There was a wait when we got here. They said our weight would be about 30 minutes. It took about 35-40 minutes before we got in. The choice of food was pretty good. Loved the cod! Loved the salad with mushrooms! The plates were way too small. It was pretty crowded, but we found a place where we could have some space.
The entrance is across from B22. The check in entrance is shared with the Escape Lounge so make sure you follow the right line. The space is segmented into various rooms, but you'll be able to find space to sit since there are many tables and chairs. The food selections for dinner was: - Chicken Teriyaki - Mac n Cheese - Parmesan Brocolli - Fried Rice - Churros - Kettle Chips - Salad Bar The drinks have the same menu as other Centurion Lounges. I got the Sky High cocktail which was boozy yayy. The restroom leaves something to be desired. Only one private stall and two urinals for the guys. The floor was super sticky.
What a great lounge with a fantastic and efficient check in system ( busy at 9 am on a Thursday), wonderful and fun staff especially Patricia, nice breakfast options( photo), loads of coffee machines, a cool bar, easy & no fuss in and out with no crowds and a nice vibe. The Amex Centurion Lounge is located on the 2nd floor across from gate B22 in Terminal 4( American Airlines). For the NY flights coming into the A gates it's about a 11 minute walk and absolutely worth it. I was 7th in line with 3 counters open and once Patricia got my card info, boarding pass she put me on a short 5-15 minute waitlist with a dedicated counter to return to, I was texted and in like Flynn in 180 seconds. Loved it! The food buffet bar is well stocked with alert staff refilling and cleaning. The chairs are comfy and ample and right next to the food that makes it easy. The restrooms are clean . Philip originally from Flatbush in Brooklyn was a hoot. A lovely guy with a great sense of humor and a very cool blue tie and black suit. The bartender Stacey was a blast and a ball of energy. Great mixed drinks. This is a chill Amex lounge where even a 20 minute travel respite is rejuvenating and invigorating. The blueberry muffins and the buckwheat pancakes were amazing.
Walking in was a bit intimidating, there are about 3 rows to go into each with specific signs of what you need to do. Once that's figured out, check-in process was easy, the wait was about 15+ minutes to get in. Everyone in the Centurion Lounge was helpful, friendly and truly seemed happy making it a great experience for their guests. Lounge was kept up very well and the food options were nice. I really enjoy my French Martini and small lunch plate, thank you!
This is probably my favorite Amex lounge I have been to so far. The food is amazing compared to others. Sometimes they have pulled pork which is my favorite and sometimes they even have Rice Krispies from a local phx bakery that you can take on the go. I seriously always look forward to going to this lounge and seeing what food is available. Service is great they come clean your table right away and the lounge is pretty clean in general. The bar is great too! I would recommend checking in while going through security in case it is busy so your wait is decreased.
This lounge in AZ, is quite nice to stop in and grab a quick bite before your flight in/out. Very spacious and service is impeccable. Food selection was tasty and as always the view outside is my favorite. There was a long line to get in but you are put on a short waitlist. once they text you to come in - I would recommend you don't wait too long to respond and hurry in as others are waiting too. Highly recommend.
TIL: Centurion Lounges use the same wifi password. I was at the Centurion Lounge in Denver airport in the last week, and the wifi password was the same one here too. Location: terminal 4, behind gate B21 This is a much smaller lounger compared to the one in Denver. I arrived around 7 PM, and they closed at 9 PM. They started announcing the closing time at 8 PM. Hot food is good. Coffee, tea, and water are self served. They had a bar and a nice window looking out at the tarmac. Request fountain drinks from the bar. The dessert was good! I like the lemon bars! Overall this is a nice place to relax prior to boarding the next flight at Phoenix airport. -Access: need American Express -Bathroom available -Free wifi -No outdoor seating
No wait today which was really nice. The front desk staff were super chipper which is also nice when you're traveling. They had an avocado toast station today- as well as overnight oats, fruits and egg scramble/sausage/potato standards. Bartender was friendly and chatting with the customers as well. It was quieter in here today The place was a lot cleaner than last time too- no more stained cushions yay! Just a note- unless you've spent the minimum on thr platinum , guests will be $50, but you can use the escape lounge right next door (same food just different seating) and bring 2 guests.
Great lounge, the staff really makes it. Slightly disappointed they don't allow Venmo tips at this location, I frequently don't have cash on me, especially at the end of the trip so having the option is super helpful! Food selection was great. I will definitely be back!
Travel can be tedious and tiring. Many times waking up early if traveling from the West Coast to the East just to arrive at a decent hour. With layovers, travel becomes even more tiring. The Centurion Lounge makes travel, even with layovers, more enjoyable. This location can be found in the B terminal across from gate 22. Once you see signs, enter the glassdoors/ check in area. Once checked in, you'll proceed upstairs to the actual lounge. Seating is available for individual travelers, families or small groups. Relaxing lounge chairs or workstations can be found throughout. Food is self-service as are most non-alcoholic beverages. Some sodas, mixed drinks, wine and beer can be obtained from the bartenders. Food has never disappointed. It's a nice snack that very much suffices for a meal. There are also friendly assistants who regularly check in on you and clear used items and refresh the food buffet. Always take advantage of the Centurion Lounge when/ where available to make travel days more enjoyable. Keep on Yelp'n!
The lady working at the front check-in desk of the Centurion Lounge is the rudest person I have ever encountered. She is upfront so mean and has no sense of customer service. I genuinely do not understand how someone with this attitude was placed in such an important guest-facing position. No wonder this place has so many complaints about her and I wonder why she is still working. First of all, she never greeted us. Raised her eyebrows as if she judges every guests walking out of elevator, She skipped us waiting in line and rushed through the next guest as though helping us was an inconvenience. Instead of being helpful and pleasant, she is blaming on guests to be informed better. Being an Amex Platinum member, we have been to many lounges and by far this has been my worst experience. She was unpleasant, unprofessional, and so disrespectful that American Express risks losing valuable customers over this kind of treatment. The management needs to fire her right away.
For the level that this lounge is supposed to represent I was extremely disappointed. First of all, let me say that I went before 12 noon in the lounge and they had already run out of cream for the coffee, brown sugar for the coffee, any flavored syrup everything they had to do with coffee. Me being a coffee person. I was extremely disappointed because I didn't want any food. I just wanted to relax and have coffee before The Flight when I asked they said they had run out already, which was disturbing to me because it wasn't even noon yet. So they need to do a better job with their inventory ordering or something because for you to be out of that many items for coffee enjoyment is terrible for the level that this lounge is supposed to represent. - Service 1/5 Location 5/5 Wait Time 3/5 Food 3/5 Atmosphere 3/5 Return Factor 1/5

