My coworkers and I stopped by The Brook Downtown in Tulsa for dinner and the young guy at the front was kind enough to get permission to seat our large party before closing. The restaurant itself is on the 2nd floor and had a nice layout - perfect for large groups or gathering. I heard they were known for their Chicken Fried Steak so a few of us ordered it. OMG the portions were huge - even the drinks! The chicken fried steak was a bit heavy so it was hard to finish. I got a side of Caesar salad and enjoyed it better. I thought the Deep Fried Mushrooms were the best item we had. It was delicious. This was shared between our party and I actually liked it more than the steak! Overall, service was okay. This was my first time ever eating at The Brook. I've tried many times over the years, but the wait was always too long. This time we got right in before the dinner rush on a Saturday night. I was excited to eat on the patio. The heaters kept it perfectly cozy on a sunny but chilly evening. Nice views of downtown. Our waitress was great too. My disappointment was the food. It's huge portions, but it's not at all what I expected. It's less than mediocre American food. The fries are house cut fresh but soggy. And my fish in my fish and chips was frozen boxed filets like Van De Kamp's brand. But I will say the prices are really cheap, so I guess that makes sense. It stays insanely busy, so the combination of cheap but basic food works for them. Plus location is great. I'd eat there again with a group, but never my choice alone. read more

Haven't been in about a year but thought it would be a great place to eat outdoors on this gorgeous day. We ordered fried mushrooms, which I remember being the best ever but they weren't like in the past, batter wasn't as light and crispy and the portion was much smaller. I ordered a half order of fish and chips and it was also MUCH different, thin undercooked, frozen and poor quality. Sent it back and just ate the tater tots. My husband got the green chili burger and it was huge and really good. Surprised to see that Shiner Octoberfest beers were $9. Our server was very nice but could have been more attentive. Had a work lunch with coworkers and decided on this restaurant. First impression was good. We were seated quickly and had our beverages quickly. French fries were the go to. I ordered 1/2 order of cheddar fries doing the up charge for bacon bits, green onions but no jalapeños. Sorry forgot the picture! But they were a huge mound of fried covered in cheddar cheese, bacon bits and onions. They were good but a bit too salty for me. If I go there again I'll try the Reuben sandwich which someone else ordered and enjoyed. Service was slow but it was lunchtime so I'll give them an ok for that read more

Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday. The building and space are beautiful. You have to climb quite a few stairs to the 2nd floor or take an elevator. The vestibule for the stairs was freezing. We got to the top and had to wait about 10 minutes before getting a table. We were seated and greeted quickly. Then took about 10 minutes to get waters and order. Plenty of empty dirty tables around us and slow service made it seem like they're understaffed like most places these days. Kids burger was mediocre but the salad was huge and good. My husband and I split the fried chicken sandwich which is always good but I think they've changed it because it's not how I remembered it and not as amazing. Fries were delish as always. Start to finish, pretty amazing. I walked in and Lucy was at the front, smiling and welcoming, very beautiful but with really fun energy. I saw the Thirsty Thursday menu, which is frozen drinks for $5 and $1 for top it off with an additional shot of vodka. I've got heart eyes already. I couldn't decide which one I wanted to try first so she let me taste test the blueberry lavender, frozé, and the seasonal flavor which was some sort of floral with St Germain. Ok LOVE. Started off with the blueberry lavender, and got the sweet potato waffle fries to start. YUM. Not too crispy, not too soggy, which is what I was afraid of with waffle fries. Lucy also recommended Carmel sauce with the fries. I tried it and it's my new fav thing. It's SO GOOD. Octavia took over as Lucy is a manager (checks out) and she's super sweet and very helpful. Entree decision was the taco wrap with a side of tater tots. Neat, and delicious. 10/10 would recommend. Thought I would be able to have a second round but decided against it, guess I have to come back soon for that other frozen bevie. Highly recommend spending a Thursday afternoon/eve here. Sitting outside, downtown Tulsa in the spring is still beautiful even with all the construction. Whenever I come back, I'll be hitting the Brook again for sure. read more

I've been here a handful of times. A couple of orders were the chicken tenders (one of the was spicy) & a couple of other orders were burgers. Even chilled to watch a game at the bar, looking at their big selection of cocktails. The times I've been there, the service was good. The burger I ordered recently was the Bleu Cheese Burger with bleu cheese, bacon, chipotle bbq & pickles. They give a good amount of fries (there are a selection of sides outside of fries). I got a cocktail to go with it, can't remember the name off top. There were a few Specialties (Buffalo Sandwich being one) + Southwest Chicken Nachos I want to try. I may even try a dessert. Great view on the outdoor patio (great area once the weather gets warm again). Nice spot to watch sports. read more

Do not eat here! We ordered a chicken wrap, fried mushrooms, fried pickles and another wrap. The chicken wrap was filled with dried pieces of chicken that look like it had been set out for a week. We ordered through DoorDash. The food was so gross that I could not eat it. I tried to call them to see if they could just replace the wrap and because I made the order through DoorDash. They would not give me a refund nor could I just get a replacement order everything had to go through DoorDash! I had to call DoorDash to get them to replace the wrap. Went in on a Saturday as soon as they opened. Sat us way in the back corner inside no options if we preferred to sit anywhere else since it was empty. While walking host was asking other waitress is she wanted to take us she nodded no. Host became our waitress. She was nice but had no idea about their soup all she knew it was canned soup. Unfortunately the seats were dirty and my drink had some bread crust floating in it. My turkey burger was great huge broccoli veggies portion. He had custom Mac but the toppings were minimal. Went to The Brook Downtown with 3 children and 2 adults. One of the children ordered a hamburger , and my mom spoke up and said "from the kids menu". Our food came out and his burger looked big for a kids. We were going to ask if it was a children hamburger but the wait was never came to check on us after the food was delivered (by someone else). When she finally came to check on us we were finished , she brought the check and sure enough she charged us for a adult burger. We kindly asked for it to be changed to a children meal like we asked for and she snapped at us that she didn't hear us say that, and he ordered an adult meal.
