What a great whiskey bar! We came here with some friends and had a great time. Excellent cocktails all around. I wish we had a spot like this in PV/San Pedro.

We came here for a casual dinner on a Sunday night and the Blind Donkey did not disappoint. We sat outside because we brought our dog and there was no one else out there! The menu was scanned via QR code and it was easy enough to access. We both got burgers, mine was a beyond patty and my fiancé got a beef one. The food came so quickly and the French fries were DELICIOUS. I've been looking for a new favorite fry since Pizza of Venice was lost in the Eaton Fire and I think these may be it! Funny that we didn't try the drinks or spend time inside at the bar but from sitting outside on a cold winter night, I can only imagine the inside is even more fun!

Walking back to our vehicles after dinner we thought we'd come try this whiskey bar out. A very interesting name that caught our attention when we were initially walking to dinner. Inside looks kinda divey. Bartender even said that this place is kind of between a dive bar and a cocktail bar. The bartender was ok. Not bubbly at all. Had a great poker face. Initially seemed aloof and off putting. But I get it cuz I'm like that at work also. So I get it. He's just misunderstood!! They are predominantly a whiskey establishment. I love how the back of the bar had all their whiskey bottles on display. Looks really nice. There's plenty of seating here. Multiple types of seating too. Bar top at the bar. High top tablee. Regular tables with chairs. Even couch like seating areas. It was pretty dead when we were there on a Sunday evening. Drinks were good. He definitely knows what hes doing. Never figured out why this place is called Blind Donkey. But a solid whiskey establishment

Hatchet job

We visited Blind Donkey on a Friday evening. The place wasn't too crowded yet, and we managed to find a spot at the bar. It's open seating throughout, and all orders are placed directly at the bar. We tried the Hatchet Job (Mezcal, Campari, Lemon, Simple Syrup) and the Pineapple Daiquiri (Rum, Pineapple, and Lime Juice). Both drinks were well-balanced and enjoyable. Service was good, and the atmosphere was relaxed--nothing too fancy, which was a refreshing change given the area. Overall, it's a pleasant spot for a quick, laid-back drink. Highly recommended if you're looking for a casual place with good cocktails and a friendly vibe.

Great place to get a drink after work. Nice and quiet place to sit and have time to reflect on a Monday night.

On nights and weekends though, it can still get busy. We ordered a variety of drinks and liked the menta milk punch ($18), last word ($18), and queen's park swizzle ($16). As a single person who came with a book to read and study... it's dim lighting so I had to make use of candlelight. This really is meant to be more of a social spot. I came in on a weekday to catch the Suntory promotion, which came with some nice collectibles to pair with your highball. I feel like every cocktail I've had here so far has a great sense of balance and technique. I'll probably come back and try their omakase course of cocktails at some point. Is it "kami no glass?" (The Glass of God) - I haven't found one that has touched my soul to that extent, but they do have an extensive list to explore. The food menu consists of luxurious bites from burrata, crudo, bone marrow, oysters, and the like. Gourmet pairings for your expensive tastes.

LADIES, PLEASE BE CAREFUL! Save your money and think twice before visiting this business!…read more Just as I have recommended this place to several people in the past, I believe it's equally important to share my negative experience and be honest about what happened. I visited with a group of new friends who had never been to this establishment before. Less than 20 minutes into our visit, we were dealing with a clearly intoxicated male & female sitting next to us who repeatedly accused us of bumping into him, not saying "excuse me" etc. despite the fact that we had only just arrived. He was clearly intoxicated. The situation quickly escalated into verbal harassment, and my friend and I were insulted and made to feel extremely uncomfortable. The man physically got out of his chair and yelled at us on two separate occasions, leaving us feeling unsafe and concerned that the situation could turn physical. We brought the issue to the manager's attention, expecting the situation to be handled appropriately. Instead, the individuals involved were allowed to remain at the bar. We were essentially told to sit at opposite ends of the establishment rather than seeing any meaningful action taken to address the behavior. As a customer, I should not have to leave a business because I feel unsafe after reporting aggressive and intimidating behavior. My friend and I ultimately decided to leave, despite having every intention of enjoying our evening. Several other people witnessed what happened. I am extremely disappointed in how this situation was handled. A business has a responsibility to take its customers' safety seriously, especially when someone is visibly intoxicated and behaving aggressively toward others. I genuinely wanted to love this place and had previously encouraged others to visit. Unfortunately, this experience completely changed my opinion. No one should have to choose between their personal safety and enjoying a night out. I hope management takes situations like this more seriously in the future, because the way a business responds to its customers when something goes wrong says everything about its standards and values.

They don't typically do this, but when I mentioned it to my waitress, she made sure it was taken care of. It's a small thing, but it makes the meal so much easier to eat, and I really appreciate the extra effort. The hostess has also been friendly everytime I've walked in. My only minor gripe is that when ordering pickup, you have to specially request silverware. Having dined here before, I already knew we were in good hands. From the moment we arrived, the hostess recognized that we were celebrating our anniversary and made us feel welcome. We were seated inside the bungalow's main dining area, where we settled in with water and our drink orders. My espresso martini was smooth, flavorful, and a great way to start brunch.
