We ate here when the place first open and found it average at best, but there were a limited amount of choices in this area. Felt they were better than Denny's or IHOP, but nearly at the level of some of my favorite breakfast places. Few months pass and we try the place again. Fight breaks out between two of the wait staff, the owner is there acting like a jerk at the register, but the food was still decent. Tried it a third time and this is the last for me. Waitress was nice, but the quality of the food, portions, and price were just not good. Start with the coffee. If you are going to be a breakfast place you better have decent coffee and this was so bitter it made Starbuck's look good. Additionally, when the waitress offered cream I got non-dairy creamer. That might not seem like much, but if I wanted vegetable oil in my coffee I would have asked for it. Not that hard to even have milk available, but not here. Bottom line was $2.50 for bad coffee and no real milk or half & half to put into it. Pancakes were decent, but too thick for my preference. That is a matter of taste. Bacon was basically rendered fat and among the worst I have ever seen. Barely two full pieces and awful. Finally I was thinking about having a couple of scramble eggs to go with my pancakes and bacon until I saw the price for one additional egg. They wanted $1.75 for per egg. Seriously guys? I can get a dozen eggs at Aldi or HEB cheaper than that and they do have the store overhead. With Uncle Wankie's and Sunnyside opening up in the area there are better options and better prices than a place that is now a worse value than Denny's or IHOP. read more

I came here a week ago and thought I'd try it. Parking is difficult with only a few spots for the restaurant. I walk in and both ladies look at me from the back counter and don't say anything so I sat down where I wanted. It took my waitress A WHILE TO BRING MY COFFEE, she kept forgetting my water and would tend to other tables until she finally brought it. Most of my order came and was served but had to remind the waitress about my biscuit, which when it did arrive it was hot. The temperature of my food was Luke warm. The biscuit seemed like it was microwaved it was doughy and very small. I had to ask the waitress a few times for a coffee refill. I'm not sure what her problem wa it wasn't that busy. I was asked while paying id everything was ok and I said yes because I feel that if you have a complaint while paying you're giving the impression you're wanting a comp or discount which wasn't my case. I never leave reviews, ever but I had to leave one because I left extremely upset! Sooo showed up at this restaurant, ordered and everything was fine. Until a lady next to us complains about her meal and about 3 workers come to her aid along with the owner apologizing up a storm. Then our food finally arrives and my roommate and I are eating until she realizes there is a hair in her food so she asked if she could please get it redone. We didn't get a sorry but a, would you like another meal? Well yes please! Meal finally arrives, ready for it??? It arrives but in half portion!!!!! I'm like whatttt?? They gave us half because we had already started eating through the meal so we didn't deserve a full meal! Smh!! Food and prices are ok. The problem is how they seat. Twice in the last month they refused to sit my party of five (2 adults and 3 kids) at an open table for eight. They tried to get me to "squeeze" into a table for four, instead of giving me the larger open table. And this with no line and no one waiting but my party. They told me I had to wait 30 minutes until another suitable table opened even though the large table would remain open and available. We left and went to Dennys which is 2 miles away. Wish the jalapeño and cheese toast had a little more of that jalapeños in it. I should have gotten the onions and peppers on the chopped steak because it would have made it taste better. Hash browns were good and you really can't mess up eggs. Parking sucks! If they are busy forget about parking. 3.5/5 is really what I'm trying to give it but the app is only allowing whole numbers. Went in on a Saturday morning with a group of four. The food was decent and the service was fair, but we had to search our waitress out for coffee refills or hot sauce etc.....that being said, she was very nice. After we finished breakfast we continued to visit and have coffee. I also waited 18 minutes for the waitress to come back so I could place a to go order. The manager/owner then came over to our table and asked if we could leave. Really? We just spent 80 bucks in here and you want us to leave? She advised us that it was a Saturday and if we wanted to come back on a Monday-Friday she would let us sit there all day. Maybe I missed the boat here, but make paying customers leave? This is a good place. It's a little bit expensive. The service is always excellent...they are always very attentive. The food comes out fast, and most of it is very good...the omelets are excellent. However, those biscuits are lame. We have been there several times, because we live close by, and they are pretty much the same each time. They don't seem to be fresh, and you can tell they had just spent a little bit of time in the microwave.
