not really the type of person to complain... but this was unbelievable!! i work close by so i ordered some barbecue chicken fries, i started eating it until i moved my fork and found a hair. YES A HAIR. i took a picture and waited to show the cashier who was helping another customer. i went up to her and i told her there was a hair in my food, she said ew and i asked her if she needed to see a picture or the food. i showed her the pictures on my phone and she asked for my food back. i gave it to her, at this point i was just ready to leave, she said they were gonna make a new one, on that i didn't even end up eating because i was so disgusted. I usually come her and the food is 9/10 but i will not be returning at all! Pretty sure it was the griller's beard or head hair!! read more

I've been coming to Chicken Shack since they first opened downtown on Fulton over 2 years ago. My one criticism of this place is the horrible lack of consistency. I usually get the buffalo chicken fries (a rip-off for $11.49 btw) and sometimes they're on point (perfect ratio of sauce to fries and chicken) and then other times it's super dry and hardly any sauce at all. Well I thought I could remedy that tonight when I went to get another order of buffalo chicken fries by asking them to toss the chicken in the sauce but apparently they DON'T DO THAT. didn't think that was an unreasonable request but screw you Chicken Shack, I will not be giving you my hard earned money for subpar food. Edit: I didn't buy any food that night after hearing they wouldn't toss my chicken in the hot sauce. Such poor customer service. read more

I like The Chicken Shack. Especially the original one on Lacey in Hanford. But this time I was disappointed. The one is Clovis can make great chicken, but the service is terrible. Lady at the counter was rude and they re-fry'd an old batch of fries. Making them hard, brittle, and tasteless. Definitely a disappointing experience. read more

Whoever owns this store or whoever runs it, should go spend some time there. Look, I'm a big dude, I like to eat. I'm not really picky , ESPECIALLY, when it's fried. Let's be honest, you could deep fry a cat turd and still find something to like about it......... Which is why I'm shocked. It was terrible. By far, the worst chicken I've ever eaten. Maybe old oil in the fryer? Maybe they cooked it 47 minutes too long? I'm not sure but it was awful. Good concept, terrible food. read more

It's a no for me which is unfortunate because I love the location downtown but there are some major misses with this location. Specifically the customer only bathrooms that were locked and also dirty. Wings have been hit in miss after 2-3 visits. At this point I'm giving up and headed down the street to Canes to brave the lines for a better overall experience. read more

The Chicken Shack - Only for customers I was a customer tonight but exploring other options next time. This was not a well thought out solution - Chicken Wings Near Me - Clovis, California

I cannot believe how this food has declined in the past year. We ordered garlic fries, bacon, cheeseburger, and loaded fries with spicy chicken. Had to send the fries back. They were loaded down with grease it appeared that they took the same fries put them back in the grease and refried them. They were nasty greasy. and cold. The cheeseburger was cold and dried out and disgusting. The bun was literally ice cold not even toasted so nasty. We didn't eat the bun and the meat was raw and the inside !! Never again will I give them another chance, disgusting food I do not recommend read more

Bomb! Buffalo fries...BOMB! Like fuego bomb. Like I can't say enough about them. Boooooomb!

A family member and I placed an online order this evening. The servers did not greet us and were incredibly rude when processing our online transaction. Food-wise, our order consisted of the wrap and the chicken sandwich. For the wrap, I can say (with confidence), that I'd much prefer the wrap offered at 7-11. For both orders, they utilized week-old lettuce and sauces that are better saved for cans. For the chicken sandwich, the chicken had no flavor (amazingly, no spices....just skin). Chicken shack? How 'bout chicken shit-with-no-flavor. This was first visit here, and it left a bad taste both in my mouth and in the general experience during visitation. read more

Wonderful customer service for my coworker and I. We loved the atmosphere and the food was great!

