Admirals club American Airlines
Sarah S.

The Admirals lounge at gate A20 is the smaller lounge in this terminal. It's still away from the general crowds of the airport with better bathrooms, a bar and food. The bar doesn't open until 6am sharp lol, and don't expect anything a second before.

You just can't beat the food, service, and atmosphere or the AA admirals clubs. What better way to wait for your flight than to relax or work in the club and chow down on the delicious food offerings?! This time we had a mid morning flight so we were offered delicacies such as shrimp tempura and fried rice, hummus with veggies, cheese and meat selections, fruits, and of course the wonderful jars of snack mixes and jelly beans! Along with food they have drinks including fancy coffees, alcohol and sodas etc. The staff are welcoming and friendly and also do their job well to make sure it's an exclusive club which really makes being an AA member worth it in more ways than just flying.

Food: 3* Service: 4* Ambiance: 3* Located near gate A20, this is one of the smaller, albeit on a single floor admirals club. Great place to relax and ease into your vacation or rest between flights. They offer a variety of food to nibble on and leaded and unleaded drinks.

Tiny club not much to say it wasnt like any of the other ones. Service was good but the location was small and crowded.

In order of preference, a category at a time: Chicken thighs - shrimp & grits - Chkn Adovado taco (airstream both) Of the buffet veggies & sides: Farro salad -Squash, ratatouille - carrots -cold harrisa yogurt -kale/ beans - Chkn Caesar wedge salad -hummus. Desserts at buffet: meh. Except for for the dark chocolate chip cookie, which was excellent; Matcha chocolate bites (brownies) also excellent. Peroni was crispy as can be; bartenders friendly in spite of the nonstop action. "Ready for takeoff" was nice & spicy; "Jet-stream Berry" was solid also. Well-staffed and our plates were cleared away fastidiously. Loved the booth past the fireplace- a calm oasis. Food didn't quite move me, but loved the experience. 3.5, round up for good service.

I talked to a lovely gentleman who told me to come back at 4pm - I was likely accommodated bc I was a solo party, but I appreciated him nonetheless! Other people tried to walk in and were quoted anywhere from a 30 min to 1 hour wait. They actually seat you at a table or counter, so it's not a free-for-all seating. I was sat near the bar at a long counter facing the wall (not ideal, but fine). I had easy accessibility to power. Food was delicious and the drinks were pretty good. There was a separate area for tacos, nachos and elote; but unfortunately they were out of a few ingredients at the time I visited. I mostly frequented the bar and the buffet area. Overall, definitely worth a stop in if you have access!

While it may not be the largest Amex lounge, it more than makes up for it with quality, accessibility, and consistently excellent service. The recent improvements to the food offerings are especially impressive--there's a noticeable emphasis on fresh, flavorful vegetable options that feel thoughtful and well-prepared, rather than like an afterthought. And the desserts? Absolutely delicious and a perfect way to end a meal before heading to the gate. The bar experience truly elevates the visit. Bartenders Mahdi, Sara, and Courtney are standouts--warm, attentive, and genuinely skilled at what they do. They, along with the rest of the wonderful staff, create a welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to linger just a little longer. Thanks to the Sky Harbor layout, this lounge is surprisingly accessible, making it easy to build in a visit even when time is tight. We intentionally plan extra time before our flights just to stop by, relax, enjoy a great meal, and start our trip on a high note. This lounge consistently delivers a calm, high-quality experience and remains a place we look forward to visiting every time we fly through Phoenix.

Be forewarned, this is my not my favorite Admirals Club by any stretch. Depending on my mood, it…read moremight end up being one of my least favorite locations in the country. It's a tight squeeze and often crowded, to the point where (airport) lounging is nearly an oxymoron. For folks who are know the mediocre Admirals Club experience in other areas will know what to expect with food and service. Maintenance is always variable, depending on how robust the staff is, which is often a problem here. Dishes are not picked up quickly, buffet stations are sometimes a mess, bathroom floors might feel sticky, and service is lacking overall. The food is nothing remarkable, but then again neither is any Admirals Club location that I've tried. It really depends on the day, but even during the guacamole service (which also doubles as an avocado toast bar), it is still lackluster. Bagels are dry If there's any place to hang out, it might be the bar. Assuming one can snag a seat, whomever the bartender is that day is typically the key to a quality experience. The WiFi is decent and paired with a nice drink, can be a solid way to enjoy a layover and be the start of pre-flight shenanigans. In addition to it being crowded, it can also be noisy. Given how busy PHX already is, the claustrophobic vibe is most definitely real. Anyone traveling in groups should reconsider coming here, but solo travelers who can tolerate the chaos might do well with some noise cancelling phones and with a little luck, a chair and a table to enjoy and pass the time.

My personal travels have increased, so I decided to expand on my benefits to get comfortable while…read moreat the airport. This was the first time that I've actually been in the Admiral's Club here before flying internationally (usually I'm at another club in the airport). The food selection didn't blow me away, but it was decent. Easy access to fountain drinks, tea, water, and snacks such as gummy bears & pretzels. I decided to sit up at the bar where I had a good conversation with the bartender, and I actually had a few prickly pear margaritas, which were included. Not everything is included, as some of the items are premium shelf items. For those that do know, it's not a big deal, but some look and think it's all complimentary. Between the chair seating comfort & availability, the frequently updated flight status board (visible to most seating) comfort was all good, and it was centrally located to where my gate was, so coming out of the lounge, popping up my gate was great.

But once inside, it's a comfortable layout where folks can spread out a bit away from each other. The lounge is quiet (at 5-6am) and the seating is comfortable. The breakfast food offerings were, to me spectacular. You're not at a Vegas buffet, but the selection is ample. A few choice items: the little potatoes! My gosh, I don't know how they seasoned them but they are delicious yet unassuming- you'll be pleasantly surprised. And the scrambled eggs with chives is a nice touch. The sausage links are high quality and the salami and sliced cheese- I promise- tastes like the salami in Italy. Good quality food. SHOUT OUT to the great employee who cleaned up someone's spill on the floor! Attentive staff at this location. I've given only 4 stars because the UAL Club in Denver cannot be beat as one of the largest in the world. Go see it too! Also only 4 stars because I'm not a fan of Unisex restrooms. Gross.

We are a big United fan and supporter, largely because Denver is a hub. This United lounge in T3 of Sky Harbor was underwhelming. Service and staff is wonderful. Friendly, patient and welcoming to weary travelers pissed off at flight delays or long connections. I applaud your warm smiles!! The food selection is ok, typical items to tie you over. We arrived at breakfast hour and able to have some lunch as well. Cocktails are wonderful if you an indulge otherwise the expresso machine makes a strong latte and cappuccino. There's plenty of seating if it's not busy but generally there's more at the bar. But if you need to dock, you may have to coshare at a single table. I was disappointed we had a lady who was very ill sitting in the lounge area. No mask and potentially sick with respiratory issue or Covid and staff did not address her persistent coughing. It's really unsafe for other travelers and certainly immuno compromised guests. I chose my lounges selectively. But if you're in T3, you can wait here. For more flights. More options. More adventures.
