My first Yelp update, but it's worth the time to expand on my previous review. This place is fantastic, and a complete departure from the norm in the Stuart area. My last review focused on lunch; amazing plates of pasta, fantastic casual paninis, and so on. This time we went for dinner; a completely different experience, but equally memorable. Like one or two others, we decided to get the 5 course tasting menu ($65/person, with $35/person for the wine pairings). The courses were actually drawn from their dinner menu, with the chefs selecting the dishes they considered to be most fresh, and presented them in an order they considered most appropriate. For all but one course they gave the two of us different items, to give us a chance to try more elements of the overall menu. They change their menu weekly, so you aren't likely to get more than one shot to try something! Preceding the main courses was an amuse-bouche that played on potato skins, a crispy little bite of fingerling potato with a light sour cream and chive mixture on top. Simple but delicious. The first course for me was an Italian crudo of hamachi, with 4 different presentations. The best were those paired with cucumber and pistachio, but all were delicious. My dining partner received a perfectly seared scallop in a grapefruit broth, with little microgreens floating throughout. The second courses were the salads. Mine was a piece of buffalo mozzarella, topped with a sort of scotch egg (soft boiled, then fried in panko breadcrumbs), paired with arugula and fried pancetta. Hers had warm goat cheese, endive, candied pecans and raisins. Both were awesome. The third course was the same for both of us, with good reason. It was the one menu item I was skeptical about, but I was proven very, very wrong. Perfect homemade ravioli, filled with a semi-sweet beet and gorgonzola mixture, topped with a creamy poppy-seed sauce. Possibly the highlight of the meal. The fourth courses were the "mains". Hers was a perfectly cooked snapper (the skin was wonderfully crispy) in a classic french bouillabaisse broth, while mine was hangar steak with a beautifully reduced demi-glace, on a bed of spinach and roasted cauliflower. Both great, but I'd call the steak the winner. The desserts were very different. Mine was a no-bake cheesecake that melted in the mouth, while hers was a poached pear in a delightfully sweet sauce. Unlike the lunch offerings, which are more classically Italian, the dinner was a little more of a French-Italian hybrid, perhaps reflecting the combined background of the chefs -- learning in the French style, then studying their craft in Italy. But they pull off the more complex style with ease. Just fantastic stuff. A couple other places potentially compare (Ian's Tropical Grill, 11 Maple), but I don't think anyone else is doing quite what these guys are in terms of somelier service and chef-crafted tasting menus. Just go. Right now. You won't be disappointed. read more

I turned to The Chef's Table because I saw the reviews on Yelp and one review in particular caught me eye. The person reviewing mentioned how nice the staff at the restaurant was in helping her plan an event even though she was not local. I looked at three of the top restaurants in the area and made phone calls explaining the kind of event I was planning. None of them came even close to the service and promptness of The Chef's Table, which was my first clue of what a success my event would be. From beginning to end I was impressed. I had to plan an event from NY and Angela (The restaurant's manager) was amazing. Wonderfully accommodating and willing to help make our experience a great one. Angela's professionalism shined every step of the planning process, from customized menus that included our company's logo to incredible attention to detail. Upon arriving we were gracefully greeted by the staff. Chef Adam's NYC experience was apparent. The food was delicious, everyone at the party commented on how delectable everything was. The food at The Chef's Table is like nothing you have ever had, meticulously selected ingredients, paired to perfection to produce a meal that brings a smile to anyone's face. Set in a beautifully designed restaurant. By the end of the night we were lucky enough to meet chef Adam and express our gratitude for a phenomenal evening. read more

We used to live in Florida and became weekly regulars at The Chef's Table. We fell in love with it so much we even hosted our dress rehearsal dinner with them. The food- is absolutely amazing, from start to finish. We always get the tasting menu- and even end up adding courses. The bouillabaisse is absolutely amazing- the tomato/fish stock base is flavored so well and you can tell the flavors have just melded together to create a beautiful sauce. The fish is seared to perfection, served with mussels, clams and shrimp. Served with braised fennel, potatoes and other veggies- it is divine! Other favorite dishes include seared duck breast- which they normally serve with acorn squash or a veggie that accompanies the seasons. They try their best to locally source everything and really you can taste the flavor. There menu changes every other week and is (to me) Italian and French inspired with delicate touches that make the dishes complex, full of flavor, and keep you coming back for me. Not only is the food amazing, the service is impeccable. Pierre and Katie are absolutely amazing, along with all the staff. They make sure your table is clean, water is refilled, happy with the food, and always go over and beyond to make you happy. They listen to your wants and likes in different wines and make customized recommendations to pair well with your dishes and your palate. Go there to relax. This is an experience not just a meal. You will get lost in time here as you experience a multiple course meal, paired with fine wine over a beautiful setting. read more

