This is one of the best spots to look for a good wine. Almost half of the store is filled with wine selections from affordable and high end prices. Then you've got your hard liquors, which I love to browse for all the cool and unique bottles. Everything is organized and easy to find with aisle labels and an easy layout. The staff are helpful and know a lot about their selection. I don't know much about wine and the gentleman working lead me to some great options for what I was looking for. What is there not to like about Chambers Liquors? Sure, one could go anywhere for vodka or beer or whiskey but its the wine selection that brings me out away from home. I am a big fan of supporting local business and that includes the wineries. The Colorado wine section is bountiful! St. Kathryn's, Blue Mountain Vineyards, Ballisteri....but Chambers is the only place I can find Cottonwood Cellars. So when I shop here, I buy all they have, especially the White Pinot Noir. It is by far the best Pinot ever! It must be most popular too because there were only two bottles compared to the cases available of everything else. The store is always clean and is very well organized. I can find product easily and at decent prices. The staff is also kind and helpful (Who offers to help take my purchase to my car for me??? My go to for specialty items and last minute gifts! They truly have the best selection in Aurora and in Colorado. Amazing affordable prices. Also amazing customer service! Every time I go there I feel like at least three or five employees offered to help me. I recently went in to purchase AD laws or Makers 46 and every employee was super helpful. Unfortunately I didn't realize that Covid also affected glass and so many liquor stores are challenged with getting inventory for whiskey and even wine! I went in to purchase board gift items for work and several of the staff members were very helpful and helping me to select the right gift for the right person. I often stop by this liquor store to purchase little alcohol shooters. They have the best selection and affordable prices! I'm from Hawaii so I often stop by to pick up different shooters to make a shooter lei for birthdays and special locations. read more

Decent prices but shockingly bad customer service and should be avoided. The last straw was an experience with an extremely rude manager named Brian who refused to honor a very straight forward email promotion (15% off all wine and liquor)... he lied and claimed the promotion didn't include the bottle i was purchasing (completely made up) and walked away from me saying "take it or leave it." I recently ordered some beer for delivery. I asked for a total on the phone and was quoted $87 and some change. When the charge came through on delivery day the total was $107 and change. I called the store to ask about the discrepancy and they basically said "oops!". They offered to cancel the order but at that point I had no time left to make other arrangements. I didn't question the price at the time because it seemed to be about right base on the typical price for what I ordered plus tax and delivery. Turns out they charge full price on product ordered for delivery instead of the price you'd pay if you walked into the store. This wasn't mentioned on the website or when I ordered. In reality this made the shipping fee for my order about $30 on about $70 of alcohol. Tough to say whether this was a mistake or deceptive but to me the right thing to do would have been to honor the price I was quoted. On the positive side the order showed up on time. Moral of the story: If you put in an order for delivery be sure to make them clarify the price they give you over the phone. read more

Does it make me sound like an alacholic saying I love having this place so close to me? In my area I have found the best prices here by far. They have a great selection, I spent an hour in here the last time just looking around at all the stuff they have. They have great deals as well, a Manager's big deal, a buyer's cub which is basically a card you register for and you get a discount and coupons!!! Now who doesn't love a coupon?!?! One of the things I like the most is the Chilled Wine Room. Lots and lots of bottles of already chilled wine, it's a little slice of paradise. Chambers Wine & Liquor is Aurora's largest liquor store with over 15,000 square feet and 8,000 different products to choose from. For me, they have always had what I was looking for so it's tops on my list. They have always been helpful when asked and are speedy to get you in and out of there even with the busy holiday season. read more

My "go to" place for most of my wine, liquor & beer purchases. Occasionally I will stop in at other smaller places that are closer to where I am headed, but for most of my purchases Chambers Wines & Liquors is convenient, very well-stocked, prices are excellent with good sales (get on their newsletter mailing list for additional specials!), and their customer service is tops. This is seriously my favorite liquor store in Aurora. The staff is always friendly and willing to offer recommendations; it is very clean; and they have a huuuge selection of beer, wine, and liquor. They are always having a sale each week and they have a cool rewards program. Additionally, if you follow them on Facebook they are always having awesome give aways that range from booze to gift cards. My favorite was the one they did for Cinco De Mayo. If you won the give away, you would get your height in Dos Equis 12 packs. I have other liquor stores closer to me, but if I am interested in trying something new I head here. read more

They're there Russian vodkas, just allowed into the states? Oh yeah Colorado made meads? You betcha Whipahol? Only about 6 flavors Hard cider? Great selection Great customer service? Most definitely Good prices? Yes, yes and yes! So what is there not to like? Nothing. Well, there was that one time that their roof fell in during the big March blizzard of 2003, but we can't hold that against them. I was so happy that they rebuilt and came back better than ever. Found this store while on a search for copper mugs for my Mom's birthday. I called and they were super helpful and outlined the various sizes they carry and the pricing. When I came in to the shop, I was blown away at its size. I immediately found the copper mugs and sales staff were very helpful in getting them from the glass case for me. The 2 pack is the best deal ($42) and the mugs are huge. I also liked how the handles were wider for easier holding. The cooler section has coolers and ciders that I've never heard of and prices are comparable to other shops. I slowly meandered around to find a porter beer for my husband and immediately a sales staff was right there, offering assistance. This shop is great, convenient, and has amazing staff. When I moved to Aurora about a year ago, this happened to be the liquor store nearest my new house, so I didn't think of it as anything special. But over the last few months, I've had a couple of experiences that have totally changed my mind. First, I was looking for a bottle of sherry to cook with. When I asked where I could find it, the guy helping me walked over to the sherries with me, asked what I'd be cooking with it, and helped me pick out the type that would work best for my dish. Another time, my boyfriend brought in the name of a bottle of wine he wanted to try, and one of the employees helped him find it without any trouble - he was obviously knowledgeable about wines. I'd say these are good examples of what it's like to shop here. You can run in and grab a case of beer, or ask a more complicated question and either way you'll leave happy. read more

