LOVE love love this place. Who knew this funky hot spot was there. Look like a little local eatery but when you make your reservation UPSTAIRS it's a whole different world! Funky, trendy & fun! We went there on a Friday night about a month ago and it was very busy. We did not have a reservation but they seated us near the bar. I had ordered the scallops with bacon and a bbq sauce as an appetizer, Steak Diane and my wife ordered a Filet Mignon. We got our drinks and within a bit we received our steaks. I asked the waitress where my appetizer was she said oh they must have forgot due to being busy. After eating my appetizer after my dinner and we were in NO rush we had the whole night with nothing else to do. The Bridge Inn has a menu that caters to everyone. The Ahi Tuna Appetizer is excellent, however, I wish it were over some fresh arugula dressed lightly than the wilted spinach. I've dined on items from wings and flatbread to scallops and salmon. They food is fresh and cooked to order, nothing tastes or appears to have been previously prepared and put on a plate. They put their weekend menu on FB which is nice and they feature vegetarian specials--while I am not one, it's a nice touch. They have a really nice selection of beers including Microbrews. Martini Lounge is really nice and has full bar service--not just Martini's. I gave 4 stars because I think they are always making improvements and it shows, so, I need to leave room for that. If you were here when it was Pleasantville--it's changed MUCH since then. read more

The bridge inn is more and more popular and deserve it its the best place in berks county ,pennsylvania.

Loved this place and the food was fabulous. We were seated right away and the service was quick.

My Friends and I go there all the time to eat and then relax upstairs in the Martini lounge, which is only open Friday and Saturday nights. The food is outstanding, from the seared ahi tuna appetizer to any of the main entrees. The Martini lounge is very relaxing and kind of has a New York City feel to it, with out paying New York City prices. The martini selection is amazing and if there is something you can't find on the extensive menu, they will make it for you. Plus you can order appetizers in the lounge area as well.. I would strongly recommend calling and making reservations because it gets very busy in the lounge, but you can also order all of the martini's down stairs in the restaurant as well... I have no clue what the hell the other guy is talking about that reviewed this place. If you are in the greater Philadelphia area it is a must hit. It might be a bit of a drive but is definitely worth it. read more

If it were possible to give less than 1 star I would. I think they scrap the toppings off of frozen pizza to make their flat bread. The other items we ordered were just as terrible but I won't waste your time. We left the food on the table. Do yourself a favor and skip The Bridge Inn. read more

Was there at 1:30 pm 11/28/15 and asked for Italian hoagie and cheese steak hoagie. Place was not crowded. Finally by 2:15 got my sandwiches. Got home and Ugh, got a chicken steak hoagie, not a meat hoagie. Rolls too soft and stale and soggy. Hoagie seemed to have no flavor, no oregano, nothing, meat and cheeses tasted old. Tried to call them for two hours, phone off hook. I would not go there again. Lousy sandwiches, waste of money and my time. read more

This place is so weird, a country inn trying to be an upscale martini lounge. We arrived for dinner and were seated in a long narrow room up a treacherous stairway directly under a noisy air conditioner - staring at a shabby door labeled "employees only". this door opened every minute or so as some poor server busted through with a tray looking as though they ran a half K. A bar that labels itself a martini bar served up a basic gin and tonic so bad I can make a better one at home. The food was good, service was awkward , reminded my of service at a diner. I agree with the reviewer that couldn't make sense of the surroundings, and while the food was good we won't return. read more

My husband ,me and seven friends stopped at the Bridge Inn after an activity for a young friend. Our initial introduction to an empty dining area was a greeting by an employee who seemed annoyed, and a curt , ""DO YOU HAVE RESERVATIONS?". ". That should have been the first clue to turn and take our business else where. The service we received was poor and that is being kind. The employees were rude and no one ever bothered to check if any of us needed our beverages refilled. When we were able to get refills the employee appeared to be disgruntled. A different employee refilled my drink but with a different beverage. Another member of our party ordered honey mustard dressing for her salad. She was served Russian. It was brought to the employees attention where she defended her mistake, not admitting to it or taking responsibility even though 6 other people heard the order placed. We were not a loud and boisterous group, nor were we drunk. The bill came to $200 that included a 18% tip for an employee that deserved less than half of that, the employee received this much only because the policy of the tip be included in the bill of parties 6 or more. The food was good, but for $200 and an 18% tip I believe these individuals need to be much more courteous and professional to the guests. As for The I am not accustomed to having employees treat its patrons in such a fashion, I see not much of a future unless emploee manners improve Bridge Inn jump from it before you think of stopping. read more

The Bridge Inn is my favorite place to go for drinks and food, whether it's dinner or a late night snack! There are so many martinis to choose from and they are all excellent, as well as their craft beer selection. I come in at least once a week. The kinda spicy peanut sauce that is served with the pot stickers is to die for! The service here is great and the owner is a super nice guy :) read more

I'm not normally one to give such a low rating but i have to based on the ultra long wait we had for our meal tonight. We waited for 20 min for our drink order to be taken and waited over an hour for our meal when they weren't even full and other tables that came in after us were done before we were served. It's unfortunate because they have a nice patio with music. They need to staff better. No paper towels in ladies room either. I live locally and want to support a local business but i unfortunately will not be coming back. read more

