We decided to spend the night in cody for the rodeo and other attractions in town. Morning came and we decided to eat local, and chose "The Breadboard" for their bagels and breakfast sandwiches. The following review is for the breakfast items only, I can not speak for the sub sandwiches and other items available for lunch. Upon opening the foil wrap around my bagel sandwich, I saw a pool of liquid which was presumably from the very thick Patty of egg which was of a boiled appearance. This pool made the bagel soggy and the sandwich tasteless. The Canadian bacon was paper thin and given in one layer, further diminishing the taste of the sandwich. As I ate, there was a constant pitter patter of yellow egg water dripping off my sandwich which collected in a pool on my foil. Halfway through the sandwich I found a long brown hair, presumably from a staff as no one was wearing a hair net. A few minutes later someone eating with me found a similar hair.. We also ordered a sandwich to be served on an " everything bagel" but we received a poppy seed bagel instead. TLDR: Soggy, drippy, tasteless breakfast sandwiches with the occasional hair to be found. The food is very good but it seems that they are out of items all the time. I went in for soup more than once to find that they were out, the soup burned or they are ready cleaned up (it was 6:30). If they kept everything on the menu in stock I would rate it higher. read more

Every time I go - they are out of white bread. I am a white bread eater... plain and simple. There soup is usually pretty good - on Tuesdays and Thursdays... But, this last time when we ordered - I ordered extra meat on my sandwich. Husbands and sons regular meat were double the amount of meat that was on my sandwich. I had ordered double meat on the salami... They can never get it right! Wish someone would do an overhaul on their management supervising their employees to make sure it gets made correctly! read more

When I didn't pack my lunch that day, I would come here. They never let me down when I had a craving for a good egg salad sandwich on rye. They will fix it up just how you want it with good fresh ingredients. We got great sandwiches here on our way through Cody. I loved that you could specify exactly the length of your sub! The iced coffee was good too. We ate them outside of town in the Big Horn National Forest. Will definitely stop in again if I am driving through. read more

Stopped by to get a couple of sandwiches to go for our day trip to theTeton's. They had a variety of breads. We selected the french roll. I'm kinda a bread nut and this bread roll was chewy with a firm well browned crust. Not like that Subway doughy thing, but closer to a sourdough french roll. I picked a couple of cheeses and let them add all their condiments. It was great and prices were reasonable. We were headed for another restaurant which turned out to be (fortunately for us) closed that day and we were so hungry that I told my husband to just "ask for one each of their 2 most popular sandwiches. Yum. The Bread Board bakes their own sandwich bread (we didn't try the bagels) and, as a bread baker myself I can say it is exceptional (esp. the sunflower seed bread). We esp. liked chicken-bacon sub (can't remember its name) and actually searched out The Bread Board in another community we would be passing through. Clean, fresh ingredients and friendly staff. It's ok. Not great, but not bad. Too expensive for what you get. I see others review with the same complaint --- way too little meat and cheese. I wish some places would consult Yelp for quality management, but it seems busy enough, so maybe they just really don't care cuz there's always another tourist to hop in line. Lol read more

Sometimes you just want it good and simple. Well, go no farther, the Breadboard is a great, non-pretentious place to eat. Simple ambiance, and quality made to order food this is a nice quiet place to unwind, have bowl of soup and a sandwich and if you have a book or newspaper it's the cherry on the sundae. read more

I love this place! The sandwiches are to die for.. So fresh. And the soup is always delicious! The staff is incredibly friendly! The coffee is not great and the food is very over priced. It cost me $15 for a sandwich and soup. That's all I got. The sub was not bad but is lacked a satisfying amount of meat and cheese. The beer cheese soup however is amazing but not worth what I paid. When told my ticket price I asked my server if it was correct and she said quote, " ugh I don't know". Very expensive! A meat/egg/cheese "bagel" $4.80 before tax. As far as the bagel, it's not a bagel it's a dense bread bun with a dimple in it...a roll. Asked for ham on bagel there was 3 very small slivers of ham on it, eggs were premade scrambled egg product and soaked the bun bagel completely and was dripping trying to eat. Coffee to go was warm, not hot and in papercup so got cold fast, coffee taste average. Place seems clean and staff is friendly but honestly mcd's and BK are a block from this place and I would rather have the franchise coffee and food especially for $.