Gave me a frozen keg, and the beer came out looking like complete water. I went back to them with it, they blamed me, so I said "whatever" and exchanged for another one. They then gave me a keg that was for sure no more than half full. I will not be returning there for further keg needs. One thing I really like is that you can choose your own six pack from a pretty large selection of single beers in the cooler. I suppose thats kinda true of anywhere if you just toss six beers in a basket but they have the six pack sleeves there for you. A nice little touch. Best liquor store for selection, price, rewards and specials. They will place specialty orders, and also carry a great selection of kegs both domestic and craft, in multiple sizes. This store carries my favorite craft beer, Old Rasputin, which is somewhat hard to find among most liquor stores. Additionally they have ordered, and continued to carry, some of my favorite whiskeys and liquors. The rewards program is pretty much like getting 10% back on purchases, as well as promotions that the store puts up each week, tastings from vendors, and holiday events. The staff here has always been very helpful and friendly, not only helping to find liquors and beers, but also giving some good advice that shows they really do know their stuff. Plenty of times I have asked one of their staff for an opinion, and rather than giving me a line of bull, they'll tell me if they don't know, or if there is another employee who is better than them to give advice. Anyone in the know, knows that you can get great wines in the $16 - $20 range, if, and I stress IF, you wait for a sale, and a few times a year, Chambers has an outgragous sale. Since the Holidays sneaked up this year, not to mention stinky weather, I decided to stay local for my wine purchases -- Luckily it coincided with one of Chamber's Great Sale, and I was able to get a favorite wine for about $6 less a bottle -- hey, I saved $72 bucks on the case -- that's no joke !!! So 4 Stars for great sales, and plenty of stock ; minus 1 Star for being in Aurora ( Land of 8.1 Tax) which eats up the savings. Hey, that's an extra $2 per bottle !! Times are tough !!! read more

The rewards program is ok, but don't get credit for sale items and they seem to mark up everything in the store, and then put it on sale. A store this size really needs to take AMEX though, I would shop a lot more if they did AMEX. Oh, and you need to do a better job with your emails. You advertise New Belgium as the beer of the month, $1.49 off all 6 packs, yet when I'm checking out with nearly $300 of product tonight, I notice the discount didn't show up and all they said was that selection wasn't eligible for the discount. after coming to colorado, i became obsessed with beer. especially rare, hard to find imports. i searched around for big liquor stores that would carry a wide variety and had found davidsons (in highlands ranch) and total beverage (thornton). considering both of these places are about 40 minutes from where i live, it was quite a drive. then, they didnt even have the more microbrews (hard to find) that i like. i ended finding this chambers wine and liquor right in aurora. it is a very decent sized store that always has massive business. now since i dont drink wine, i cant comment on the selection although it looks quite extensive. however, the beer. oh the beeeeer!!! i found some rarities there from some microbrews local and national. they have some of the more rare New Belgium beers. but they have Avery, Dogfish head, Russian River Brewing, and more. as matter of fact. i found 2 russian river brews i couldnt find at the other 2 major stores. one of them was so hard to find, the clerk said the whole state of colorado only got like 6 cases, and they got one. AWESOME! they have glasses, and beer paraphanalia and its always a treat to see what they have in stock. they even carry the new dry dock brewing beer they just bottled. if youre looking for a great selection of beer (and belgians) check out this place! ive also acquired some hard alcohol here too and the selection is still plentiful read more

Yes, it's an amazing selection of beer and reasonably-priced wines (not to mention an impressive array of wines) but by far it's the staff here. They are actually glad to see you and have fun working here. (Okay I don't know if they actually "have fun" working there but they are super pleasant, look you in the eye, take a bit of time with you and say "thank you" before you leave). That counts for a lot in my book. That's why I keep going back. This has been my go-to store since I was old enough to walk proudly to the counter and make a purchase. Whether wine, beer or liquor -- the variety is unmatched on this side of town. As the other reviewers have noted, their wine selection is plentiful and offers a good balance of the well-knowns and rare finds. The staff are trustworthy and can always offer solid advice to things like "I need a wine that's less than $20 but seems like more so that I can take it to my boss' house for dinner" or "I was lucky enough to try Joseph Phelps Cab and love it, but I need the $30 version" But beyond wine, there's also aisles and aisles of the hard stuff. From organic vodkas to rums that you used to have to buy a plane ticket for to dozens of tequilas that don't include the name Jose. I also like the honesty and inside track that the staff sometimes offer. Once I was buying a bottle of unique vodka, and the guy told me that the distributor was raising the price to nearly double so I might want to stock up. That could have been a gimic to sell more, except that he then showed me a competitor brand that he thought I'd like just as well for less money. Weeks later and sure enough, the first brand I chose raised their price in all the stores. So wine and liquor are all well and good, but my husband is purely a beer guy -- no problem, this place carries not only some cool microbrews but also a fun selection of international beers that usually take a little hunting.