The best place to come no matter what you're in the mood for. I love that they offer such a variety of foods! I've been dining there regularly for a few years now and I have never had something I didn't love! The atmosphere is down to earth with a touch of class. I love the new Whiskey menu especially since I'm not a Martini fan. If you're looking to dine in the dining area I would recommend that you ask for Pat, she always takes such good care of us even when they are super busy. read more

If I had to rate this place out of 10 I would give it a 100. I have to start of by saying I am a very picky person and rarely write reviews. I was compelled to write this because I have consistently received the best possible food and service from this establishment! It really is the best and I would eat there breakfast lunch and dinner if I could. The Ahi Tuna is amazing not to mention the calamari, the flat breads, the prime rib, the chicken picatta the baked brie is to die for. (I am making myself hungry again) The owners Dan and Brian could not be more hospitable I really can not say enough good things about the place we are treated like family. Tonight I dined at the Brige Inn. I can honestly say that this was one of the worst restaurants I have ever been to. I ordered a New York strip steak which I ordered medium well and it came out medium rare. Then when I sent it back instead of giving me a new correct steak, they just cooked the one I had. By doing this it then over cooked the baked potato to the point it wasn't even edible. In any good restaurant they would apologize and take the item off the menu. Not here, I got billed the full $26 for a poorly cut piece of undercooked steak. The waitress never even cleared our salad dishes from the table before dessert and then tried to push us to the martini lounge so they could use our table for incoming customers. I will NEVER EVER eat here again. If you are looking for a good experience, please go somewhere else. read more

We have been regulars at this restaurant for about 16 years. When it was The Pleasantville Inn with the previous owners, and the owners who have bought it within the last few years have made some great changes. It was good before but the food is expensive. We go there when we don't care about the price just want some delicious food.. Their Filet Oscar is my favorite.($26.99) The service is usually at a very relaxed pace. This is not place to go to to rush...it is a relaxing and friendly place. The co-owner is one of the chefs too. The chef's are fabulous chefs. Good people. We will go there as long as they are open. One of our favorite places. We do not go to the martini lounge but it is very popular and many times at capacity on weekends. The outdoor dining is nice also.It is great how many options they offer at this place. Their specials change weekly. Give it a shot and try it for yourself. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars as the servings could be larger for the money but it is quality food and I have never left hungry. read more

I usually only stop at The Bridge for drinks (bar service is good), but recently went for dinner. I have to agree with the previous posts that service is very slow. There was only one server working the entire dining room. The server was very friendly and attentive, but they should have more than one server for the entire dining room. The food is very good, but if you go, be prepared to spend at least an hour and a half for dinner. read more

My husband and I go to the Bridge Inn fairly often. We have never had a bad meal here and the staff is very friendly. We like that we can get anything from a beer and a burger to a martini and scallops. They also offer interesting vegetarian entrees if that's your thing, they offer small plate options as well. They have something for everyone. I will agree that, at times, there is a bit of a wait for the food in the dining room but we don't mind because we know we will be served a great, freshly made meal. If we want fast we will go to a pizza place. If we want something frozen and microwaved in a plastic pouch we will go to a chain restaurant (which is pretty much never). Have a drink, sit back, and enjoy your time out with each other! We often sit in the downstairs bar area but we also sit in the dining room occasionally as well. The soups are fantastic! They are fresh and always homemade and rotate on a seasonal basis. The corn and crab and the butternut squash with crab are my favorites. My husband loves the chili. I have had many items off the appetizer menu. They have all been good. Especially the tuna and the steak crostini. They have several good specials in the bar. Wing night is Monday, burger night is Wednesday. There is a good happy hour meal menu that ends at 6:00 which includes nice sized portions at a good price. Great for an early dinner after a long day at work when the last thing you want to do is cook. I have tried several scallop dishes here. They are delicious, never gummy, never overcooked. My husband's favorite is the bridge chicken. I'm too full for desert after my meal so I can't review them for you. I'll have to get my priorities straight and make it a point to try some. The bottled beer selection is good. Lately, they have many new and different beers to try. If Adam is working the bar he will give great recommendations if you are having a hard time deciding. He knows his beers :) If you like martinis, you will love the variety you will find here. When we go here with friends on the weekend we like to go upstairs to the martini bar to have another drink and listen to live music and chat after dinner. With warmer weather coming, I'm looking forward to fresh mojitos on the patio! The Bridge Inn is definitely one of our favorite local spots. read more

I have ridden by the Pleasantville Inn hundreds of times on my bike and finally went on date night with my wife tonight at the reccomendation of one of my cycling buddies - what a gem this place is! I am so thrilled that we found this spot. We did apps and martini's in the lounge and loved everything about the place, the drinks were killer (I like the house special Bridge-Inn-tini and the food was wonderful (we had the baked brie which was my wifes favorite, the ahi tuna which was awesome and the steak crostini which had a fantastic horseradiish sauce that I could eat by the spoonful! We concluded by sharing a raspberry-peach struessel which was a nice ending to our meal. I am looking forward to going back with friends...our new favorite date night spot for sure! Martiini room was really cozy and had cool music videos going behind a sheer curtain that added a very nice touch to this swanky and hip spot! Could easily put this place in NY or Philly and it would fit right in. Great staff with fantastic service! read more
