The wait was 35 minutes. I gave my name and number. They called out names all the time but forgot to call mine. Also they wrote my number wrong so after almost an hour and have everyone else seated (we were the only people waiting at that point) I finally asked when it was our turn to be seated. She said she texted me but never got a response. We sat 2 feet from her at the chairs. She never asked us about anything. It's unbelievable. We got seated after that. No manager ever came by to apologize or anything. Maybe you should hire more adult people to run your restaurant. Food was below average. The only person that was great was the waitress. I went in with a small group last Thursday night to celebrate my cousins 21st birthday and ended up having some of the worst service I've ever had. Took over 30 minutes just to get our order taken, then took another 35-40 to actually get it to the table. Mind you, they weren't very busy at all. Our server barely checked on us and none of us got refills. One of us found hair that wasn't ours in a chicken wrap and only a few dollars was taken off her ticket. A table came in much later than we did, served by the same server, and were out long before we were. We ended up being there for nearly two and a half hours. Just one of those would make a dining experience bad, but all of that in one night is almost unbelievable. Had a great dinner on Tuesday. The staff were friendly and the food was delicious. We tried to go back the next night at 9 pm. 10 people and half of them young children. The hostess said it was "too late" to seat a party this big and we would need to speak to a "manager" in order to be seated. What?!? We came in at 7pm on Saturday night, and of course it was crowded. Problem was, all the tables were not being used?? I asked if they were limiting capacity and she said no...really?? Sure looks like it. To eat outside was an hour wait, and our wait ended up being 30 min. You could tell the hostess was having a bad night. They literally took 5 minutes before speaking to use trying to figure out what tables were taken. THEN I had to go up and ask when we were going to be seated because the people who checked in after us got seated before us. She said "I texted you"...No you didn't. No good technology to keep up with the wait, she has to write down the numbers and remember who is next from a sheet. Poor. Our waiter from the bar was pretty good, but we had to ask for water and silverware. Then, after we had already paid, the lady comes to clean our table BEFORE WE WERE GETTING UP??? Who does that?? Just not good. Even though this place looks like a nicer restaurant, I can promise you it is nothing more than a bar. I saw the menu before coming and came in with those expectations. So, we ordered cheese fries, chicken tenders, and parmesan chicken salad. As stated in the first review, the fries are phenomenal. Great seasoning, good flavor, and the loaded cheese fries comes with PLENTY of bacon, jalapenos, and cheese. Great choice. The chicken tenders were a bit dry, my salad was awesome and everything I saw come out of the kitchen had HUGE portion sizes so come hungry. The choice of beer and cocktails is good as well. The food was good, I got the chicken fried steak (they are not kidding about how big it was) but the service was not as good. We were sat on the patio & felt like we were forgotten about. We waited for about half our meal to get refills & order new drinks & then another 10 just to get the checks. Then one of our people were charged another persons ticket (double the price of hers). So on my 22nd birthday, at dinner with my boyfriend and friends which all range between 23-27 in age too, my boyfriend with a California license as well, I was refused a drink. My server said because it was out of state and "expired". Such bs. I literally went barhopping downtown right after dinner and went to 3 different bars, no questions asked, id checked, and I was served alcohol. I just can't believe that I was denied at this restaurant, especially for the "out of state" id reasoning. I asked my friends how their food was, apparently chicken was dry, fish was obviously frozen and not cooked well. Only good thing we had to say was the fries but you can really get good fries anywhere. My boyfriend was also hoping they would do something for birthdays and he asked they said they did not do anything. We really loved this place. The atmosphere was nice. From the outside it looks more upscale, but inside it's more like a bar. We were seated at a table that was right beside a very large group and it felt like we were intruding on their party. I went to the hostess to ask for a different table and she was already working on moving us so we weren't in the big party's way. We got the chips, queso, salsa, and guac. The salsa was spicy. The spicy where you have to keep eating it.. but it was so good. Chips were great as well. Came out hot and super crispy. All of our food came out piping hot. Which was great. Chicken tenders were fantastic. Steak fingers were fantastic. I got the fajitas. Probably wouldn't do that again. The steak had no flavor and was extremely chewy. Just recently opened downtown and everybody's anxious to check it out. We made it there on a Saturday around 4pm. Found parking on the street on Detroit. There's a lot across the street which charges $5. Entered on the East side off the patio. There's an elevator to the 2nd floor. Very busy so we found a seat at the bar. Several booths in the bar and several big screen TVs. The bar faces the kitchen. Woulda been nice to have faced it to the South where the view is. Greeted by the bartender who did not offer his name. No masks. Provided us a menu and took our drink order. I got a Dead Armadillo Amber and asked for a glass ($5). The bar back who was being trained poured the glass too fast and ended up with 3/4 foam. The bartender noticed but not much he could do besides wait until the foam died down. He never offered us any water. I had nothing to do besides wait for the beer to get over itself. By the time it had calmed down, the foam had spilled over the edge of the glass and he sit it down in front of me with foam all over the outside. My wife got a Savignon Blanc ($8). I ordered a Fish & Chips (1/2 for $6.50). It was okay. The fries were excellent. It came with tartar sause and a couple of lemon wedges. There was one other person at the bar and the bartender asked him if his burger was all right. He never checked on us to see if we were happy. The bar back in training did ask us how we were doing. Now if he could just learn to pour a beer, we'd be in good shape. We overheard the bartender complaining about other staff which I don't believe is appropriate. The check came to $40 including tax. One entree, two beers, two wines. He set the check down in front of me not saying a word. When we stood up to leave -- nothing. I tipped $20 on the $40 check because that's what I've been doing during the pandemic. We found out what we wanted to know about this place. The table next to us who ordered about 20 minutes after us receive their food at the same time as us. Our server told us Door Dash and smaller parties take priority over larger tables although a party of 8 received their food before us a few tables down.
