We first heard about this place by visiting Dry Dock Brewing next door. We decided to take a beginner beer brewing class which was fantastic! Would highly highly recommend taking it if you want to get into home brewing! Since then we have brewed our own brown ale and are working on a blonde now! I stopped back in for questions and everyone was eager to help and get me the things I needed! They also are very open to answering questions over the phone and email, especially if you aren't close to them! They also have multiple "kits" for bottling, starting out, etc. That are great price and simple to purchase especially if you're just starting out! read more

This is an awesome brew shop! I drove down here after reading that they were one of the best home brewing shops around. They have a huge selection of ingredients and equipment for just about every aspect of the brewing process. The staff was very friendly and helpful with whatever I needed. I appreciated that they had local ingredients as well as other well known brands. The store is connected to Dry Dock Brewing and when the mask requirement is no longer in effect you would be able to buy a beer and drink it while shopping in the store... that's pretty cool! This store is a little far from my house, but I will definitely come back when I'm in the area! The BF decided that he wanted to try his hand at home-brewing. Being the beer fan girl that I am, I was def supportive of this new hobby! So, seeking out some additional supplies for this endeavour we made our way to The Brew Hut. The staff here is ridiculously knowledable about brewing! I mean after all, they all brew themselves, so they should be. They're always super friendly and helpful too! They feature a brew (monthly I think) that they offer all the supplies at a discount. Such a great way to encourage people to try new brewing up something new. Plus they even have workshops/classes! Oh did I mention they have homebrew contests too? Yeah there's that. As if The Brew Hut couldn't get any better, it shares space with Dry Dock Brewing! So you can grab a beer while you're picking up supplies to brew your own. We had the best time learning how to make mozzarella cheese in a two hour class. The Brew Hut has absolutely figured out how to be the catalyst for fun and education. The instructor, Mark, is funny and very welcoming and has a lot of knowledge about all kinds of cheese. Mark first demonstrated how to make Mozzarella and then shared a snack using it with tomato and basil. We then got to make our own in groups of four. The directions were simple and easy to follow and Mark was great at checking in and giving tips that would assure success. The brewery/bar was right next to the amazing kitchen and you were able to get a beer while in class. Afterwards, you get to take a good amount of cheese home and they even offered ice packs if you had a long drive or weren't going home immediately. Most, if not everyone, purchased materials from the attached brew shop to try on their own at home. I have been to brew stores across the country and I think this is one of the best local stores anywhere. While not particularly large, this place has everything you need from novice to expert. The staff are extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate. I have been brewing for close to 20 years now so I don't often need help, but they were there for some great technical advice on my current brew set up. On my last visit, I had an opportunity to watch one of the staff members walk novice brewer through the process. They spent the time to make sure they knew they were doing and had a good foundation to start. But they also made sure that they took a break asked if I needed help. I appreciated the level of customer service all around. So if you need brew supplies in Denver, this is the place to go. It doesn't hurt that they're next to drydock brewing. read more

My husband got me a wine making set from The Brew Hut for Christmas, and we went back to pick up some extra materials. He said they were fantastic in helping him get everything that he needed, there were just a couple more things that I *wanted*. They have soooo much stuff. You want to make wine, beer, soda, or even cheese.....they have everything you need. The beer room is crazy, and has a ton of stuff in it (I honestly don't even know what it all is), and they have a great selection of grape juice to choose from. You name the varietal, they've got it. And it's from all over the world. Want Riesling from the Mosel Valley? Done. Australian Shiraz? Done. Or something fun like Raspberry Dragon Fruit White Shiraz? Done! My first batch is fermenting now, and should be ready in a few more weeks. It's Pomegranate Zinfandel, sounds delicious! read more

On one of my recent trips to Dry Dock the Duke was present so I join along for a shopping trp and quick beer brewing lesson from him at the Brew Hut. Who better then the Duke to get a crash course in home brewing from?? This is located literally 1/2 a wall away. They have EVERYTHING you could possibly need to brew beer, wine and even make cheese! I could see where this could turn into a dangerous place if you're into that. All sorts of grains, yeasts, gizmos and gadgets abound. Every corner and wall filled with a contrainer or a strainer and even bottle caps for your latest brewing project storage. Everyone seemed really friendly and helpful . I do know a few other home brewers who frequent, but I was never along for the ride before. It's an interesting place and I enjoyed my visit. May just have to go look around a bit more and see if I want to start making my own wine or perhaps a bit of formage. read more