I had dinner here on Wednesday night with my husband and three friends. Two of my friends are regulars and they have always said such great things about the food so we decided to check it out. The food was incredible! 3.5 Really. We probably need to give this place another try given the reviews from others, but I'm not all that motivated to go back. Maybe just an off night. Only 3 tables occupied early on a Friday night, but service remained a bit disorganized and slow. I am not a fan of prix fixe menus, but figured we are here, let's give it go. Of the three choices we had for each course, there was one hit, one meh, and one I could live without. First and second course offerings were in general a bit bland and under-seasoned for my taste. Had the great pleasure of dining her last night with two friends. We were all in need of a first rate girls night out and we were not disappointed. Highlights included the lobster salad with an ethereal avocado mousse, with just the perfect balance of richness and acidity and the succulent pork chop with the most incredible fried green tomatoes I have ever eaten. The chef, who stopped at another table but not at ours, though there were only two tables seated in the restaurant, transported a commonly mundane southern classic into haute-cuisine. The desert highlight was the white chocolate cheese cake which was more mousse than cheesecake with a chocolaty crunchy crust that demanded to be finished. The cheese plate was thoughtfully selected, perfect in portion and incredible with the balsamic dressed berry compote and the dessert wine. The wine pairing selections were spot on and even the Chardonnay, of which I am not typically a fan, was buttery and very satisfying. Disappointments, which are happily hard to fine at this gem, were not fatal. The white asparagus with prosciutto begged for a gastric and a pinch of fleur de sel to add a bit more spark to the plate. The fish of the day was listed as fresh local grouper but when the plate arrived it was salmon. Now don't get me wrong, the salmon was marvelous but it is a far cry from grouper. They should have informed us of the change in advance rather than at the time of service. Many people do not care for salmon and the unannounced "switcheroo" could have marred a perfect evening. Dennis, the server who works lunches and dinner, is efficient, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. He satisfied our every request promptly and with graciousness while making you feel like an old friend he has been looking forward to seeing. The Chef's Table is among the finest restaurants on the Treasure Coast. Maple Street beware. read more

We had the five course tasting meal with the wine pairing and it was everything I hoped for. Every course built on each other and the wine matched perfectly. The only downside to the restaurant is the space. The tables are a little too close to each other. But it does not take away from the five star food and service. Extremely disappointed in this restaurant. Made reservations for Saturday night 11/19/22. Waaay overpriced for the quality AND quantity. 1st my fault that I did not know that hard liquor wasn't available, only wines and beers. There is a charge for bread and butter which we were aware of but we should've known something was up when we received small pieces of burnt Italian bread. I don't mind paying for bread but to be burnt and given inch cut pieces was horrible. Then onto "small plates" and they aren't kidding. We ordered a Charcuterie Board...1 corner had about 4 apricots, another corner had about 6 sugared pecans in the middle were 2 pieces of salami, crumbles of 2 types of cheeses, 2 pieces of prosciutto and can't even remember the other few small items. Another friend (there were 4 of us) ordered a crab cake, it was probably the size of a small child's fist and a small half avocado. Then to the Entrees, my friend and I ordered Filet Mignon which was extremely salty. My husband ordered Carbonara which was offered in 1/2 serving or full....he ordered the full which if that was full, I can't imagine what the half looked like. We ordered mashed potatoes and green beans which were ala carte, again fine paying, but very small portion and not the best tasting mashed. We ordered 4 small cappuccinos' and split 2 desserts which were good. Bill was easily over $320 plus we gave 20% tip. Again, we are well aware of the prices of eating out lately but when you are so under-whelmed and under-satisfied you walk out scratching your head. My expectations were high (especially with a very limited menu) and I was extremely disappointed. Never returning!!! We just happened to choose The Chef's Table, out of many choices in the area, on a recent trip to Florida and couldn't believe our good fortune! The inside reminded me of Napa Valley, with its rustic, sunny décor, a bookshelf filled with wine and books and a professional meat slicer on the bar. Although we were there for lunch, the waiter allowed us to order off the dinner menu. I had softshell crab and gnocchi (the lightest I have ever tasted), my husband had the locally caught fish of the day, Golden Tile. My family came here & saw the building was dark & was only serving our small party for dinner, we were skeptical... However, food was amazing, local grown, chef quality with detailed explanation by staff & gorgeous plating! I was expecting Gordon Ramsey to walk in any minute. Not worth the money. I don't remember much about the food besides it tasted pretty good, but my French Pastry Chef girlfriend returned TWO different desserts because they were dried out, inedible and used powdered ingredients instead of fresh. My maple ice cream was just gelatinous scoops with little flavor and a poor balance of ingredients. read more

