Came here for a kids class and had an absolute blast. It was $64 for Halloween cookie class with you and your child. They have a bar open that you can order drinks. One thing I didn't expect was its long 2.5 hrs. I wish they offered charcuterie or something that you can order to Nosh on. We made chocolate chip cookies first that we made spiders on. Next we made Royal Icing that was a bit tough to make and stiff. After we made cookie cut outs and baked. My only gripe is I wish they maybe did more of a soft icing and some toppings like sprinkles because the royal icing was hard to do any type of nice decoration on. Overall we left with a ton of cookies made and 2 big rolls of sugar cookie dough and chocolate chip cookie dough to Take home. I wish they offered more kids classes. Noting that this review is strictly for the "Bar" aspect of Create (though we have every intention of partaking in the "Kitchen" piece once we find a reliable babysitter!). My husband and I came here on a Saturday afternoon to grab some old fashioneds at the bar - we were the only patrons there so service was very quick. Chatted a bunch with the bartender who was very personable. Our drinks were perfectly made and overall, we had a really lovely time. The space was well designed, open and had a nice feel. The water was fruit infused which was a nice touch. As mentioned, we'll absolutely be coming back for a cooking class, but probably for another drink, too! read more

Food was excellent and is something you can prepare at home! Sometimes hard to hear the Chef Instructor bc the kitchen is open to the marketplace (no walls) and there can be alot of outside noise. Bartender left alot to be desired, however. We came early for Happy Hour and had to work pretty hard to get service. Meal came with a complimentary beer/wine and they did not offer it - we had to ask for it and the bartender seemed annoyed. This review is for the Create Bar. I can't speak for the cooking classes although they sound like they're lots of fun. (I'd especially like to get my son into one of the kid's classes, but their waiting lists are long!) We visited the bar on a snowy Saturday night and it was hopping with people having drinks and also those attending classes. The place had a great vibe going. The bartender was a really cool guy too. I had a glass of chardonnay and my husband had an "adult" hot chocolate with a shot of bourbon. Overall, we had a very pleasant time. Such a great group experience. We have a newly forming work team and we all went out to cook and talk and have some fun together after a long day of work stuff. Create, located in the Stanley Marketplace, has a fantastic setup with high energy chef/mentor/guides to help you find to fun and work in cooking. Tables were set for us. Ingredients set out and demonstrations on safety and preparation were fun and thorough. We had fondue, with bread and fruits. Pan seared salmon with roasted potatoes and cauliflower and molten lava cake. They had a solid white and red wine pairing to go with dinner. Cooking in a group was fun! Shared experience. Lots of stories and a glass of wine helped to lighten everyone up and drag us out of work mode into fun mode. Fresh ingredients. Lively atmosphere Fun and friendly staff. First attended Create in July 2022. I was attending their Bourbon and Bites class for my birthday. At the time, Alex was our chef and it was something like chicken skewers and sweet potato bruschetta. Alex was very personable! Since then, I have been in several times over. What I love about Create is the diversity of classes in terms of cuisine and then apps vs full meals. The environment is also very approachable with kind staff including Alex and Rasha. Because cooking classes can be a little pricey, its not always possible. Lucky for you, Create has a full bar with a lovely happy hour. Since it's located in the food hall, there is also the opportunity to order from a restaurant in the Stanley Marketplace and eat it while you enjoy hand crafted cocktails from the bar. This was a great date night. We signed up for the Italy night class a few months back and were nervous about going as covid cases climbed. Upon arrival, we were seated distanced from the other class (10 people total) and reminded to wear our masks at all times when not actively eating/taking a drink. Additionally each couple had their own kitchen area and prepped their own individual meal. The bartenders were offering paired wines with our class (2 drinks included). I'm currently expecting so they happily made me up a mocktail instead! Our instructor Andrew started with some chopping skills demonstrations as well as our dessert torte so it could bake and then got us going cooking our appetizer. We made mussels in a red sauce - very easy to follow and a huge portion for each of us. After enjoying our appetizer, we started cooking our mushroom risotto. Andrew made sure to do rounds checking in on each kitchen and offering tips. The bartenders were also super engaging - checking in on us while cooking and asking us how things turned out. Again the risotto portion was huge - we had to bring home leftovers. Next Andrew served up our chocolate torte with strawberries, and it was delicious! Such a prefect class to do with a significant other or friend. Regardless if you have minimal cooking skills or are an experienced chef I promise you will learn something new and have a blast! We did the "Tuscany brunch" with Chef Anthony. We made 3 dishes: eggs in purgatory with stove top toasted bread, orange ricotta pancakes and zeppole with creme anglaise. We essentially prepared one dish at a time and eat each course after we prepared it. The class took about 3 hours including eating. They also had all you can drink mimosas and sangria which I think is an added bonus for most people but I would probably have preferred to pay a bit less and not have the alcohol (or at least have the option). Most of the ingredients are measured out so it is mostly just the actual cooking part that you do and some veggie chopping. The chef demonstrates step by step which is helpful. The creme anglaise we made as a group which was also nice. We were not even close to being able to eat all we made but were able to take home leftovers which I really appreciated (I hate wasting food). I love that they are offering LIVE virtual class during COVID with "kits" that include all the required ingredients + a libation. They've mastered the online format and the entire process was very simple. We selected the "Paella Night"class from their website to register and day of, we did curbside pickup of the Kit. Once we joined the class, there were 15 other participants so we opted to keep our camera off but others had theirs on. We were able to ask questions live via audio and chat. It was such a fun way to learn how to make this Spanish dish in the comfort of our home.  I'm already planning to sign-up for another class! read more

We had the pleasure of cooking with chefs Ras and Diego on opening night. Our group of 14 was treated to tapas (sautéd shrimp, crustini, chicken skewers, churros and more), with perfectly paired wine and a signature cocktail. Our group included one vegetarian and one gluten free diner, and the chefs were easily able to accommodate them both. The space was perfect for a group outing: each cooktop can comfortably accommodate 6-7 people and each course is enjoyed at one of the large community tables. There is a full service bar with plenty of seating for those that just want a glass of wine and watch a class in progress. The chefs showed us proper safety techniques, along with the fundamentals of dicing, chopping, sautéing, and so on. This is not a cooking demo! You will prepare your own food, so come rto get your hands dirty as it is very much hands on. Each station has all the tools you will need to prepare your food: knives, pots, pans, whisks, spoons, and lots of other gadgets you never knew you needed. The chefs showed us proper plating techniques, and it really felt and tasted like we were eating a restaurant quality meal. Chefs Ras and Diego have developed a great concept with Create Cooking School, and it's an amazing addition to the Stanley marketplace. Their passion for cooking and teaching is contagious, and learning to cook with them was so much fun. It's a relaxed and welcoming setting with all the gadgets and guidance of a professional chef. I just took the Bistro cooking class in person last night, and it was wonderful! There is a mask mandate right now, so we wore masks when we weren't eating or drinking. The cooking spaces were well spaced out, as were the dining areas. My friend and I learned how to make mussels, petite filet, and creme brulee, and they were all better than what I have had in restaurants. I love the owners and instructors, and they make it very fun and easy.