I came in with high expectations. There was another lounge right next door, and the staff mentioned the main difference was the food. Plus, that lounge allowed two guests for free, while the Centurion Lounge requires guest fees -- so naturally, I assumed this one would be the superior option. Unfortunately, it was far from what I expected. The experience was shockingly underwhelming. If you just need a place to sit for a short time, it's fine. But if you're bringing guests and paying extra for them, I honestly wouldn't recommend it. You're better off exploring the airport and choosing a restaurant you actually enjoy -- that would be a much better value and overall experience. Pretty disappointed. read more
Very good food; some dishes were outstanding such as the cannoli hummus which was some of the best I have ever had. The lounge itself was nice , on par with Denver Centurion and nicer than La Guardia's , but the food and service are both standouts at Phx Centurion read more

I love the selection, plus the alcohol and wine that comes with it. The customer service is nice and warm... Only downside is there is very small lounge seating available. read more
The highlight of our breakfast at the Centurion was the crack-like Belgium waffles. Eggs are lukewarm, sausage is fast-food like but those waffles woaaa. The coffee machine is nicer than most, real milk vs powder, americano was decent. Mimosa in the AM was the perfect start to the day. read more

Was in Phoenix for a business meeting, flew in the same day from Denver, then flying back home to New York that same afternoon. I wasn't encouraged by the reviews and initially unsure if I was making an effort to walk from Gate A12 to B22 where the lounge was in front of. Happy to report that I did enjoy my 40 mins or so and while on the smaller side and packed on a Friday afternoon, I did find the food selection and variety pretty good and yummy. The Korean-glazed chicken was delicious, the beef brisket was tender, cornbread paired well and there was also mac & cheese, lacked a bit of seasoning though. The bar was packed but I was able to get a glass of prosecco and managed to enjoy half of a white chocolate macadamia cookie, could be better though, but maybe coz we bake pretty good so my standards are pretty high. Overall, I'd say one of the better lounges when it comes to food. Ladies room was also clean and well kept and they do have L'Occitane hand products. If you're boarding at the A gates, allow yourself 30 mins for a leisure pace walk. Would happily come back! read more

This is a smaller Centurion Lounge than the ones in Dallas and Atlanta. The line to get in is often five to ten minutes. The greeting host was super friendly and welcomed us with a very warm welcome. The space was super packed which I completely understand as we were there around lunch. The food was unfortunately below average. The meat was overcooked and tough. The rice was sticky. The salad was way too basic. The hummus was frankly unappealing and was lacking the right consistency. So, overall there is plenty of rooms for improvements. Just my humble opinion. read more

