Took the "My Big Fat Greek Party" class last night where we made a wide variety of delicious Greek food that I likely would have never tried to make at home. Chef Tony was awesome and very knowledgeable, and the class as a whole was very friendly and communal. The food was delicious and we were able to take home leftovers! Will definitely try another class in the future.

I have taken a few classes at The Seasoned Chef and every time has been so much fun! The chefs are very knowledgeable and you can really tell that they love what they do. I don't just learn how to make food, I learn about where it comes from and many times I'll learn new things about different cultures. I enjoy taking these classes with friends and strangers. It's really neat getting to know people through cooking in the kitchen. I highly recommend taking some of these well planned out cooking classes. I just went to the Tacos, Tostadas, and Anejo. I ate so much food!! It was amazing, and the tequila pairing was quite a treat.

For our first big outing since receiving our Covid vaccinations, this was a winner. I don't know if it was Chef Andy Floyd's bubbly personality or the delicious ginger peach mule, but this was the most fun I've had making my own food in a very long time. Not only was the environment fun and highly engaging, the food was delicious! Chef Andy was on hand to answer any questions and the rest of the staff was top notch as well. This is a fun date night with your partner or sign up for the kids camp classes over the summer!

What a fun date night with my husband! This is the best place to learn how to cook amazing recipes, tips, and basics. The recipes are easy to follow and delicious. The chef and staff guide and helps you during the class. It was an amazing experience!

I returned for the Pressure Cooker class and it was as fun and educational as my first classes in my previous review! The menu included: - Lamb Osso Busco - Korean Short Ribs - Quick Chicken Stock - Wild Mushroom and Truffle Risotto - Three Bean Soup - Pumpkin and Ginger Cheesecake The Korean short ribs were the most tender and best tasting short ribs I've ever tasted in my life! The owner/instructor, Chef Dan, was SUPER knowledgeable and gave great tips to apply at home. I'll definitely be back!

I recently had the pleasure of being gifted the class of Basic Skills Every Cook Should Know which is a 2 day class over the course of 2 weeks. I was a bit nervous attending the class on my own, but I quickly relaxed and got into the class. Chef Dan has done a great job of putting together a crash course for home cooks who are looking to learn technique and the basics of good cooking. All of our dishes tasted wonderful and were fun to learn about and make. I truly learned some great lessons and am eager to continue practicing them. I love that Chef Dan encourages taking pictures and video too (because I know the videos are going to help me remember all the details!) Also, you work in groups together learning as much technique as possible. If you work on cutting skills the 1st week, you'll move to something else the 2nd week. I wasn't sure what to expect when it came to that, but it ended up working out in the end because I definitely learned a lot. Especially when I get scolded for my poor skills and have to take more mental notes! I honestly wish the class could go longer than 2 nights! I liked the class so much, I'm planning to attend additional classes! Oh, and I even bought the cookbook to use at home while I work on practicing. Please keep adding new courses for eager beavers such as myself! Thank you so much for a great learning experience! I highly recommend checking out the class schedule and trying this place out! To good food, I'll always say cheers!

We took the couples Italian Wine Night course at the Seasoned chef and really enjoyed it! They start out by giving you an apron, and having you sign up as a couple for a course to make. For example, we were assigned to making the antipasti course for the group with one other couple. Our chef, Donna, then went through each recipe verbally step by step with the whole class, discussing techniques and the steps involved. We felt that this was counterproductive because the amount of information was overwhelming, when you didn't have a visual or hands on experience to pair it with. (I learn by seeing and doing, and just throwing information out there felt like a major time waste) We thought the structure of the class could've used a bit of work. After the whirlwind explanation, Donna just released all of us to the kitchen to start using the recipes to work on our individual dishes. The chef and one other staff member were walking around to answer questions and provide help as needed, and our chef would periodically stop everyone to demonstrate different techniques or processes as problems or questions arose. However, with us being inexperienced chefs and little direction or organization, it started to feel a bit messy. At times it was chaotic with over a dozen strangers in the same kitchen space reaching over each other, asking to borrow/share equipment and cooking/prep spaces and trying to figure things out as they went. Because of this structure, it was disappointing to only really learn how to make one course that you were assigned to while everyone else worked on their part. We got to learn how to make pasta and roll it out into ravioli, as well as which wines pair well with specific courses. The course was scheduled to end at 9:30, but because the class was less structured we did not start eating until 10:30, which was a little rough! In the end, we learned about a lot of new dishes, a few new techniques, and got to enjoy a very yummy gourmet meal with some new friends. Donna was very nice and offered a lot of insight and tips on the different dishes. One positive to the lack of structure was that the whole process was very collaborative and you felt a special bond with all the other people you worked with! In the end we walked out full and happy and overall had a fabulous date night.

I received a couples cooking class for Christmas, we went to Chef Devin's middle eastern night, and WOW! We had an amazing time from start to finish! Devin was a great chef and teacher, and his passion is obvious to all! The food was fun to prepare, and delicious! I don't have much experience with the spices and flavors, but left feeling inspired to branch out! We will be back, and plan on bringing friends and family when we do!! Thank you for an amazing experience!!

Two people per station they prep all the ingredients and it's really beginner friendly without any culinary background. Cook St is really brave on the variety of options on world cuisines. Check their calendar they offer French, Mediterranean, Asian, knife skills, and professional programs. My favorite recipe was the 'Khao Soi' a Chin Haw dish influenced by Yunnan Chinese. You can find it at northern Thai restaurants they sell it off menu, it tastes similar to a 'Tom Kha' soup. I'm already looking at the calendar for the next class. I had very brief encounters with him but his demeanor towards me seemed very rude. Asked him very simple questions but made me seem like I was asking him dumb questions. Second, the menu was not good. As someone who has been to a lot of Thai restaurants, this might have been for people who are not very familiar with authentic Thai food. I knew the class was over when the instructor told us to soak the rice paper into water for 30-45 seconds (I understand it was not warm water and we used tap water) Still, anyone who has actually has made spring rolls before knows that is way too long. Pad see ew was atrocious. Only used oyster sauce and tamari as sauces... don't really see the point of coming to a cooking class when your cabinet has better selection of spices/sauces. Chicken Khao Soi was decent. Paying 120 dollars for this class was a big mistake. I don't quite understand how they could charge this much knowing that the ingredients they used were fairly affordable. Honestly wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Allison was very sweet. The place was very cute. Only 2 positives.
