The Admirals Club near Gate B4 at Sky Harbor was a decent place to relax before a flight, especially if you're looking to escape the busy airport concourse. The lounge is essentially one large room with chairs arranged fairly close together. There are a few long high-top tables and a counter running along the windows, but there aren't really any private areas aside from a small business center with just a handful of seats. If you're looking for a quiet corner or separate lounge spaces, this location is somewhat limited. The food selection was surprisingly good. Even after 10 PM, staff were actively refilling the hot food station, which was appreciated. There was also a deli area stocked with charcuterie meats, cheeses, hummus, and other snacks, plus a coffee station, a small snack bar with trail mix, pretzels, and jelly beans, and a dessert station featuring cookies, brownies, and cupcakes. The bar was fully stocked as well. The bathrooms were on the smaller side but clean and well maintained. One downside is that not every seat has access to power outlets, although the high-top counter along the windows offers several charging options. What really stood out was the staff. Everyone we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. We were also traveling with our pets and had no issues checking into the lounge. Since many airport lounges have become less pet-friendly, it was nice to have a comfortable place to relax with them before our flight. Overall, it's not the most spacious or private Admirals Club, but the friendly staff, solid food offerings, and pet-friendly policy made for an enjoyable visit. read more

I give this 3 stars because of the generic atmosphere and for a lounge it's very uncomfortable and cramped. I have been in many of the American lounges and this one as far as comfort and peaceful surroundings falls short. There is no where to stretch out and relax. The bar is super tiny, maybe 5 seats which is ok with me but if there are many in your party and you want to sit together there is not anywhere where you can congregate and have a conversation without everyone of the 60 people in the place hearing you. Is it worth the price? $79.99 I think? Depends on how long you have to be in the airport I guess. At least you can sit down and it is fairly quiet. As a frequent flyer on American Airlines, I often find myself visiting Admirals Clubs before my flights at airports with an Admirals Club or a partner lounge. While the clubs used to be spacious with decent food and drink offerings and excellent service, the clubs have become much busier with fewer seats available and average food and drink options. It seems that everyone has access to an Admirals Club nowadays and brings their entire families. This particular lounge is a larger location near gate A7, which is much larger than most of the other Phoenix airline lounge locations, but it also is almost always completely full from the comfortable seating to the bar seating and table seating to the chairs near the window with a view of the runway. The reason I gave it 4 stars (instead of 3 stars) is that I've begun to see the efforts made to improve the Admirals Club membership which includes complimentary hot food throughout the day from soups, Mac and Cheese, sandwiches, meatballs, and breakfast items (not all at once though). There are charcuterie offerings, dessert trays, a salad bar, hot and cold non-alcoholic drinks, snacks, and then house drinks. You can pay more for premium drinks and prepared meals. Access to the lounge is easy to get whether through the Citi Executive World Mastercard with free access for you and up to two guests. You can also pay $175 for up to three authorized users each receiving their own lounge access (with up to two guests). Also, One World alliance flyers with a certain status can access Admirals Clubs. There are also Flagship Lounge and Flagship First Dining locations, which offer much more than just Admirals Clubs. I'm confident that making it easy to get Admirals Club memberships has led to lounges being overcrowded though now that you have to pay for authorized users instead of getting them for free in recent years, that may help. You can also redeem AAdvantage miles for membership or access to the Admirals Club. read more

When traveling, lounges are never a bad idea! While flying AA from AZ to ATL recently, I popped into the Admiral's Club to burn about 3 hours until my flight. Upon entry, the club was bright, clean and welcoming, always a nice vibe when you've been lugging your bags around. There was ample seating but comfy chairs seemed to be limited, leaving many to choose the bar-like/round table seating on the other side of the club. I opted for a comfy lounge chat that was connected to a side table offering power. Win! I'm happy that I snagged this seat because as the hours went on, more folks came in and it got very busy. The food offerings were limited but delicious nevertheless! The Lentil Soup was a surprise favorite and I had a few bowls honestly, absolutely no shame and would love the recipe. They also offered complimentary veggies, bar options and sweets that were far better than expected. I also ordered a few non-complimentary items at they were all perfect for getting me relaxed before flying. They also offered guacamole made on-site to your liking , such a nice thing touch. Located on concourse A near gate 6 this AA club is sort of a mini club. They have one of everything. It can also get quite crowded in here. At 8:00 am on a tuesday it was about 80% full. Breakfast service was the typical fare. Bagels, eggs, bacon, fruit and coffee. The avocado toast bar was open. Can't wait for AA's planned upgrades. At the moment the clubs are overrun with passengers and food is mediocre. Looking forward to change. Either way it beats the concourse. read more

