressive and so yummy we got the martini flight and all were great and the next day I got the frozen chocolatier which was amazing and refreshing. I liked the layout of the restaurant with an open kitchen to view the food being prepared and the wall of Hershey history by the restrooms. Overall it was a very nice experience and if your in the park why not! read more

The theme is excellent. From booths that say Comet to tilt-a-whirl tables to carousel horses at the bar it definitely feels like it belongs in amusement park. Yet it's not overwhelming. The menu seemed somewhat smaller than I expected but still had great offerings. Perhaps there's more offerings in the summer. I had pretzel bites with cheese and dejon mustard. The cheese was fantastic and the mustard was great as well. The chicken alfredo was excellent. The chicken was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the alfredo was excellent. The only thing is it was difficult to eat with a fork. For your birthday you get a free sundae. The price wasn't near as bad as I thought, everything was under $40. read more

Some say it's overrated, but I think it's a restaurant everyone should hit up if you're visiting Hershey park. The food was all delicious and had a fun theme around them. The appetizer sampler is definitely worth it if you have the right party size of 4 or more. The hershey's wings definitely the highlight of my meal. Burgers are kind of a miss, but the ribs and milkshakes are stellar. read more

Outstanding for a bite to eat after a long day at the park. Check out the Ferris Wheel appetizer but be warned it comes with a lot. Shrimp tacos were good as well. Definitely would come back next time we're at the park. read more

PROS: best restaurant in the area. Menu variety was good, prices were reasonable, food tasted great as well. Allison was a very nice waitress for us as well CONS: they had the extravagant milkshakes but didn't have basic ones for people that didn't want them huge. They also added unwanted raw onions in one of taco dishes when the menu didn't mention it OVERALL: we will definitely come back here when we're in the area. Just make sure you make reservations and ask for Allison read more

This is a fun visit when you are at Hershey Park or after a day at the park, but if you go just to the restaurant, you still have to pay $15-20 for parking, which I think is ridiculous. There should be parking validation after your meal. The food is good, decently average quality for the price. The flatbread was the best part and you are really paying for the novelty. I couldn't resist getting the Ferris wheel of appetizers and I would do it again! Our server was wonderful, timely and helpful. read more

You are coming here because you are tired from a long day at the park- not because this is a foodie spot, let's just be clear. With that said, our party of 5 ordered 2 kids meals, a salmon salad, and a burger. My salmon salad was actually done well. My watermelon jolly rancher martini was all sugar and no alcohol. Portions are decent, esp the kids meals- they were generous portions. Our table inside (entire restaurant is on the second floor) had a nice view of the park and gift shop. Service was good. This is a novelty place for sure, esp for their drinks (and for half the price you could get practically the same milk shake downstairs). *Highly recommend reservations for bigger parties in the evening, esp during peak season. read more

The food and drinks here were amazing. I had the Ghostini (seasonal) that was much like a White Russian. It was really good and the cocktails all were pretty cool looking. If you want something picture worthy--go for a milkshake. The food was pretty tasty too. My guy and I shared a chicken sandwich and it was delicious. I was in a party of 7 and all the food were good portions. Last, make sure you reserve a table in advance because it will sell out. The restaurant is right next to Hersey Park also. read more

This one is tough. If you are coming for actual food, DONT. Party of ten, and all the food came out cold. I told multiple people and all I got was "you want me to warm it up?" Or "I'm sorry". On star. Also, the JUMBO wings are not even close. Oh and cold. But when it comes to dessert it was the most amazing dessert I may have ever had!!! Easily 5 stars!!! So even it out and ... a 3.... read more

Points off for theme park prices which is to be expected I suppose but the food was much better than expected. They do hook it up with the meat on the loaded Mac and cheese, salmon portions on kids menu and drinks were very boozy so from that perspective a good value. We were there in the off season so I am sure the service was much better at that time than peak season when they are swamped and impossible to keep up. Classy joint overall though with a quaint ambiance vs the rest of the park. read more

