Got the Roper Bison Burger, Forager Burger (ground prime rib patty), and Brisket Sliders. The food was OK, the service was less than impressive even for pick up. The brisket itself was tender, but the bbq sauce was way too sweet and one note - lacks complexity. The burgers were both cooked to a good doneness, slightly pink. The toppings were very lacking though. They both tasted pretty much the same, but different sauces. Barely tasted any of the mushrooms and onion on the Forager, and the fried Jalapenos on the Roper were almost non-existent. The prime ground beef patty was almost overworked? It was... bouncy/gummy, which isn't what I expect of a burger patty. Normally happens when you use a mixer trying to make meatballs. I will give it to them for keeping the buns intact. The best thing about these were probably the fries that stayed crispy all the way through and not turn starchy. I primarily want to try the bison burgers though, given the place is called The Bison. Would prefer if the burger qualities were better without the fries. Putting the food aside, I was not impressed with the service. First, the food was not the least bit warm when I got it. Not sure why. I Ordered at 2:31pm, was notified at 2:58pm for pickup, and started eating at 3:24pm. There have been burger places that I picked up way later, but were way warmer after a while. Second, the staff weren't too friendly. I was standing at the counter waiting for someone to help me get me my food, two were doing something at the cashier doing something and didn't acknowledge me, waited around for a 2-3 minutes before someone from behind ask if I'm good. Told him I'm picking up my online order. I thanked him, but he just walked away and said nothing back. Place was literally empty with only a 2-3 people at the bar. Third, they didn't give any sauce or condiments for the fries, also didn't provide any napkins or utensils. There were no options to include either of them. Overall pretty underwhelming experience. Delicious!! Everything we've tried her has been so good....including the truffle popcorn!

Going in on a Friday night we did have to wait a bit for a table and they are now "seat yourself". The food is really good and I am in love with their Moscito (mix between a Moscow mule and a mojito). The service was quick and friendly and we got a great picture of our group with the bison hanging on the wall. This is a pretty laid back place, not a ton of seating but they do have extra seating outside in the back, but I wouldn't necessarily like to sit out there during the winter. read more

We stopped by here after having lunch at The Cottage so we only grabbed a couple of drinks and a basket of fries. We didn't have a reservation, but we were able to sit down right away since we opted to sit inside and most folks were seated in their outdoor area. Corey, our waiter, was polite and provided great service! My friend liked her beer. I can't remember the name of it, and although it was really fruity, she was able to finish it. Great place for burger and a nice cold drink. Got the forager, and it is legit the best burger I've had in a long time. The fries were perfectly cooked, super crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. I would consider coming back just for the fries. Their specialty mule was minty and refreshing (but just a little too much pulp for my liking) Our server was very nice, but we did feel a little rushed. We got out food, and only 5 minutes in, we were asked if we needed boxes for our food. We visited during the week. Not too many people. The ambiance was pleasant, looks like a sports bar with the dark wood walls. Looks cozy. Lots of TV's. Tables to sit at or sit at the bar. They have a generous selection of beer. The patio area is adequate but in the back next to the parking lot which is meh. The food is tasty with a large selection of sandwiches and salads along with appetizers. I had the salmon burger with chimichurri alioli. Get extra alioli on the side! It was cooked right. I asked for pickles cuz I like that added flavor. My wife had the wedge salad which she liked. No complaints here. I like that you can pay at your table with the payment machine the waiter brings. We literally order from this place multiple times a week. Everything is good. The brisket trempette is to die for, and I really like the herbivore. The real star is the French fries. A basic very mediocre bar food experience. I ordered The Trempette prime rib dip that was supposed to be on Bahn Mi bun. Well it came out on a French roll which would normally be what you get at any other place. I opted for this because I wanted to try the variation on the different type of bun. Well I barely could bite thru the leather like old tasting "thinly sliced prime rib" meat! It was awful even dipping it into the au jus. The fries were good. Like I said basic not impressed. My drink tasted like plain iced tea Vs the pricey signature cocktail that I ordered. The place was busy on a Sat night with people watching Basketball and playing darts. Hubby ordered the Hot breast friend chicken sandwich which he said was ok. Price point for what we order wasn't great. We spent almost $80 with tip for a not very good meal. The fries were some of the better fries I've had, they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside without feeling too oily and pretty well seasoned. We ate here about a month or so ago. My wife got a burger and she loved it. I got a chicken burger and it was just OK. The fries were outstanding! Now, the bad parts. Like at Red Robin, we were asked if we'd like a sauce besides ketchup to go with the fries. We said, sure! We were also asked if we'd like a different side than fries. My wife opted for onion rings. We were told there was no extra charge. After paying the tab and leaving, I got a text receipt for the meal. I opened it and noticed we were charged $0.50 each for the sauces, and $2.75 for the onion rings. It's just deceptive or the waiter didn't know there were extra costs. We've been here a few times since the revamping (previously Three Lions Pub), but feel compelled to review after we went this past weekend for a causal birthday dinner with a fairly large group for my husband's birthday celebration. We received EXCELLENT service from Frankie, especially for a group as large and needy as ours. He really made our night and I'm not sure I would be leaving this review if it weren't for his level of service. The same goes for most of their staff in the experiences we've had. As for the restaurant itself, they have a prime location on Maine Street with lots of outdoor seating. The Main Street is current closed off and we were able to set up a corn hole game with really made our night. There is a good selection of draft beers and wine, and the food menu is elevated bar dining. My husband can't get enough of their burgers and everyone we know agrees they have the best fries. I personally love the fish and chips. We will be moving out of the area soon, but I can see us making a special detour here if we are ever in town! read more

