I have been visiting the Buffalo Spot intermittently in Compton for the last couple of years. The quality of food was excellent and the service great. Today I visited the spot. I ordered a Buffalo salad and 5-peice wings, and my husband ordered the boneless chicken strips. I must say the quality of the food has gone way down from my last visit a year ago. The chicken in my Buffalo salad was soggy and tasted funny, like the chicken was no good, the strips were bland with no flavor, and the wings had this old wrinkled skin on them. Came here last week because we couldn't decide on what we wanted to eat. We decided to try out this since I wanted salad, and this place looked like an okay place to get salad. I got the chicken salad, and he got the buffalo fries. I would have gotten the fries too but we had eaten fries the day before and I was feeling carb overload. So for the time being, decided to try to stick to something a little more healthy. I got a big box, while his box was a small box. His fries were really good. I think I ate like half of his fries. But that was the end of the good...the Mac and Cheese was not good, tasted milky and the macaroni was mush. The Bread, if you call that bread, was really more of a rigid rod of cement, it actually hurt my teeth trying to bite it, and rip off a piece, didn't give it a chance, YUCK! DON'T GET THE BREAD! The potato salad was much to bust for my taste, and was very, very "mayonnaise-y", not good at all! It must not have been prepared correctly.The ribs although tasty were a bit on the dry side, and when I asked for more BBQ sauce, the girls charged me for it. And O MG those onion rings. They were dripping in oil and very mushy...my son who loves onion rings...said, "Those is nasty!" and didn't eat one. Now, I went back up, waiting in line, again, to tell the girl about the onion rings, and the only thing she could offer was, well I know...that's just the way we make them, most everybody likes them. Now for the nightmare...both my son and I woke up today with a headache and stomach hurting. We were both sickly all day...I still have the headache. My son and I have been, for the sake of decency and my own modesty, we both were experiencing horrific "gastric distress" that had the whole gamut of nasty and embarrassing attributes. They are extremely over priced, they're are better options for sure when it comes to hot wings. Their fries are extremely greasy, and the salad is definitely weak.