Great food and friendly staff! I got the Buffalo chicken fries and onion rings. Both were perfect. Huge portions

AVOID this location unless you have 45+ minutes to wait for your food. There was not very many people in the restaurant. They will also have you pay for sauce upgrades. The location was dirty. When you do get your food make sure to check it. Missed sauces and food. Plenty of people who received their food before me had to do the same thing. You will save time driving to River Park or downtown. read more

My fiancé and I ate here to see what the hype was all about after I heard from several coworkers that this place is off the chain. I order a chicken finger combo with potato salad. The chicken was 7/10, a little on the salty side for me. The fries were 8/10, they were well seasoned and tasted great. However, in the future I will ask for them to be extra crispy. Lastly, the potato salad was terrible with no flavor and super disappointing. Overall, I would rate this restaurant a 7/10, but sadly I would not go out of my way to eat here again read more

Wings were good but my tenders were plain when I asked for them to be tossed in the Hot sauce. They didn't include any Hot sauce, not even on the side. The girl who rung us up looked irritated and cut me off when I would try to speak. I was the one ordering but she directed all questions to my husband. Weird! And then when we were handed our food I asked for ranch and they said we had to pay for it. Who sells chicken wings and doesn't provide dips? The line was long so we decided to skip the dipping sauce. Bummed! I've gone 3 times before on my lunch during the week and they were so nice and the food was good. Now my hubby doesn't want to go back. :( Update: we were also missing wings. read more

No, No,No so clearly disappointed. The first picture is the Selma location AWESOME, the chicken and fries were still crispy 5 hours later (leftovers). I told my daughter and she told me Clovis has one so low and behold the next day we hit Clovis greasy and wimpy chicken and fries NOT crispy. Please take some cooking lessons and step up your food the way it should. We don't want to drive all the way to Selma. This is TOUGH. I LOVE this place, no other Chicken Shack was worth my time or located in bad or congested areas. Always fresh & friendly staff, but in the last two months SOMETHING HAS HAPPENED. Besides a subpar CANES opening up and taking some of Sierra Vista's Shack business, what does our FAV Chicken Shack do? Raise their prices. On top of that, cut down the size of their strips by nearly 1/2! Now, when you get sauce or buy extra, you get them ALSO 1/2 filled as a thank you for giving them business. DO BUSINESSES THINK CUSTOMERS ARE STUPID? Without us, your doors stay in the CLOSED POSITION. I can see that the general public likes the WALMART style food these 'Hyped' places serve and people flock to them all because of hype- But quality food companies need to know the smarter public and cater to them. We are not followers, we just know what we like.... QUALITY. This is not how you reward us... read more

If you're going to this place be ready to wait for over 20 minutes for an order of small fries. Sadly I have to give this place a one star review. I understand if businesses run slow when busy or understaffed; but this place was completely dead and back staff were a bunch of teenagers talking and laughing. Cashier didn't greet us and lacked manners when asked if the fries came with any sauces and when we asked for a refund. I definitely will not be returning. read more

Service was bad, 18 year old at the counter seems over her job, no smiles, no welcome. Just a sassy snowflake. Second, owner is a cheapskate. The franchise controlled menu says an 8 piece chicken comes with 1 sauce and 16 piece has 2 sauces. The snowflake argued with me that the sign was wrong. I tried to explain the math doesn't make sense and she just proceeded to dig her heels in. The Manager said "sorry, ya the owner only wants to give out 1 sauce per order." Seriously? How is 1 sauce sufficient for 8 wings and 16 wings? Other signs of cheapness "no water cups but you can purchase water bottles at $1.50". Haven't tried the food yet because they are still making it, but frankly it doesn't matter what it tastes like because the experience was so bad, that I will never come back. Hope the owner sees this review to adjust his business before he loses it. Update: Unfortunately fried chicken bites were dry and a little chewy. Sorry for making a fuss about the sauces, we didn't end up using them because they weren't even good. Ended up using the Buffalo sauce and chick fil a sauce we had in our pantry. Just go to chick Fil A if you want some good chicken. At least they know how to cook chicken properly and their staff and management team are always 10/10 on service. Love you Chick Fil A!! read more

