I went in for lunch on 10/07/2026, there was about 10 people inside the Restaurant, a couple of people standing waiting for their food Togo, I walked up to the Cashier no name tag, she completely ignore me, no smile and went back to the kitchen, the other Cashier was putting orders with out any eye contact to the patrons, I understand if they are under a lot of pressure, they still agree to take the job and need to be aware that the paying guests are the ones that make their job secure, I am sure there are tons of people that would love to be working there, it is very important for Management to stay back and just watch the crew work, and decide who needs help or retrained and be held accountable, we have many choices of food to choose, your food is great, PLEASE FOCUS ON SERVICE BE KIND TO PEOPLE!!!!!! read more

Needed some fuel for a big workout so stopped by. The menu has a lot of choices and a lot going on--I love that they listed the protein by grams and the staff were helpful for me deciding. The poke was not very good so I don't recommend but the shrimp skewers and the fish plate were both fantastic! Plenty of seating inside although there were several screaming children--hopefully not too frequent an event. read more

Love coming here! Im always definitely satisfied. The food always tastes fresh and tender. I started browsing around the menu and never disappointed. The staff is always awesome here. Ive talked to some of the staff members in the past. This time i had the pleasure of being helped by Oscar & Sergio during my visit. The Taco Tuesday special definitely hit. I would highly recommend the Cajun Salmon tacos Even for a special, they are not stingy with the portion. Upgrading my side to brussel sprouts was dope too. I always get them. The place is always really clean also. read more

The staff are always helpful. Our office goes about 3 times a week and they are always fast and friendly.

Walked in skeptical about this place due to bad experiences in other California fish grills with staff and food, but I walked in and was already feeling welcomed. I was greeted and helped immediately with real professionalism. Ordered their Garlic Atlantic salmon and was very impressed, flavors were exquisite. read more

We were in the area and stopped by for dinner. It was their first day opening. We got the catfish and giant shrimp plates. Food was 5/5 I did notice the catfish portion was smaller than the other locations. Still delicious. The shrimps were juicy and fresh. Service 0/5 The cashier was nice but the 2 girls who passed out food were not friendly. It took me a few seconds to decide what sauce I want and she rolled her eyes. When I went back for another sauce, she again seemed irritated at serving the customers. Given this is the first day of opening, I hope their staff will learn customer service is important. Parking: Very busy shopping center. Took us a while to find parking. They offer inside sitting and not outside sitting. Very clean and nice decor. read more

My wife ordered the Seabass with garlic butter sauce, and it was amazing. She said, along with the brussels sprouts, which always hit. She ordered the sweet potato fries, and you know I stole them. I ordered my dynamite shrimp bowl, which is my go to and loved it as well. Oscar and the team killed it, I was one of them, annoying customers, and asked for seven different things, and he never appeared to be bothered. Thank you guys read more

Man! What a wonderful addition to the community of South Gate. Mainly, there is too many locations for burgers, wings and other common foods that just don't do it for me. Finally, a place so delicious and a staff welcoming. Chris was the best! He made sure we were taken care of and for a moment I felt at a Michelin star restaurant. Give this gentleman a promotion or a raise. I've worked in sales and it's important to have someone like Chris on your team. Thanks again! I'll be back! read more

The Azalea location is a fantastic spot for anyone who appreciates great food, great service, and a comfortable dining experience. Highly recommended. First time going, and last time. Went today 2/7/26 @ approximately 6:00pm ordered a bowl no onion no kale. Real simple but the cook put onion. The guy handing me the food saw right away and told the cook and the cook seemed irritated. He started scooping the onion out but I have an allergy so I have to mention that. He remade the bowl and through it across the counter. I can see all this happening since I'm standing at the counter. Second time around he put the kale again. Told them he can scoop it out no big deal so he proceeded to scoop it out and threw the bowl across the counter again. Don't feel right to see someone throwing your food across the counter when they made the mistake and you're not even upset about it. Just wanted to leave at this point and one lady apologies to me and offered me a side of calamari but I said if you don't mind I would actually like a side of chicken if it's ok but you don't have to, she said it was fine. Again Oscar their cook was irritated threw the chicken across the counter and the person who was manager on shift well she made it a point to tell me they will not do that again because it's not Normal procedure but they offered me a side. Anyways I won't be back after this, and please see the image below this is the only reason I agreed and asked for extra chicken since my bowl looked underwhelming read more

I came here yesterday because I was in the area. I had a conversation with the manager because I asked him how long it had been here, since I haven't been in this plaza for a while. I got Poke and Brussels sprouts. The recipe is the same at all locations, but the difference between this location and the rest of the California Fish Grill places is that this one was really clean, and if you have any issues with your order or food, the manager will take care of it very quickly. I am very impressed with this eating establishment. The place is clean and well run. The food is good. Great job, Manager!

If you're a huge fan of CFG like me, the Southgate location is the one to come to. The bathroom and tables are super clean, delicious food, fast service, knowledgeable and attentive staff. I ordered the grilled Atlantic salmon with miso glaze, kale slaw, miso slaw (yes I love miso), shrimp skewer with cajun and garlic butter, and to top it off a clam chowder! Odalys was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great suggestions when I requested low calorie, yummy sides. The manager Brenda was attentive and came to my table to see if the food was to my liking and if I needed additional help. Overall, the staff here are friendly really know what they were doing! The food here is amazing as well. I usually go to the CFG near LBX, but this place is such an upgrade and you can really taste the difference. To start, the clam chowder is actually hot! The sauces look appetizing, slaws are fresh, and the fish well seasoned. Even though it's a 30 minute drive, I'd be willing to come to Southgate. You can tell they cook their food with love. read more

This was our first time at this location. I got the salmon with the grilled zucchini's and rice. The customer service was on point. Everyone was very friendly and engaging. I will say that this was their soft opening so I don't know if that was a true representation of their customer service on a day to day basis. The place was not packed at all.