Nice Anerican Epress Lounge at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Good selection of food and drinks , including a full bar. The Lounge has a bathroom and lots of seating with great visibility of the tarmac. Austin at check-in was very friendly and welcoming. Bartender and Lounge staff helpful. read more

Not that much food selection and super crowded. Did every get a platinum card recently?! It's not elite anymore. People sleeping on sofas tons of kids super loud. Staff was cleaning up a lot but just too over crowded read more
One of the smaller centurion lounge. Located across gate B22 T4 it was busy so had to wait about 15 mins but worth the wait. My flight was at 540pm so I got in around 415 just in time to grab some dinner. Today buffet selection was good, their protein selection was chicken (forgot what cooking style) and barbacoa (spicy), the chicken was moist and tender, it was delicious! Had my usual drink mimosas. Food and drinks are free and unlimited. Staff and server are very polite and the food is always filled. Great airport lounge experience. read more
When the Delta Sky Club is full at PHX Sky Harbor, take your AmEx card (restrictions apply) over to gain entrance at the Centurion Lounge (at the top of the E/F gate escalators past security) and enjoy complimentary drinks and a menu full of snack size items. It's clean, there are lots of outlets for electronics, and the staff check in often. Further, they are warm and welcoming. I've been here for several hours now taking calls after a flight delay rescheduled my afternoon, and servers have been patient enough to discretely communicate via notes on napkins. 10/10 ! Be sure to tip these lovely folks. They're working hard. read more

I am very disappointed in the Centurion Club. We spend almost a thousand dollars a year for the Amex Card to access the lounge and the quality of the lounge is a disgrace. The staff were friendly enough but the place was completely packed. The lounge is tiny compared to the other lounges at the airport and they had a whole section cordoned off for Centurion Club Card Holders and not one person sitting there. The chairs and floor were filthy. No one was picking up empty plates and glasses. The food looked miserable and several of the wires were hanging down so you could see that there was no leadership or if there was leadership, there was no budget to fix things. We left and went to the Admiral Club and even though the admiral club is pretty average, you at least know what to expect. Amex... you can do better then this! read more

Terrance, the bartender at Centurion noticed I wasn't drinking, and offered me "the most beautiful mocktail" ... And boy did he deliver! This tonic and butterfly pea tea mocktail is playful, stunning and refreshing and even has collagen benefits. This guy is a wizard behind the bar and really knows his stuff. Thanks Terrance and Jeffrey for making me feel welcome and included at the bar with this mocktail -- even though I am (56 days) clean! I really felt like I could still be part of the party, so thank you sincerely. read more

Very average lounge compared to all other locations. This lounge has subpar seating but good food. Expect to be denied entry or put on hour long waitlists if you come late. Seating is hard to get here. IF you are lucky and get in, you can experience good food with very tight quarters with everyone else sitting here. There is a section of the lounge roped off to Centurion Black cardholders. Food and drinks are plentiful and delicious. It's also a pain getting here from the A gates as this is on the exact opposite side of the airport. read more

Not all Centurions are made the same and this is one of the better ones. Nice open rooms with views of the tarmac, great lighting and comfy couches with charging stations, and the food is definitely on the better end. Our home airport centurion always has a wait-list to get in but this one is pretty large and can accommodate more guests so we had no issues getting in. As any good lush we b lined it to the bar and indulged in some well made amaretto sours with freshly made sweet and sour. Food is so hit or miss at centurions especially with my gluten allergy. Our centurion in SeaTac says they don't cater or care about allergies and the centurion in Denver makes gf waffles on demand. Here in Phoenix is a good middle. They had lots of choices for dinner, multiple salads, two protein choices and sides all with their allergens labeled. I had some great egg salad and a corn salsa with chips for a first pass and went back for seconds with the basmati rice and chipotle chicken thighs. Overall the food was decent and a solid airport lounge meal. We enjoyed the bartender and super friendly ninjas snatching away every dish and glass on our table. read more

Amex's Centurion Lounge is the road less traveled in my opinion. They're smaller, less crowded and more importantly, less hoarding from starving travelers. Amex has done a wonderful job for their Platinum Holders by creating such a first class experience. A get-away of sorts in a large gateway airport. I only wish it was closer to the Gates, but C'est la vie. read more

This lounge seems like one of the smallest for centurion's and the food is highly mediocre. Very minimal options. The staff is friendly and helpful though, the bartender made me a sugar cookie martini during Christmas week, and it was amazing. read more