If you brew or are looking to get into brewing, The Brew Hut is your place! It has the largest selection of beer & wine making supplies in the Denver area, and possibly all of Colorado. The staff is knowledgeable and ready to help when needed. Big bonus, they are connected to Dry Dock Brewing, one of the most lauded breweries in the state. You can buy a beer at Dry Dock & then sip while you shop, does it get any better than that??? Their selection of grains is very complete. Most any US, German, Belgian, or English grain you could want can be had here. Their yeast selection is expansive as well. I really don't think you could make a beer that would call for a grain or yeast that couldn't be bought or closely substituted by what they have TBH. They also have a complete selection of brewing, bottling, kegging hardware. Honestly, it may be a little pricier than what you'll find online, but remember, you're buying local, you're not paying shipping, and you're not waiting for shipping. If you factor that in, it's almost a wash vs online shopping. I've been going to TBH since the early 2000's and they've never let me down. I came here and learned how to make fresh mozzarella cheese and I am SO INSPIRED to make more cheese! It was so much fun, so affordable and the cheese is amazing! They have all of the supplies you need to go make some cheese at home and the prices are VERY reasonable. About three years ago I started to learn how to make beer. My first job in the process was squishing the bottle caps on but now I get to pick out flavors and grains and everything. My favorite place to buy beer supplies is The Brew Hut. The place is quite amazing for several reason and I'm gonna tell you what they are! 1. It's hooked to Dry Dock so you can grab a beer and drink it while shopping for your own beer supplies. 2. They have pretty much everything you could ever need for beer, wine, cider and cheese making. Yep, cheese!! This includes equipment and perishables supplies. 3. They create clone kits for purchase of super popular beers. The kits have absolutely everything you need ingredient wise. Just add water, bottles and caps. 4. Their beer of the month kit is discounted! Woot! 5. Every single person who works there is laid back, loves their job and makes beer. Seriously, talk about a wealth of knowledge. I've gone in before and said I want to make a spicy chocolate pumpkin thing and they are all about trying to help your get the right ingredients. 6. They have classes. Full mash classes, fundamentals classes, wine making classes, cheese making classes, even TIPs classes. 7. Once you start making your own brew, they have a homebrewers night every other month. All sorts of folks bring in their own creations and you get to sip and talk shop. My husband and I attended a motzerella cheese making class and had a wonderful time. The instructor was knowledgeable, fun and very helpful throughout the process. He first made the cheese explaining the step by step process and briefly went over the history of motzerella. Following his instruction we were served fresh motzerella with olive oil, basil and tomato which was delicious! A few moments later we broke into small group and made our own batch to take home. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. We had a great time and learned a skill we cant wait to try at home. read more

This place is awesome! The staff are incredibly knowledgeable. They will go out of their way to help everyone who enters the store. They are happy to answer questions and help new brewers, which was how I became a more experienced brewer. To have a place that you can call or walk into willing to help you, give advice, recommend products, and just talk shop is so critical for a starting homebrewer. Jeff (the manager), Nick, and Duane have been especially helpful every time I've been in. The product selection is outstanding. If there's a brewing supply the Brew Hut doesn't have (very unlikely), they can likely do a special order to get it in. The grains are fresh, the equipment is quality, and the staff will even help you with figuring out exactly what you need. I once walked in and basically said "I need a way to hook this up to this." Jeff took fifteen minutes to custom-build me the plumbing I needed to hook up my equipment to the sink. The classes here are awesome. Mark is very knowledgeable and professional, yet the classes are really fun. They're also a great way to connect with others who share your interests. Overall, the Brew Hut is what you want in a brew supply store. I've gone from new brewer to brewing twice a week, all with parts, supplies, and knowledge gained from the Brew Hut. We took the cheese making class with Duane and he was awesome! Easy to follow and Duane showed everyone the easy of making fresh butter, mozzarella and gave us a tip on how to make buratta as well! All the items for the cheese class were being sold to participants at a discount so was we opted to purchase a cheese making kit so we could make cheese at home as well! Also was awesome to have Dry Dock brewery in the same space so we enjoyed several flights of tasty brew during the class. read more