There are 3 Admirals Clubs at PHX, and I never know which is which on Yelp, so I usually check into this one. The smallest is one is between A19-A21. The one by B6 is upstairs and larger and same with the one above A7-A9. The hours vary between the clubs, and I typically go to AA's website for the most current hours. Flying a lot, I found they change frequently. The food is pretty standard between them. The B6 club had avocado toast when I went through in the morning. The staff is nice. They generally aren't as crowded as the Centurion Lounge which makes them much more pleasant. There are also a lot of seats with plugs nearby. I do like to refill my water bottle here once I get through security. read more

I have to agree with the other postings on how great and friendly the staff is at this club. However, the club has some serious deficiencies in terms of maintenance and the quality of the food and refreshments served. The food included a white chili as the main dish with vegetables as the side dish. The club was packed when I got there so it was hard to find a seat. I do have to commend them on their on-site guacamole chef. she made fresh guacamole with your choice of condiments. That was actually cool. If you have to pay for a day pass my recommendation would be not to. Pick any of the restaurants in the airport and get a better meal and beverage while you wait for your flight. If your access to the club is free via your credit card or a partner airline, go for it and get your free stuff. Otherwise, don't pay out of pocket. read more

If you are seeking a seat here, good luck. This is a tiny closet of a club. An Admiral on a Navy Ship in the 1680s had more space. There were members who walked in, then walked out because there wasn't any seating. How do I know? Because I and three others, were sitting in the front entry area, where people walk in. if you are breathing and are fine paying a day pass of $50/59, you can enter. This begs the question why, was I such a moron for paying 680 for this privilege? And why are you, if you bought the Admirals club yearly membership, the same? It's like all of us, went to Las Vegas and they said drop 680 into this toilet, and click flush. I definitely won't renew, because this seems to be a pattern at any airport, that isn't LAX, DFW, and I surmise many other large areas, even though PHX is the fifth largest metro area in the states. Couple of tips..walk all the way to the back of this lounge and you will find a taco area, which makes breakfast, in the morning. Here you can get eggs that are not pre-made with milk in them. The front area which is always packed? Dairy in those eggs..yep, already made. If you ask to have an omelette or eggs made of egg whites, it's not happening. Funny. At other lounges I've been too, United, Delta, Singapore, British Airways, Lufthansa, this isn't a problem, after all, you are the customer. Sodas are easy to get, because they have one of those pick whatever combo, but there are people who can't figure it out. If I could give this a zero, along with the universal sign of a finger, I would. The only plus, which earns this one star? The staff are nice and friendly, oh, I should note, that the bathroom at least for men, consists of two urinals, and two toilets. Awesome. read more

This is the Admirals Club I visit most often since it's my home airport. It's always OK. Usually pretty busy, sometimes to the point where you really have to scope out a spot to sit. Service is usually good. I wouldn't say the bathrooms are always kept spotless or that plates and cups are whisked away immediately, but it's clean enough. Food offerings are pretty consistent throughout all the clubs. I did have to take a picture on my last visit though because someone had the absolute audacity to try and pass of quartered english muffin halves as pita. I mean, really?! No one wants to eat a raw english muffin. Also, we're in the 5th largest city in America. It's easy to grab some actual pita very close to Sky Harbor. They would have been better off just serving tortilla chips instead. read more

Talk about a reality check for us. After being spoiled with the behemoth Admirals Club lounges at JFK and DFW, the PHX location was almost comical at not even a quarter of their sizes. But, while miniscule in floorspace, it got the job done, somewhat. According to one of the PHX information officers, there are Admirals Club lounges in each of the airport's wings. I'm assuming they're all tiny as PHX isn't an immense facility. THE LOUNGE: It was conveniently located right next to our gate so we made good use of our time inside. Check in was quick as no one was in line. The compact room featured luggage storage, a small bar and limited seating either on lounge chairs or stools alongside the windows that overlooked the runway. Outlets were prevalent throughout and the free WiFi was strong. A small snack bar provided complimentary coffee drinks, juices, cereal, soups and light fare. The men's restroom was tight and sported just a single urinal and toilet. What started out as a fairly relaxing space became louder and crowded as the day progressed which in turn made seating a premium. TIP: Like other AC lounges, they don't make flight announcements so be mindful of the time. OVERALL: An expansion is definitely needed to accommodate this growing city and airport. read more

