They've got a pretty good selection of Colorado micro brews especially considering that it's a smaller place, and they tend to have some good seasonal ones. They don't have a lot of wines, but they do have refrigerated champagne ready to go, including a $4 bottle. Not kidding. The only boxed wine I've seen there is Franzia, and I don't think they have that refrigerated. But if you're buying a box of Franzia, as Matt P. would say, "How about if you just give me $5 and I'll kick you in the nuts? It's the same thing."

I was in a desperate search for Beaujolais Nouveau 2009 (if you know what that is, you're awesome)…read moreto satisfy my French lust and decided to stop by Alameda Liquor Mart. What a great decision! This store is friendly and clean. And most importantly, stuffed with a great selection of wines and beers. As I walked in, what do you know, there is a display for Beaujolais Nouveau 2009. Fantastic! Definitely a new favorite liquor store. I also found some Big Sky Powder Hound and Shipyard Pumpkinhead straggling from the Halloween season. Score! I love me some good microbrews. If you live on this side of town, check Alameda Liquor Mart out. Really awesome store! A driving tip: If you're driving west on Alameda, turn south on Dayton and enter the parking lot from behind the Burger King.

Where the problem lies is after purchasing our items we loaded up in the car after taking a photo of a liquor we have been searing for for months and the owner stumbled out (seemingly drunk) and was taking photos and accusing us of stealing form the store. We offered to show him our items and receipts to which his reply was "fu*k you fu*king bit*c". I was a scary experience as he was slurring, spitting and was almost in the window of our car yelling at us for something that was untrue.

They offered the same bottle but no glasses (obviously a less expense item) for the same price I already prepaid with my credit card. I countered with an item that was also on my ordert that was slightly more expensive. They said no. I canceled my order and created a new order (as was discussed with a store representative]. As I was picking up my order at the store, I asked if they would get it ready shortly after I placed my revised order online. After roughly 10 minutes I called the store as there online portal was still showing the store has yet to recieve my order. They informed me they had recieved my revised order shortly after it was placed. At this tiem I was informed that another item was not in stiock - this item was on the original order. I was not informed on the first call and only when I called to check the status of my revised order was I informed another item was not in stock. Had to cancel this order as well. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AND NOT WANTING TO DO WHATS BEST FOR THE CUSTOMER. OKAY FOR ME TO PURCHASE SOMETHING OF LESSER VALUE FOR THE SAME PRICE, BUT THEY WERE UNWILLING TO TO DO THE SAME.

MUST VISIT SPIRIT DESTINATION IN DENVER!!!!!…read more I don't leave many Yelp reviews, if any, but felt compelled to do one after my visit here. This is, hands down, one of the better stores I have ever been in from a spirit point of view. Whiskey is my jam, but the allocations that were out across the board were stunning tbh. I was in town for a wedding and randomly decided to drop in. Every employee was wonderful - experienced and friendly. I had a great whiskey convo with a gentleman with an epic mustache and each employee was just as friendly and knowledgable as the last. Having been collecting for years now, I try to gravitate towards single barrel selections - a great way to get a twist on a known taste/profile. I was guided towards pick, after pick, after pick. I ended up walking away with 4 store picks - and they are all delicious (2 of which are arguably the best of that brand I've ever had). Sufficient to say I will be back, I will most likely prioritize a stop next time I'm in Denver (I'm based in Chicago). I cannot recommend this place enough in terms of product and overall experience in the store. I've had my fair share of barrel picks and given the quality and consistency of the ones I've had from there, I can tell their pick team/process is absolutely top tier.
