The Calamari had tentacles, but the clams are strips, not whole bellies....whole bellies are hard to find outside of New England, but there's a difference, believe me. Went here for the first time today and it was so good! My wife passes this place on her way to work all the time and I was hesitant to go because I don't really like fish too much. It depends on the type of fish, this may sound stupid but I don't like fish that is too "fishy" tasting. Anyways! She got the double fish and chip combo, I got the corn dog and hush puppies. Everything was soooooo delicious. The hot dog was really good, the hush puppies were really yummy, mildly sweet and crunchy. But the best part was obviously the fish. Oh my god, this fish. It was fresh tasting, light and super crispy, melt in your mouth. So good it didn't even need tartar sauce, just a bit of hot sauce. This is coming from someone who doesn't really eat fish. I wished I had gotten the same but I just stole food off my wife's plate. I'm convinced that the people who left bad review just cannot be pleased. I alway drive by this place and finally decided to stop in. I'm so glad I did! During this crazy time of Covid-19 it was nice to see the woman behind the counter wearing a mask and gloves. My wife had the coconut shrimp, I had the triple fish and chips, and my daughter had a side order of shrimp. Everyone loved their meal. I also had the lemon aid which was good as well. So this is true fish n chips, round fries, thicker long cuts of fish, I ordered shrimp, coconut shrimp, it was all good. The fish had a crispy crust, I ordered a two piece and I wish I got three. They are big though. The coconut shrimp was good but didn't actually have the coconut flakes it was more of a sauce. Still good. I like this place, I have tried other fish n chips within a few miles of here and this place won't disappoint. Do try this place. It is fried stuff though so you have to like fried foods but it's true to the old style fish n chips. 5 stars. I haven't eaten there in person yet, I ordered through Uber eat and it took 20 minutes. We were going to head up to argyle in kearny for fish and chips after shopping on rt22. The rain dampened our plans so I checked yelp for a closer place, this place popped up. Not at all a dine in restaurant but the few small tables were sufficient. Everything was excellent. The fish was done well and the chips are great. Clam strips are also recommended. read more

I liked how the "chips" weren't just potatoe chips but they were real potatoes! Small place you can dine in but looks like mostly for take out. Was so happy to stumble upon this yummy spot on Saturday that I will be back on today (Wednesday)! The chips were seasoned well & everything was piping hot (fish, shrimp & chips).