Because of the other reviews we decided to give this place a try. The reception when we arrived was not the greatest even though we had reservations. The tables were close together and we felt crowded. We ask if we could order appetizers while we were deciding on the rest of the meal and the waitress informed us that the chef would only accept a complete order. It was a very small menu and I did not find anything that was particularly appetizing. I had the red snapper which was well prepared. We will not return as we never really felt welcome. read more

Five stars is under-rating this place. Me and my date got the five course chefs choice with the wine pairing and the entire experience has been INCREDIBLE! The two of us received different items for each course (and different wines to match). We shared the entire time, so in effect we had 10 different consecutive flavor parties. Fantastic! I'm a South Floridian just visiting Stuart for the weekend, and based on Yelp reviews, I decided to try The Chef's Table as a solo diner. I was not disappointed. This is Florida-style fine dining. Lovely decor and ambiance, but not too formal. Excellent service, but not overbearing. My delightful server was helpful with suggestions. I had beautiful scallops to start. I had short rib with polenta and brussels sprouts for the entree. No surprises, a traditional preparation, but nicely done and a generous portion. Perfect panna cotta for dessert with a buttery pine nut crumble on top as a nice surprise. Definitely recommend! read more

We live about 30-40 min south and after finding this gem (and having lunch earlier this week which brought us back for dinner!) this will be often visited! Everything was spectacular. The salads are phenomenal, the black bean soup for lunch was fantastic and the house made pastas are incredible. My husband loves a good risotto and said the mushroom risotto was to die for. Our company had the privilege of hosting a corporate event at The Chef's Table on July 26th, 2016. The Private Dining Director, Angela, was professional and flexible to work with, and tailored the event to our group's specific needs. We reserved the entire restaurant on a night they were normally closed, and Angela arranged for a truly exclusive experience for our guests. She even hired valet for our guests, and included it in the cost of the event! The entire staff was attentive to our needs, and made sure that the event was a success for our clients. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and our clients' feedback echoed this sentiment. We look forward to many more events at The Chef's Table. read more

We live in Port St Lucie and love trying new places. My son is a chef and picked this restaurant a few months ago as a "must try". My best friend is in town from VA and it was the perfect time to try a nice, new spot. The menu is set up as a la carte, three course tasting, or five course chef's tasting menu. Typically when there's a chef's tasting menu...you know what you're getting...not here. It's whatever the chef wants to send...we wanted a bigger experience, but without knowing what we were going to get, we opted for a la carte. The wine list was good, but not as cohesive as I'd like. I was the only person at the table with wine knowledge and experience, so needed to choose something big but not too complex. The first wine was expensive...but very good. The follow up blend that I chose (not too many options) was mediocre and I ended up getting another bottle of the first since my options were limited. The Amuse Bouche was a dime sized crab cake that was overcooked but had good potential. We ordered the Papparadelle which was amazing, we ordered the crab cake (full size) which she said was awesome, a salad, the duck was amazing also...really good flavors. The quail was good...very small portion, but good. The steak raviolis were ok, WAY too much truffle oil. I would have preferred a small amount of shaved truffle instead of the oil. The crudo was also very good. The atmosphere was nice...very quiet. The waitress we had was pleasant, but all business, no personality and got our dishes mixed up when serving them. When you pay this much for a meal...there are certain things you expect. We don't eat like this all the time, but we have significant fine dining experience and I don't mind paying the money if it's worth it. This isn't worth what I spent. The wine was good, but overpriced, the meal was good, but not spectacular. Unless they revamp some things....I'll not go back. read more

The Chef's Table is one of my favorite restaurants in Stuart and a wonderful dinning experience. From the small plates to the desserts, all of the food is fantastic. Decor: Limited seating makes it cozy and relaxing. Lighting was dim and music low. Candles on tables. Very relaxing and lovely. Attire: Dress is smart/business casual. Service: Very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about what they serve. Food: We ordered two appetizers which were very flavorful and perfectly prepared. Two entrees were also full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The pasta with braised pork was a filling portion. The lamb, while cooked nicely, was a small portion. Wine: We paid a $25 corkage fee and brought our own wine. Their wine selection was nice, we just preferred our own wine. Price: The portions, overall, are small. This is not a bad thing as we prefer to enjoy our meal at the restaurant and do not like to over eat and feel uncomfortably full. If you are the kind of person that likes leftovers, this is not the place for you. They are very expensive but it is very different than any other restaurant around and the quality of the food is superior over other restaurants. Bringing our own wine, two appetizers and two entrees (no dessert) cost us $150. read more
