I came here for the first time and ordered a small black coffee and it's leaking all over me as I'm driving because the lids do not fit properly on the cups. Had to go home and change my shirt. I feel like if I'm paying $4 dollars for a small black coffee then it shouldn't do that. The Brewed Awakening Cafe was so pretty when it came to decor and ambience, but left a lot to be desired when it comes to their actual coffee. From the outside of the store it looks so cozy and chic, I really wanted to love my experience. I ordered a coffee from their specials menu that was West Side Story themed. My drink was called "the Sharks", and was an iced latte with red velvet cake cold foam. It looked amazing, as I mentioned the presentation was on point. The cafe itself has very cute decorations and a separate room for hanging out and chatting over coffee and it was really cool. However, the coffee itself was quite flavorless. It was a watery latte and I couldn't taste the cold foam at all. No notes of red velvet cake to be found, sadly. I wanted to love this spot, but I don't think I'll be back due to the lack of flavor and quality of the drinks. read more

Really nice place! This was my first time stopping by. I ordered a small hot pumpkin spice latte. The latte was really good and the service was great! I will say that I was a little surprised by the price of my drink. But I will definitely go back to try the other items they offer. Also, they have a nice lounge area attached for a ton more seating. Was looking for a new cafe to try and found this place in Pitman. Cute cafe. We got coffee and two almond croissants. Coffee was good. Croissants were okay, have definitely had much better. Love The Brewed Awakening! When you step inside you will feel the warmth of Pitman. Cozy, small town vibes! Everyone is very nice and there is a ton of seating and tables for anyone enjoying a coffee date or looking to get work done. One of the best cold brews in the area. Is $7 for a medium coffee pricey.. yeah maybe.. is it less expensive than some other coffee shops in the area.. yes! However, the brewed awakening has a point rewards system where you earn a point for every $1 spent, 50 points gets you $5. I treat myself maybe once a week and I've quickly earned $5 and was able to use it on a coffee. They also give you $5 birthday rewards! I have my points linked to my card so anytime I use it I can earn and use rewards! I definitely recommend stopping in and trying out one of the many specials that they are constantly updating. read more

Service was fine. But a small iced latte is $5.60??? The menu said small latte is $4.50 so I don't get it. I asked for it to be sweetened but that shouldn't be an extra charge.... it's says flavored syrup is $1.00 which is pricey but sugar isn't flavored syrup. The price you charge should be the same as the menu. Coffee tastes fine. read more

I met my long time friend in my own little town after considering the larger area coffee breweries but decided this would be worth a shot and to our surprise, it was perfect. The ambiance is trendy and modish yet revels in simplicity and function. The space is used wisely to create easy movement and flow through the adjacent rooms, one holds a few high top tables, a couple low tops, and the large visually appealing coffee bar with gentle lighting and warm shades that make you think, coffee. The next room evokes a need to take your sips while you lounge, socialize, and enjoy. This room's charm and wit are amusing and the coffee is great too. My daughter found a familiar book in the corner shelves, and I enjoyed a cappuccino on a Sunday afternoon surrounded by locals and out of towner's. I had the pleasure of seeing people we knew, which after a favorite movie of mine, I like to call "meet cutes" and that's just what it invites. The prices are a little high after paying nine dollars for a small cappuccino and a medium coffee, but as each shop claims their own distinct taste, you might find it's worth a mini splurge because it's what comes with it, that I believe makes the distinction. There are delightful pastries for purchase and a variety of hot and iced coffee and teas on the menu; flavors galore.
