    Ahi Tataki Salad

This is a good, solid restaurant. We've been a few times and every time has been fairly good. I can usually get a table without a long wait, the happy hour prices are fair and I love that they have outdoor seating.

Went on a Friday night to find plenty of open tables. Our first time since they changed the menu, the French dip sandwich was so big it was cut into 3 parts. Kale Cesar salad was tasty, added chicken was a little dry. Tip to use InKind to get cash back to use at other restaurants!

Perfect brunch spot. They recently redid the inside and it's beautiful and sleek. The staff was incredibly nice and very helpful. But you're coming here for the food and every bite is worth it. The recommendations: First and foremost, all dishes are quite large, so be mindful Highly recommend brunch cocktails. They do a fantastic job. Fair warning - if you do the spicy margarita, it IS spicy. They infuse their tequila with jalapeño and habanero so it definitely packs a punch. Frittata- large, full of little extras either great flavor. French toast - massive portion. Highly recommend splitting this as a sweet option for the table. Burger - sloppy and fantastic. It did get a little soggy at one point, but the flavor made up for any of the drips. BLTA - I added smoked salmon to this one which I highly recommend. The bread is fantastic and the overall sandwich is very hardy. Awesome spot. Will definitely go back!

I arrived early for my reservation and a seemingly random man wandered up to the host stand and greeted me. I think he might be the owner or a manager. He was nice enough. I wasn't seated where I requested and it wasn't busy, but my table was still fine. The server was friendly and checked in frequently without being overbearing. The ambiance was casual and quiet. The food was pretty mediocre. The BLTA was fine. Nothing remarkable. I also had the Crème Brûlée, which was also just fine. It had a random shortbread cookie on top that really doesn't make sense with the dish. I could have done without it. Everything was just...fine.

There are many places to eat on Union Street and this is just one that's not as memorable. I used to love Brixton and their awesome happy hours. The former owner made the place fun and edgy with cool music venue posters from days past. Then there was a closure and redo. It's over priced and just has a different attitude. There's a fireplace in front by the open doors so it's not really cozy. The staff are nice. The drinks are good. The dessert is yummy. We had the best salad and the smash burger with fries. It was fine.

This was a wonderful breakfast outing, on a perfect sunny day in SF. We decided on The Brixton on Union in the Marina. The service was fantastic...prompt, never an empty water glass and plates removed when the meal was consumed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Menu variety made it hard to choose just one! (We'll have to go back!) Indoor and outdoor seating.

One of the more underwhelming restaurants in the Marina in terms of food. The vibe and then aesthetics at the Brixton are always lively and fun but the food just fails to amaze me. It's by no means bad but for the price it's not where it should be. The service was great as our waitress was super attentive and sweet. Would come here for drinks before a night out but would skip dinner.

Showed up for Valentine's Day and still amazing like always! Obviously they were fully booked so it took a while but was worth it. Deviled Eggs and Guacamole were good but the Pork Loin was even better. Seemed like lots of love in the air especially with an Espresso Martini. 10/10

Caesar Salad, Hamburger, 1/2 Sweet Potato and 1/2 reg fries, and Allagash White. Yum!!! :0)

They used to have great burgers, fries and service. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. Went here for lunch recently and they downgraded my Wagyu hamburger to the Smashburger and tried to charge me the higher price. I had to ask a 2nd server to confirm that the hamburger served was a mistake and they offered to make the correct, more expensive burger. By that time, I didn't trust the staff so suffered and ate that miserable "smashburger" flat, thin, tasteless wannabe burger. I can't recommend this place anymore and won't ever return. Terrible, unwelcoming staff and horrible food. Don't get ripped off, there are tons of other great options on Union St.

    MARTINI TOWER
    Emily H.

MARTINI TOWER This is the only reason I wanted to come here. And the Tini tower didn't disappoint. 6 mini martinis (we did half lemon drop half dirty) and lots of little snackys! Honestly the vibe inside is not like soooo super fun. There was 13 of us on a Saturday night and there was like 2 other groups in the whole place.... Place just needs a little PR and this place could be awesome!

    2 for 1 girl dinner!
    Pam M.

I dined here last night after my friend saw the sign for Girl Dinner. After a little bit of research, it's only available when using the Blackbird app (which is an app to pay your bill). I downloaded the app prior to arrival & made reservations via Open Table which was easy enough. The girl dinner is only featured on Wednesdays for about a month (May 2025) & this specific offer started on 4/30. Both individuals have to order the same meal so we both ordered burgers (the girl dinner standard burger has no bun) & my friend ordered that served medium but I ordered mine with a bun served medium rare. The burger is pretty big & seasoned perfectly. I devoured my entire burger except a few bites of the bun. Martinis are the accompanying beverage (gin, vodka or espresso tini). My friend had the gin martinis (including mine because I'm on antibiotics so I couldn't partake). We also shared a tuna tataki salad which was good but the burger was my favorite. Service is friendly & helpful.

    Martini tower
    Leatricia N.