This place is a store supply for those that like to make their own beer, wine, and cheese. Their prices at affordable. They offer different classes on how to make your own beer, wine, and cheese. We did attend a class to learn how to make fresh mozzarella cheese. The class was very interactive, as the instructors were allowing questions and providing plenty of answers and different options. Very knowledgeable. The instructors were very nice and helpful. The main instructor first made cheese himself and let us taste it, really delicious. Next, the instructor allowed the attendants to do hands-on experience. So two teams were working on preparing cheese. The instructors were around to guide us all through the process and making sure we were following the proper steps. They also gave us 10% discount on supplies, so we all took advantage of the offer, and got some cookware as well as cheese making supplies. It's been a while since I was brewing regularly, and I discovered the Brew Hut after moving to Southeast Denver. Now that I'm in a position to resume brewing consistently, I'm very glad to have found this store. It's a big warehouse that shares space with Dry Dock Brewing Co., which means you can wander in and grab a pint to enjoy while you gather your supplies. It operates under the assumption that the patrons know what they're doing there and how to find what they need, so the staff generally lets you have free reign of the place, but are always eager to help when you ask. The whole atmosphere is friendly and relaxed and comfortable, in the way that all specialty stores that draw a very specific demographic are. It actually reminds me alot of a comic book shop in this respect. Although I haven't compared, it seems to me that I spend less money here than I have at other brew supply stores. I feel as if I'm saving between $5-10 per batch. Another bonus is that everything you need is here in the store, so I haven't ever had to wait for something to be ordered. If you're a brewer, winemaker, or aspire to be, this is the place for you. Cheers! read more

All five stars...mine and from nearly everyone else...they're all true. This place is the one-stop-shop for all things homebrew, whether you're brewing your first beer or are a seasoned pro. Plus you can drink Dry Dock right next door! And they're often a drop-off point for nearly every homebrew competition on the Front Range. Seriously though, The Brew Hut is pretty much all you need. They have a massive selection of malts and hops to make nearly anything you want, and the layout is intuitive. Forgot something in your system or need a random/obscure piece of equipment? They likely have it for you, and for a reasonable price. Plus you can get monthly coupons for signing up to their email list. But the real value here is the staff. Friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Can't find something or have a question about brewing? They're more than happy to help. And if they don't know, they know a resource that will. All of these things make The Brew Hut my one and only homebrew stop. This place is like the Ace Hardware of homebrew shops. They have everything you could ever want and the staff is super friendly and knowledgeable. I think they have over 20 different styles and sizes of beer bottles and growlers - I found what I needed and was on my way lickity split. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful (probably because they're allowed to drink beer while they work ;)). If you go in, ask for Duane (aka: The Dude). He's extremely passionate about his brewing hobby and he won't give you the lame "you need to buy this this" salesman pitch. I've even called in the middle of brewing with a question and they're always glad to help. Plus, you can go next door to Dry Dock, buy a beer and drink it while you're shopping for brewing supplies. The guys at the Brew Hut gave me some advice on how to get started, showed me a great book and sold me all the tools I need to start making alcoholic beverages in my own basement. Pretty cool, huh? If Amendment 21 ever gets reinstated, I'm so ready. They have all sorts of kits and products for do-it-yourself booze at the Brew Hut. I even saw one for homemade absinthe. They've got everything you'd ever need for brewing your own beer or wine. A huge selection of malt, a rather large selection of hops & yeast, and of course the staff & collective knowledge to help you complete any brewing project. They've also got a wide variety of boxed ingredient kits for beginners -- everything is pre-packaged and ready to go. I've made three batches using these kits, and all the beers have come out fantastic. If you're looking to get introduced to homebrewing, drop in and ask for some help from any member of the experienced staff. They've got all the ingredients and all the equipment you could possibly need. (could partly be because Dry Dock brewery is right next door) This has got to be one of the most awesome places for a wine and or beer lover in the entire Denver metro...