Giving the place 4 stars solely because of the Frozen Chocolatier! I could easily have gone for a second. It tasted as good as it looked! Who could say no to a spiked mileshake!!!! The food on the other hand was so so. Pretzel nuggets were a bit dry. The pulled pork sandwich was decent, nothing amazing. The fries were on point. My friends ordered the Margherita/Buffalo chicken flatbread pizza and they really enjoyed them. One friend ordered one of the halloween themed mocktails - something blue raspberry flavored - it was terrible! However, they allowed her to switch out with the poison apple mocktail which turned out to be much better. Net net, it's a bit of a hit or miss But I'd still go back just for the Frozen Chocolatier! read more
This was my second time here. It was for my son's birthday celebration. They did take that into account and gave us a cool booth, that was nice. We were seated on time. We placed our order. We got the big appetizer on the Ferris wheel. (I really want to buy one of those). The appetizer came and was good. Everything above is why I had to give at least two stars. After an hour more of waiting, the waitress came over and said the kitchen must have lost the ticket because they haven't made your food and don't know what you ordered. I thanked the waitress and said we'd just like to leave. They comp'd the appetizer (we tipped the waitress based on what the bill would have been since it wasn't her fault). I'd normally rate this place higher, but they had an off day read more

Hersheypark is full of places to pick up sweets, but if you want something more substantial, you need to go to the Chocolatier. This is the place to eat at Hersheypark. Their menu is filled with delicious food, most with a twinge of chocolate cooked in. However, you will need to make a reservation to eat here, but, as long as the park isn't too busy, you should be able to make your reservation on the same day as your visit. read more

Chocolate is just what you'd expect at Chocolatetier and with that said your going to find it in just about everything here and that's totally what's good in every sweet way! Coming here was a long time coming as we just haven't gotten around to it but on one given night that happened to be my birthday I was all for the sweetness of it! We started with the Ferris Wheel appetizer because why not and let me say each component of it was just as good as the other. Our wheel came with pretzel bites with mustard which was probably my least favorite on here as everything else was just soo much better from the chocolate chicken wings to the fried avocados with that aioli to the chicken tenders to that super yummy Buffalo cheese dip! Everything from the wheel was just perfect for us all to share and also white filling! Of the many delicious options I went with the chocolate bbq pulled pork sandwich as that just sounded good for the time being and let me say it was just perfect as the whole sandwich was totally yummy and that bbq sauce is some of the most unique sauce I've ever had it was just soooo good! My friends and family that were with us all enjoyed their meals and their milkshakes and like seriously everything was delicious so much so that you if your in Hersheypark just come here to eat as it's the best place here! So during season they get packed so plan accordingly as they allow reservations online and they have a happy hour during the week on days that the park is closed which is one of the days we went even with us getting here around 5pm they were still getting busy so just make sure you have those reservations! If you have a season pass for Hersheypark you get a discount so don't forget to use that! Overall this was a super yummy experience that I'm totally going to be looking forward to trying again as the chocolate food options are just sooo unique and delicious that you really can't go wrong! read more

A great space- booths made from retired park rides, a carousel-inspired bar, & a loft view of the shopping area below. The food was less impressive. While our Black Widow & Reese's Peanut Butter Milkshakes were a foodie photographers w*t dream, the actual taste left us disappointed & slightly nauseous. The shakes themselves, while overly sweet, were enjoyable but all the extras were synthetic and tasteless. The fake whipped cream greased your throat. The chocolate cupcake & slice of peanut butter pie had no flavor whatsoever- it tasted like artificial food chemicals, not peanut butter or chocolate. I make awesome peanut butter pie & chocolate cupcakes. You'd expect to find confectionery excellence in Hershey USA. Sorry, I need more than a selfie from a $20 milkshake. read more
Highly recommend The Chocolatier! It's not just a hype restaurant being in Hershey Park, it's phenomenal! The food was all very delicious and worth the price: I cook a lot of food as we love to eat really tasty food and have a hard time eating out sometimes because many restaurants are not worth the time, but my whole family loved their meals! We came here for my birthday while visiting the park and it was wonderful having a relaxing place to enjoy a fantastic meal with my family on a special occasion. The waitstaff were all very nice and we were seating quickly with our reservation. I had the short ribs which were delicious and so tender you could cut them with a fork! We also enjoyed the pulled pork nachos, macaroni and cheese, shrimp tacos, bacon burger and chocolate chip cake all just as delightful! read more
This place is great! Only downside was the lack of staff so it took a lot longer to get service. I knew immediately that I wanted the mini martini flight and it didn't disappoint. I opted for the salmon salad and it wasn't bad. Everything is just so expensive. I think if you have a big group the appetizer wheel would be fun. I did also get the pretzel nuggets. They were fantastic and came out really quick. Also, the s'mores martini is really good! Their cocktails are very fun!! And of course many of them have candy in them! read more
Great overall experience. Definitely recommend making a reservation. Some of the menu items were pricey but overall it was good quality food and a great experience. We went there since we wanted to go to the Horror nights and I've been waiting to go to the chocolatier. We shared an app and a sundae which they both were pretty good. I really enjoyed their chocolate infused bbq sauce. As other yelp members suggested to not get the Ferris wheel app and I can see why. Some of the customers were getting them and the portions are little for the price of that experience. The sundaes are pretty big and delicious but they are sweet so be prepared for that. read more