I only came here for one thing only and it was for the martini tower!! It was super cute and such fun little idea. It came with 6 mini glasses of martinis accompanying with blue cheese stuffed olives, seasoned nuts, and potato chips. Came here around 9pm on a Friday and it was super packed but luckily I made reservations in advance which I highly recommend you to do if you plan on coming here. I sat in the back of the restaurant and it was spacious enough for my group of 5. The vibes were a mix of both vibrant and lively. There was music playing and lots of laughter going around the whole atmosphere. A typical night in the city during the weekend. It was my first time trying a dirty martini and I expected it to taste better in my head. That's just a personal preference but I think I'll stick to my regular espresso martinis or old fashions. The service was great, everyone was super friendly however not as attentive as I wished. Overall, great place for a girls night out or even date night!

I was excited to see that the first cocktail listed on the menu was the Porn Star. I don't often see this drink offered, so it was a nice surprise. The version here is mixed with vodka but no bubbles. It's barely noticeable though because they made it into such a fruity concoction, I couldn't even taste the alcohol. My group threw some darts, mingled with and chatted up others as they arrived, and eventually migrated to the nightclub side of the bar. I thought the experience was pretty good at first, but after a while I got bored, so I went to join other friends at White Rabbit and continue the night. I definitely think this is a good bar to include in the rotation for bar hopping nights in the Marina.

This place was very nice as the interior and exterior was exquisitely designed. Their patio is one of the best places in the city for a date night! Pork and Truffle XLB (5/5): Just wow! It was earthy but also packed with umami flavor Mushroom spring roll (5/5): Definitely one of best eggroll I've ever had. The skin was flaky and not too crunchy. The mushroom created this unique flavor I've never had in an eggroll. Ahi Tuna tostada (5/5): This was my favorite because I love raw fish, but nontheless this was amazing. The fish was fresh and the avocado packed it with flavor. Szechuan chicken (5/5); This was great bite to share with the table. A lil kick with a big punch of flavor. Lettuce cup chicken (5/5): Nice balance of crunch and savory. I loved how the chicken wa spackled with flavor and lettuce was refreshing. Chilean Sea bass (5/5); Glazed with miso so it was perfectly sweet. I liked the texture of the fish as it had a nice chewiness. Stir fired beef (5/5): Very tender and packed with flavor. The smokiness reminds me of a steakhouse Sweet & tangy chicken (5/5): This comes with a half pineapple. It has a sweet glazed tangy flavor and the chicken had delicate texture. Roasted egg plant (5/5): I don't even like eggplant and I loved this dish. The eggplant was perfectly cooked as it wasn't too mushy and tofu was silky soft. I loved how it absorbs the rich sauce. Food was really good-- way better than I expected! The dim sum type apps were all super flavorful and didn't taste too americanized. I loved the pan fried bbq pork buns, crab siu mai, and the prawn toast. The garlic shrimp noodles were tasty but tasted just like garlic and butter so nothing too special; would try something else next time. The beef short rib was the only miss for our table; the seasoning leaned too sweet for us and i didn't love the flavor of the beef. And the service matches that energy perfectly: polished, warm, and present without hovering. And don't skip the cocktails. They're a core part of the experience. Their version of an Espresso Martini was my favorite of the night... and I'm not even a coffee drinker. Foodwise, everything was paced beautifully. We started with their playful "smoke break," a crunchy seaweed cigar stuffed with sweet Dungeness crab and caviar. The agnolotti was filled with ricotta and goat cheese, layered with Burgundy truffle and mushroom, and tied together with an aromatic onion porcini consommé. Warm malted pretzel bread came next with a silky Mornay sauce topped with caviar and mustard for dipping. The brandade of salted cod with light, airy whipped potatoes disappeared in a few spoonfuls, and the dry-aged kampachi mosaic, paired with truffle purée and finished with uni béarnaise and more truffle, was one of those bites you pause for. The highlight was the two-part course: matsutake chawanmushi with crab dashi and browned butter, paired with unbelievably tender abalone finished with a sauce made from its own liver. Closing: Bar Crenn isn't about big portions or spectacle. It's about intention, atmosphere, and a rare level of refinement that still feels welcoming. Drinks: Mizuwari - good, this is prebatched and carbonated upon service, nice light fruity flavors with a light sparkling effervescence, whisky definitely more in the background, didn't pick up much floral in this one either but enjoyed it Arlequin - good, nice creamy foamy texture from the egg white, nice acidity, with subtle berry notes, and a whisper of scotch in the finish, a very unique take on a whisky sour Baxter - boozy and on the sweeter side, with a strong cognac flavor in the finish, fruity upfront, a slow sipper Food: Nori Rolls: great, loved the fresh Dungeness crab within the crispy nori shell almost like a wafer texture with just a little bit of rice to hold it together, grab was sweet with a subtle saltiness, chives added a burst of light delicate onion flavor, came with two small pieces per order Scallop Tacos: good, thin slices of raw scallops topped with mildly spiced xo sauce, on a very crispy chip like textured shell, the citrus added a burst of freshness, good but was expecting more of a traditional taco with a tortilla, this was a canape sized bite Pretzel Bread with Mornay sauce - pretzel i believe was a buckwheat base so a bit more dense than i was expecting, nice salty crust, mornay sauce was very tart and acidic with a thin runny texture, mustard forward as well, had higher hopes for this wouldn't recommend if you are expecting a classic pretzel Lobster Roll - served in a brioche bun that was a bit dense and lacked the airiness I was expecting, lobster was also a tad tough and chewy, loaded with bearnaise which was creamy and rich with a subtle saltiness but overpowered by the hot sauce served ontop Paris Breast: highlight of the night, really light airy choux with a slight crisp exterior filled with a delicious lightly sweetened vanilla cream, passionfruit orange and guava in the curd and filling was also excellent and made for an exciting end to the meal. Service was solid fairly attentive, plates and serviceware and water refilled and refreshed throughout. Food was well paced. Drinks took a little time to order but understandable given there were only two bartenders for the evening. Overall Bar Crenn was a little disappointing, other than dessert nothing was particularly note worthy. Cocktails were good but not outstanding, small bites were pretty hit or miss with small portion sizes. Glad i got to try this spot but not likely to return.

