This place isn't the worst but it's not amazing either. I would say the only thing I enjoyed were their fries. I tried their burger and chicken sandwich and honestly I wouldn't come back. I was excited to hear the Chicken Shack was opening nearby. However, on my 1st visit I was charged for sauces that I shouldn't have, but the cashier and their supervisor could not figure out how to reverse the charges and in interest of not letting the line grow longer, I ate the dollar and twenty some-odd cents. The next visit, they had decided not to take phone orders that day and the line was almost to the back door. One register was opened. I know myself and at least one other person that was waiting in line left after waiting for a few minutes and not moving a single step. My recent visit today, I was happy to see the ability to finally order online. After picking it up and getting home however, I found the chicken plain - with no sauce. Doublechecked both my order confirmation along with the receipt, both were very clear to TOSS 'EM with sauce! I rarely write reviews but now I'm just fed up. We frequently order take out here. The food is great but they have NEVER gotten our orders write. My crazy husband never checks until he gets home. Every single time he orders the fries to be seasoned...it never is. Once again tonight, non seasoned. Other occasions, they forget to season the chicken. Most occasions, they forget to give us the sauces. And even when a sauce is included, they try not to give it. Very stingy with sauce. Competitive restaurants are very generous with sauce. We will keep ordering since we love the food but seriously? The staff really need to get their act and customer service together. I've been 3 times, the first time was okay. Went the second time and I love desert heat in my chicken.. they put so much I wasn't able to eat it. If I hadn't already been home I would have taken it back. Went yesterday and omg.... I specifically said VERY LIGHT desert heat dry rub. Well, it was drenched with dry rub, so much so I was able to dump it off my chicken. We ordered garlic fries, we did not receive when we took them back they took our old fries ( by now cold after waiting in line for 8 min) and dumped garlic on them and gave them back. We tried The Chicken Shack, in Clovis, for the first time tonight. We hardly ever eat out and we were so excited to go. They had forgotten part of my order so I drove all the way back and picked it up. The cashier was so rude when I asked for a sauce to go with it. It made me feel so uncomfortable. Our original cashier was super friendly and patient. This girl was not. I'm not one to get easily offended either. They wanted me to bring my meal back to prove I didn't get the fries. Like I'm going to try and steal french fries? The chicken was so salty as were the fries. I'm so disappointed because we've heard such great things about the other locations. The Fresno chicken shack is much better than this one. In Clovis they did not offer nor give a receipt, until I went in and asked for one. Charges to my credit card were way higher than what was posted on the website and what was posted on the wall in the establishment. I had to talk to a manager to get a copy of the receipt to see why the charges were so high and get clarification on the major price disparity. It turns out they just charge more because it's Clovis and customer service skills are lacking. I'll stick to my Fresno location. read more

My kids and I were SO excited to try this new Chicken Shack! I had heard so many great things about it, so had to try for myself. We were greeted with smiling faces as soon as we walked inside the door. It was very refreshing to see smiling, happy faces when you walk in. It shows they like and want to be there. I ordered the fingers and wings!! My kid's ordered the kid's meals. I had to have a side dish of Mac N Cheese as well. Once we got home, we ate and I don't think I heard a peep out of my children the whole time we were eating lol. We loved all of it. The chicken is so tasty. The young lady working the counter did not greet us as she was in the middle of cleaning up. She asked if we had a pick up and then said "name?".