So much potential. So much work to do. Please, please, please start accepting reservations. Why have 2-3 hour wait times?? That makes no sense at all! The demand for this restaurant is there - just make it easier on your staff and your patrons and accept reservations. We tried the first time to go for dinner two nights ago. After waiting in a line for about 15 minutes I approached the hostess and was told names were no longer being taken. Here's my question, why not post a sign or station someone at the bottom of the steps to let people know that? Last night we tried again, earlier this time and now found someone stationed at the bottom of the steps (hooray - good work there) to be told again no additional names were being taken. Today we got smart - lunch instead. We arrived at 10:25 am for an 11 am opening to find a line of two other families had already formed. We joined the line. They were told that at 10:40 that names would be added to the waiting list, but they needed to wait at the bottoms of the steps. 10:40 passed. 10:45 passed. Now about 7 other families had joined the line in the lobby. Finally at 10:50 a man decided to check and was told to proceed up the steps. Here's the thing ... you know a line is forming downstairs, why not invite the guests upstairs when you're ready to add names to the list? Simple customer service goes a long way. Now all of the people proceed to the steps to form a line to get to the hostess - again, if names were added when they arrived (or you accepted reservations) this would have avoided this rush. The wait staff was standing ready to go and the first family was called at 1103. Again, why the delay? I know it's only 3 minutes, but it's unnecessary. The next family at 1105, and we were called at 1107. Poor planning and execution when you are now turning people away because you are telling them it will be more than an hour wait. There's staff ready and tables open. This is a pretty easy fix! Anyway, on to the food and drinks ... the cocktail list is fun! We tried the Peanut butter fusion old fashion and the s'mores martini. Both great! The kids LOVED the cotton candy fizz. We saw several milkshakes be delivered to other tables, but unfortunately we were waaaay too full to try those. The fried avocado was unique and tasty. The Ferris wheel sampler was nothing special other than the adorable presentation - this app arrived after the rest of our meals because our waitress forgot to put it in. I'm not sure if we would have enjoyed it more at the beginning of the meal, but we certainly understand mistakes happen. Not a big deal. The flatbreads were good. The salads were crisp and tasty. The Cuban and Mac and cheese (the pork was tasty) were done just right. The burger was very overcooked. The decor is fun and some is from old rides. It's clean and open. This place has so much potential. I know it just opened - but at a month in, the basic seating issues should be fixed when you know you have a high demand. You have one sit down restaurant to manage - just fix it by having reservations. Your staff is taking a beating from frustrated customers. read more
We have tried it twice. Both times we had a wait, not that big of a deal. You give them your number and they text you when the table is ready. You have a half an hour to respond and get to the resturant so if you are the park you don't have to wait at the resturant. The food is pretty good, a little pricey. We ended up splitting an entree so we could get the dessert. Service the last time was a tad off. Our waters went empty. I thought the first time they had someone that just filled waters but maybe they were short staffed. Over all good meal. read more