I frequent this club, as I fly to Phoenix a good amount (both for work as well as for connections). The club is staffed with great people, always friendly and cheerful. The bartenders are awesome, and super attentive. This particular club almost always has great complimentary food options (i.e. today there is a complimentary "Make Your Own Grain Bowl), in addition to standard Admirals Club options (soups, brownies, cookies, etc.) and food for purchase. One piece of constructive feedback for the group is that more seating would be phenomenal! It looks like there is space available to expand, and I would highly recommend doing so with this being the cub that is open the longest in the airport. All in all, great club! read more

There are a few Admirals Clubs at PHX; this is a very tiny one near gate A18. The front desk staff were friendly upon entering. Annual membership rates vary depending on your elite level (if any) and can range from around $350-$550 annually. Inside you'll find a very small space with seating and a small buffet area. At the buffet you'll find a couple of hot soups and a small variety of cold items like chunks of cheese, hummus, and other little nibbles. They also have tubes dispensing crunchy snacks. For dessert, try the chocolate brownie squares (very good) or maybe a chocolate chip cookie (on the dry side). All drinks come from the bar in this club. They don't have a soft drink dispenser or freestyle machine like some other clubs. Beer, wine, and soft drinks are complimentary. The bathroom was clean but similarly tiny. The WiFi was pretty fast and connected easily. Overall a small but welcome respite from the bustling concourse, and a good stop off for a drink and a snack. read more

This review is in regards to the Club near gate A7: this one is large, lots of seat choices, outlets and food! They have the chef with the custom avocado toast as well! But the thing I was most impressed with is for new Moms- while I'm not a new Mom anymore this place does a phenomenal job for new traveling Moms. The restrooms have the baby changing tables in the stalls, stainless steel- aka they are easily disinfected!! And they offer free disposable changing pads and diaper bags for throwing out dirty diapers. How nice is that for our traveling Moms out there? The Admirals Club Terminal A Gates 1-24 maybe small but it does the trick. I sent out the 70 emails I wrote on the flight. Sat in a quiet place and relaxed between flights, and enjoyed a great snack. I was pleasantly surprised when I figured out the "Italian Meatball Soup" was actually "Italian Wedding Soup" which is hard to find and apparently hard to master. The batch I had in this airline club room was a 10 on a scale of 10. The staff was excellent. In and out in 15 minutes. read more

The snack bar sometimes gets a little repetitive, but pretty good most of the time, and kept at a good temperature. The last time I was in it was something new, so that was exciting! Trying to go to the restroom and all you can hear is the one other woman right next to you... a little music at least would have been nice. Embarrassing to say the least. This review is for the Admirals Club near Gate A7. There are three total Admirals Clubs in PHX: , listed in order of my preference: one near Gate B4, one near Gate A7, and one near Gate A19. The Admirals Club near A7 is not tiny, but also by no means large. This club is recently renovated with new, modern furnishings and lots of plugs and outlets to go around. They have maximized their space by providing a space for members to sit in nearly every square inch. The space has a fresh, energizing, airy feeling. I really like the diversity in seating: for those looking to work, there are about 20 low-bar seats facing the window with plugs in front of them; a long high-top near the bar; a conference room available; and (my choice) the nearly-unnoticeable business center with only 4 open workspaces. For relaxing: there are many lounging chairs, with 3 pods of chairs arranged in a U-Shape, as well as about 10 of the the "privacy" loungers if you're traveling by yourself. They also offer 2-3 small tables if you plan to actually sit and eat your food, or if you're looking for an alternative to some of the workspaces. Unfortunately, with all of the seating options in such a small space, it can feel rather crammed as you're walking around, and I've seen a lot of people opt to stand if they can't find 2-3 seats together for their party, adding to that cramped feeling. Food is the same as in any other Admirals Club. It's nothing exciting. What I did like about this Admirals Club is the new coffee machine (touch screen!), a Freestyle Coke machine - no need to go to the bartender for a Sprite, and I enjoyed seeing a craft beer on tap, even if it costs extra to sip on "real" beer. But even the food area feels a little crammed together. Just not a lot of space to go around. Overall, I like this club as long as it's not too busy - which of course you can't predict. Luckily, there are some other clubs in the airport you can escape to if you're really not enjoying your time here. read more

There are three Admirals Clubs at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport but this one is the biggest and best! It is located between gates A6 and A8. I am a frequent traveler and am always delighted when my gate is in this concourse so I can come to this club. I have never had any trouble finding a seat at this location unlike the other two. This location is also more self service oriented. There is a coffee machine and a Coca-Cola Freestyle machine so you don't have to go up to the bar just to get a soda. There are plenty of snacks available all day. For breakfast there is a made to order avocado toast station and usually in the afternoon there is a made to order guacamole station. There are also a variety of breakfast items and snack items for lunch and dinner. If you are an Admirals Club member, be sure to check out this club. You won't be disappointed! Enjoy! read more