The chicken shack strikes again. Placed an order for a basic chicken sandwich. Waited 30 mins while the kitchen was filling door dash orders...the cook then was more interested in whatever was on his phone for the rest of the evening. Staff was useless. I was looking forward to my chicken wings all week. Nice, crispy deliciousness. But nope. We get home and they are drowned in bbq sauce. I asked for sauce on the side. Also half of my fries were soggy with the sauce too. What a disappointment. Not sure why they can't read the tickets. Funny thing was it was all highlighted . Legit almost made me cry. They were no help at all because when we ordered online it was apparently through grub hub. Manager told me to call them because there was nothing he could do. Really?! Your restaurant messed up my order not grub hub. Ended up getting my money back but it didn't help my ruined meal. Oh and I also found what appeared to be a bristle of a brush possibly used to sauce the wings on one of them. read more

You know I used to love eating here, but seriously every visit it just gets worst. I don't go to the location in Riverpark area anymore for multiple reasons. The owner reached out to me and offered me a free meal but then never followed up and how I could get it. So I started driving out to this location in Clovis because they do the fries the regular size instead of a small little boat. But this is it for me, I'm so over this business at this point. I get the buffalo chicken fries but I change the sauces and they messed up my order this time. The inconsistency and the amount of uncaring effort there is at these locations is ridiculous and the fact that management clearly doesn't care is sad. Very disappointed. The fries just looked unappetizing this time. read more

Bomb chicken sandwiches, what else can I say . Friendly staff and it's definitely worth the price especially considering it's cheap

Ordered online and picked up for company lunch. 6 meals. Chicken was inedible. Dry and the skin was really hard. Would be surprised if it was cooked today and not just reheated. Downtown Fresno restaurant is always good. Service was okay. No one said thank you. read more

Food was decent. The prices are a bit steep but what isn't now-a-days. I typically don't tip for fast food but considering I went to the restaurant 30 min before closing I tipped. However, I immediately regretted it after asking for a water cup in which the cashier said they don't give watter cups here. Mind I spent 30+ dollars and tipped and she couldn't spare a cup of water. Also, I ordered a 5 finger chicken plate and they only provided a teensy 1 oz of sauce. I asked for more and she says "I'm gonna have to charge you for it". The cashier needs to fix her attitude. Worst customer experience I've had in a long time. The cashier definitely needs to find a new job that suits her because food service is not it. First time going there and last time as well. read more

Quick summary of Chicken Shack? Meh. I admit, I heard great things about Chicken Shack and therefore was hyped to try it. This location part of Sierra Vista Mall near the movie theater. If it helps, Dickies BBQ used to be in the same spot. The chicken fingers are huge. They're fried up and are served in a few ways. On this trip, we had a sandwich that had two of the said fingers, lettuce tomato and onion between the buns. We opted for sauce on the side but it is offered on the sandwich too. The combinations include a drink and a basket of fries. My wife selected the honey chipotle sauce. We both tried it and the chipotle part of the sauce didn't present itself, flavor wise. It was sweet and sticky like a watered down honey. So we asked for a different flavor of sauce, which wasn't free. It is an extra $1 for additional dipping sauce. For that dollar, we got smokey Sriracha sauce. This was much better in that it definitely had both smoke and Sriracha flavors well represented in this sauce. We also got the #6 chicken wing combo. Mango Habenero is my go to chicken wing sauce. Again, it was offered on the side or on the wings. I had it on the wings. The wings has a good amount of meat on them, and were visually appealing. The mango habenero flavor was so similar to the honey chipotle that I think they made a mistake. The fries are thin "shoestring" style. With the fried chicken, fried chicken wings and French fries, we were overload on greasy food. Texture wise, the foid felt great. The crunch was exactly what we expected. The sauces were too similar and the fries were not a great option for us. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. read more

Ordered wings and the loaded chicken fries, food came out rather fast. The loaded chicken fries were cold like they had been sitting out for 15 minutes. The wings were the same cold like they didn't even warm them up and just put sauce and served them up. Over priced and not good food. read more