We soon found out the name of the establishment: White Rabbit, which automatically made me want to see a Red Queen and Hookah smoking bug. But I saw none. What I saw was a chic spot, with space to dance, sit, sip, mingle, and other such items, but nothing that proclaimed that this White Rabbit belonged to the Alice-in-Wonderland-Universe of known fame. To be fair, there was a mural that was a focal point of the place, which did give Alice vibes in a strong way. However, this mural also did not depict the Alice of Wonderland that Disney allowed us to imagine, instead it gave us Alice gone vogue. The Alice mural (as pictured) has a twenty something girl, with flowing hair, of different shades of blonde and autumn. The girl was looking aimlessly to the horizon. Her eyes were blank yet full of wonder and fully open to an unseen opportunity that she can only love from afar. Her white rabbit had a third eye, and in one hand, she was holding a sweet pop that took the shape of a mushroom and was elegantly oozing with melting pink cream. The picture had become an editorialize version of Alice in a Wonderland that was more modern haute than traditional elevation. I would have preferred an experience that saw a performer dressed as the Mad Hatter and another like the Cheshire Cat. Thus, this vibe claims the name of the White Rabbit but does not deliver an Alice-esque experience. I would have like to know the ambiance of a bar Called Poe's Raven so my imagination can adequately manage its future responsibilities. I went during the days after Christmas, and before New Year's so there was not a lot of people there. This also explains why there is a Grinch and light up tree inflatables around. I can imagine that without the festive decorations, of the season, this bar is a chic cocktail bar where people go to meet and chill, and not discuss the symbolism of the Walrus, the Carpenter, or Anne Hathaway's portrayal of the White Queen. Meaning it is a place to have a good time, not live in deep dialogue. I had three drinks for 16 each. They were strong, well-crafted, and I had three, which says I liked them. I could have had more but my friend Denise was not in the party vibe. And now to the music which was the reason I was excited to write this Yelp. There were three DJ's in the house. The DJ's made Cake Walk, an artist collective who combine rhythm, time, work, and beat and remix (or maybe even update) classics of the 90's and 2000's. In a phrase, they make sweet honey for the ear drums that invite dancing, and general movement thats speaks life into a night- they just carried a good beat along! Denise, who only drank water, and I were vibing to the music, she was sitting, I was not. One of the three DJ's came along to us. His name was Landon, and he was just as nice, sweet, and uplifting, as his and his friend's music. We had conversations about our roles in the world, and how each of them mattered in a specific way. He invited me to party in San Diego. It might not happen, it likely will not, but at least, I believe it could. This was inclusion practiced to a grand degree, in a bar that could be a lounge or club, depending on the night. I want to stress that Denise and I went in because of the music, we stayed cause the place was cool and had drinks that were solid, but it was Landon, and the other DJ's who made the night into a party. For people who are not party dawgs, being escorted into the laser-filled moments of a night, is priceless. Additionally, he invited me to the DJ machine- record spinner? Not sure. And I touch some buttons. Honestly, it looked like a space ship shuttle, with all its button and knobs but I know it is not. I am just trying to describe what I saw based on my knowledge on these machines, which is basically zil. As Landon, and his two co DJ's spun and turned knobs, what seemed to be their parents rolled in. They were dancing, they were taking pictures, I got to see a moment of familial support, in a way I had not seen before. I mean I do not know how many parents would go and party for a quick two minutes when their children were spinning records for a crowd of less than 5 goers. But seeing it was quiet beautiful as all youth deserve to be supported by people who love them unconditionally. And on this night I got to see this promise fulfilled in dance. As I was dancing by myself, Landon came to my side. I started to make the make it rain move, you know pretending that I have enough singles on one hand to just dispense them into the air. And when I did that Landon started to follow the singles dropping with his eyes, expression and movements! Umph!!!