I'm giving them five stars even though service was slow. It's covid times and the delay in seating was not due to lack of effort on the staff. Far from it -- you ever operated a restaurant with only two people? I haven't either, you know why? Because it is impossible -- but these two guys made it happen anyways. I had the burger (can't remember the name) with mushrooms and caramelized onions and, wow! I expected a generic pub burger but this was delicious and true gourmet. This bar isn't open too late, but it's always popping when it is! On weekend evenings the tables fill up quickly, so if you have a large group it might be hard to get a table or find seats at the counter. There are servers that go around to the tables, but it's faster to just go up to the bar and order if you're just looking for drinks. Beer is cold, staff is great, ambience is about right for a hometown bar. Overall not a bad place to hang out for HH. It does get busy for a while, even during the week. Good vibe. It was a Wednesday, increasing summer heat was hanging around and we were clearly in that mid-week malaise of not wanting to make an effort to prepare dinner or go someplace fancy. Still wanting good food, we knew our destination - Bothell's main street. It promised a number of options from burgers, sandwiches, to Thai food, sushi and a well crafted cocktail bar. None which would steer us wrong.   Feeling a bit of yearning for British inspired pub food, the Bison was the choice.  We popped in to find available space inside and out. We grabbed an outside table, enjoying the slight breeze that was picking up, and blowing fallen sun-crisped leaves down the closed main street section. At some places, outside service can be hit or miss. Not at the Bison. Our server - Paula - was right there with food and drink menus. Initially a bit disappointed that the listed Hefeweizen was out, but she recommended another NW Hefe and we were soon toasting to a mid-week outing.  We ordered (Burger and Fish-n-Chips)  and it was out very quick and both meals were on point. Fish was perfectly battered and fried. Big portion with flaky delicious meat. Similar for the burger. Cooked to the requested medium well and topped appropriately. Big plus is the generous sides for dipping fries. And, Paula was attentive, engaging and funny.  Solid evening, solid food and outstanding service. Highly recommend. read more

In reviewing previous comments did see that early on there were some negative reviews. We did have an experience that wasn't favorable but, rather than slam a new restaurant I called and explained the issue we had, and that I thought they deserved the privilege to get things sorted out. The response was comping our meal and a $20 gift certificate. That's a class act in my book. We have now had several different dinner options and we have yet to be disappointed. There is an outside dining option in back near the parking lot which might be missed if you expected it on Main like the other three with tents there. Fish and chips is excellent but the batter doesn't hold up if you squeeze lemon over them. Don't hesitate to order it however. Friendly neighborhood bar vibes with food that's decidedly better than what you'd expect from the local bar. The Beast Burger is my husband's favorite burger in the Seattle metro. He also likes the battered onion rings with ranch. The ranch is Midwest restaurant-quality, thick and creamy. My go to is the Bison Burger - and add bacon. It''s thick-cut, and cooked to a delicious crisp. For the drinks, they have Guinness and a couple of rotating hard ciders on tap for a Snakebite. I went out to dinner here with my family, it wasn't a super busy night. We sat outside, please note outdoor seating is extremely limited. The staff were alright, not overly friendly but not unpleasant either. I ordered the smoked brisket sandwich, it sounds way better than it tasted. The meat tasted like a smoked hotdog,, the overall sandwhich lacked any other flavor. My husband liked his nachos. My kids got cheeseburgers and didn't finish them.
