It's a nice place. Plenty of parking. The menu is nice and varied. Reading the menu is tough because it's on a dark brown background with the writing in a light tan. In a fully lit room it maybe easier but the night we went the lighting was subdued. We were two couples. Ordered drinks but they were delayed. I wanted a hamburger so badly and because I am gluten intolerant I asked if they had gluten free buns. The waiter checked and came back to say they did not have gluten free buns. This is annoying because many burger places do not have or use gluten free buns though they are readily available. We ordered appetizers and they were good- chicken wings and fried pickles( and did not eat these). The drinks came. They were good. So I couldn't eat a burger unless I wanted it bun less. I ordered a wedge salad. It was good but the honey mustard dressing was super sweet and thick like pancake syrup. Other than the super sweet dressing and the over riped avocados- they were super soft almost like mush- the salad was fine. Everyone else's meals were good though 2 of the people at the table didn't eat the fries because they didn't like them. Overall not bad but if you are gluten intolerant you won't find a gluten free bun here for your burgers. read more

Waitress was awful - she was so scattered, messed up our order, almost hope it was her first day. Draft beers tasted sooo bad - like they need to clean out their system. My arugula salad was defrosting when served - very wet and cold. My husband did not like his simple burger and fries. I came here with my mother, grandmother & sister on 12/24 around 1:30pm and we had a really great experience. Our family often has trouble with restaurants because my grandmother has mobility issues and needs a lot of assistance walking. When we arrived, the hostess (sorry didn't get her name and I wish we did) opened the door for my family as we were helping my grandmother walk. We were very grateful for this gesture. Our waitress- Kim- was excellent. She was very attentive and made some great recommendations. We had a really amazing experience and my mother and grandmother have already returned! On 1/3/2019- their great waitress was Kailey and the same great hostess helped with the door! Such a small gesture that makes such a big difference. (Sorry we don't know the hostesses name but we will definitely ask next time). This will probably be our family go-to spot from now on! Very rude manager named Kiera, mixed drinks sucked. When we complained about the Texas iced teas (comparable to LI iced teas) we were told rudely that we can upgrade our drinks with an additional charge or order new drinks, but would still be charged for the bad drinks. She mentioned the drinks were exact measurements what it should be, but 1 drink was clearly darker than the other and tasted like only soda! She cannot make us decent drinks. Ordered take out for Valentine's Day. The Barn Burger was awesome - the beef was juicy, the shoulder bacon adds a ton of flavor, and everything went well with the potato bun. Food was ready exactly on time. The pick up area at the bar was neatly organized. And staff were very friendly and polite. They also gave out home made chocolate cookies for Valentines Day to top it all off. This was my first time going to the burger barn. I went on reviews from my friends saying this place was great. They went the first week it was open and said everything was awesome minus the service being slow. The service this time was smooth. Food was brought out quickly and the wait staff was constantly around to refill water. The parking lot was packed so I figured we'd have to wait forever but we got right in. My bacon cheeseburger was amazing. Four pieces of bacon and it was cooked perfectly. I will definitely be making return visits. So glad this is close to home. read more

We received smiles from everyone and loved walking the warm atmosphere. Our server Liz was not only efficient and knowledgeable, but one of the sweetest servers either of us have ever had. The good: -The Speakeasy Prohibition Amber Ale was a very tasty beer. -The fried pickles were nice & crisp. -The Truffle Shuffle Burger was cooked perfectly (Very rare like i requested) & had a nice truffle flavor. I love how you can almost taste the burger (by smelling it) before you bite. -If you're super hungry you can add an extra parry for a bit more. -If you're a kid at heart you can draw on the table topper with the provided crayons. The meh: -I was hoping that for $8 i would have gotten a bit more fried pickles ($7.75 to be exact). -The onion rings were good, however forgettable. Used to be a favorite of mine. I worked not far from here and we would often come for lunch or after work drinks/appetizers. Tonight we showed up with my daughter's softball team at my recommendation as I had always wanted to bring my kids here to try the fried pickles. About 25 of us. The manager behaved as if it was a grave inconvenience for us to be there and made a nasty comment about us not calling ahead. She then said she would not sit us together and proceeded to spilt our group up into 4 corners of the restaurant despite numerous empty tables around us with 18, yes 18 empty seats around. When I looked confused she asked me if I was lost to which I replied, no I am just wondering why you split us up. She smugly informed me that the empty seating was reserved and that that the people would arrive in half an hour. The food is expensive and mediocre- all gone downhill for sure. Good show B.B.- I think you need a new manager. This will be the last time I ever come here and I'll be sure to keep my colleagues out of here too. read more

Finally. A SOLID Burger/Fries/Beer joint in the HV. My sons and I have driven past 'The Burger Barn' many times, always on our way to somewhere else. Today, we finally decided to stop in. I'm sorry that we took so long to get here. The staff was friendly, and our server was a joy. I ordered 'The Barn Burger' which was cooked as ordered - you'd be surprised how many burger joints screw up this simple task - and was super-tasty. The fries were *perfect*; brown, crispy, and plentiful. My sons ordered the "The John Handcock" burgers; the eggs were done just right. If my sons are happy and full, trust me, that's saying something. They have a great selection of beers, but I didn't have a chance to try any, so I'll be back for a burger, fries, and a beer. From pretty fair right down to awful. What a shame. Two stars at best, but only because the beer is really good. Certainly not for the food. The burgers have gotten smaller and the so called "cheese" is a tasteless, orange blop atop a coarse, flavor-free meat patty. The crunchy fries suffered from being browned in old oil that left a horrid aftertaste. And the mushy, tasteless potato bun made it all seem far worse. Compound that with the bizarrely over-eager waitresses who asked over and over and over if all was well and did I need anything else, then scooped up my wife's tray (plate) when she dared to pause for breath. Love the trivia nights on Thursday. Haven't been here in quite some time so we stopped in for an early dinner. We started with the fried onion rings and soft pretzels. Both were a good choice however the cheese sauce with the pretzels was terrible. Our waiter Dan did a wonderful job from start to finish. He was very friendly and helpful with our questions and requests. The burgers were as good as I remember. The Cuban burger was delicious and cooked perfectly as was my companions burger.
