We started with the red velvet French toast. Literally don't need a knife, ITS LIKE BUTTER!! So delicious! Warm and fulfilling; comes with 3 pieces. Next, I had the hardy boy scrambler and my date had the crab Benedict. Both were a 10/10. Super fulfilling. Skillet comes with pancakes & so does the Benedict! So good. The place was already bumping, people everywhere. It was a 30 minute waiting period. It was well worth it. We had the best time and the atmosphere was awesome! Friendly people. Food Being a Texan, the food portions were smaller than I would have expected. I opted for the omelette with hash browns, it was decent, no major issues, I had to apply salt to my preference but that is to be expected. I was also given a side of fruit. Service The location was very crowded when I got here, and there was little space to move around but there were definitely brunch vibes for people to enjoy and be social. Ambiance Small location, lots of noise and motion. Bright colors and high energy, there is also an outdoor section if a person does not want to be indoors with their meal. Quick and easy stop at this restaurant for brunch, staff is polite and responsive when you call. We were added to the waitlist promptly and when we arrived, the hosts were alert and helpful. Next time we will bring our puppy as their outdoor seating looked inviting. Ambience is bright and clean, booth seating was comfortable, and our waiter was prompt and knowledgeable. We went with the Iron Man scrambler, which comes with a side of mini pancakes or toast, added turkey sausage for the side. Along with that we ordered the chicken fried chicken and selected fried okra for the side. The fried okra is probably the best we've had in Dallas! The Brunch District is one of those places you almost don't want to share with anyone because it's just so good. There was a wait when we got there so I guess the secret is out! It's located in a shopping center next to Tom Thumb. It's not a large place but certainly enough room to accommodate a few large parties. I ordered the veggie skillet with mini pancakes. Of course, the awesome waitress we had asked if I wanted to add anything and I HAD to add bananas and Nutella. I did not regret my choice. The skillet was just perfection. So savory and it was prepared very well. And the pancakes hit the spot for sweet. My friend ordered the Tuscan omelet with grits. I'm not an omelet person but took a bite and thought it was really good. There is a full bar so it's got everything you need to have a fun and memorable brunch - great service, great food and booze. They have a full bar if you want to make your brunch a boozy one. Everything was well done and the service was good. The place has more of an upscale casual mom & pop vibe to it than a trendy upscale one. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time and I highly recommend it. I had the Meat Lovers Skillet, my wife went with the Carnitas Skillet, and our kids had the classic kids' breakfast with an extra egg. We all absolutely devoured our meals. Our kids usually aren't big on potatoes, but they couldn't get enough of the house potatoes here -- that alone says a lot. This place just opened. It was only the second weekend and it was pretty full of people. It's beautifully decorated. A great place to meet your girlfriends. The hosts were very welcoming, and we were able to sit fairly quickly even with a full house. Our waiter was pretty attentive although my husband's order came out wrong, they quickly fixed it. Food: Crab Cake Benedict: flavorful, crunchy, and fresh-- highly recommend. it was really unique but so satisfying Chicken Fried Steak: texture wasn't salty or too crunchy-- it was the perfect in between. Very flavorful and the gravy was a great addition to enhance it. Grits didn't even need any flavor or butter it was already delicious Atlantic Benedict: AMAZING. It's just what you'd expect from a smoked salmon-cream cheese bagel. Cinnamon Roll French Toast: sweet, filling, and delicious Southern Benedict: very filling, crunchy, served hot, sooo flavorful with the potatoes as well For the amount of dishes we ordered, we only have good things to say about them. My companion ordered pancakes, they weren't very good. Syrup was necessary and was not included with the pancakes So, if you order pancakes, be prepared to pay $2 for 2 ounces of syrup. My mother-in-law asked for a refill of her decaf coffee and my husband saw him swap out the lids of what we assume was regular coffee and passed it off as decaf.
