OMG! This was so yummy. I can't wait to go back. The wait for food was long but well worth the wait. They have a great beer selection and an incredible view of the mountains, so waiting for the food wasn't so terrible as others have complained about. This will be one of the great memories of our cross country adventure. read more

The Bird - Beer with a view - American Near Me - Jackson, Wyoming

Great wings and nice beer selection. I ordered the wings crispy and was happy.

Love the relaxed atmosphere. The food is always what you come to expect. The schnitzel is my go to dinner, with excellent service always!

Myself and three friends visited the bird. Service was slow. Food was sub-par, beer was good. But the best part? We asked our waitress to split the bill 3 ways and each of us threw our credit cards on the table. She said that it was above her paygrade to divide the bill by three and went to the manager for help doing so. Somewhere some math teacher failed miserably! read more

The Bird is hard to find, parking sucks, the décor is punch palace chic, bathrooms are better than an outhouse (barely), but it does have that Twilight Zone thing going on. We went there to eat based on the Yelpster's ratings, and eat we did, and very well thank you. Awesome food prepared with imagination and enthusiasm. Service was good but it was a little confusing having several people taking care of us. Overall we came away well fed and satisfied, our budget intact, and fairly amused to boot! 5 stars for sure if it wasn't for the access/parking shortcomings that are easily forgiven in my book. My priorities are food quality, value, adequate, functional service (not the kiss my rear end and dog and pony show stuff), reasonable cleanliness, flush toilets and a place to wash my hands, and no intestinal distress. If I'm ever in Jackson again, I'm there! read more

We first visited the Bird over the winter. Warm atmosphere, good food, fun vibe. We became instant fans. We're back for the summer and and made our first visit in early June where the warm atmosphere, good food and fun vibe remain. Our one issue is the deck - the mountain view is gorgeous but there is no way to escape the unrelenting sun. They have a deck in full afternoon (high altitude, mountain) sun with no escape. Maybe some umbrellas or sun sails? Perhaps it is too early in the season but when we visited again in mid June, we didn't see anything that might provide some shade on the deck. We get the slightly irreverent "screw you, leave if you don't like it" vibe of the place and think it's amusing...except for the shade thing. "Screw you, leave if you don't like your skin to bubble and blister in the sun" is NOT amusing. Come for the good food and fun, but bring your SPF 4000 on a sunny day 'cause you're gonna need it. read more

Our raft guide suggested this place. Great burgers. Was kinda hot inside like the AC didn't work

Love this place! Their burgers are pretty unique, as they're served on English muffins. Seemed strange at first, but it was actually quite tasty! A family member of mine had the German Schnitzel & holy crap, that thing was HUGE!! And so good! We also really enjoyed the local, laid back vibe of the place. Probably the only downside was having to find a place to sit & no real order on where to sit for first-time comers. Other than that, highly recommend if you're in the area! read more

Stopped here on the way to Salt Lake City, looking for a late lunch. They serve big fine burgers, made just right (rare, that is), and have a respectable selection of beers on tap. Their social media person would hate me for writing this, but don't believe the 'tude in their copy: the staff was super nice. I just hope that by the next time I pass through Wyoming, they'll have some shade on the porch. read more

Perfect spot for good food, large beer selection, incredible views and fun atmosphere

I will never ever get another "high end" burger again from fancy or even non-fancy restaurant again. This place has the best real burger I've ever had. No need to describe it as others already have. I will say they also have homemade fries that has perfect fried area to potato fluff and mouth suckering homemade pickles. Wings and Reuben are worth a shot as well. Just a tip for those burger lovers, immediately pick up your burger once you get it! Don't want the heat from the burger to steam the bottom bun- tragedy! read more

I never thought I'd be eating a delicious, juicy burger in Jackson, WY! My friend found this place on Yelp years ago since he loves to try burger places, and we happened to be in the area as we were heading home from Yellowstone! It's a cool place to hangout and has an amazing view of the rolling hills and farms below. It's not necessarily the kind of place to bring your kids, but more of a hangout for adults (as the hilariously written menu will attest to). The table next to us was a group of 10 women having a good time. Their table had a pole right in the center of it, going up towards the ceiling! I can only imagine what this place is like at night! And if you get too shwasted with their vast beer selection and full bar, they have a free shuttle! I ordered the burger that had guacamole and green salsa. For me, the measure of a burger is not just in the quality of the toppings, but the meat itself! The meat was tender and juicy and very hot! You can tell it's fresh! You can choose from either a 4 or 9 oz burger. And suprise!!! It's on an english muffin bun, how fun is that?! I like when the chefs take the time to be creative! read more

The Bird is an awesome local bar! It lies a bit outside of downtown Jackson Hole, making it a place to find a bit cheaper food. The restaurant is super nice, with a great, open outdoor seating area. I came by here with a group for burgers. They have so many different options - truly something for everyone! I got some sort of breakfast burger with egg, cheese, and grilled onions and a side of fries. The bun was pretty weird (more like an English muffin), but everything tasted great! This place serves nice solid bar food at a more reasonable price than you'll find in downtown Jackson hole. I definitely recommend you check it out! Also read all the little notes on their menu - it's pretty funny. read more

Awesome place with outstanding views! Great beer selection too! We love their bottomless mimosas on Sunday at brunch. Their burgers on English muffin are delicious and their bacon jam is sinful! The service was excellent! We can't wait to go back! read more

Pretty good spot with the deck and bar area as the main attraction - we were lucky enough to come during sunset time and enjoy it with a brew. Then bellied up to the bar and received good service from the bartender. They had a good beer selection and the burger selection on the menu is impressive. I was surprised no chicken burgers were available but oh well, a meat lovers paradise to be sure. They did have chicken wings which I thoroughly enjoyed. Also the salads were impressive as well. Good vibes and good food here at The Bird! read more

The Bird - Great deck views! - American Near Me - Jackson, Wyoming

Great place! The bird has a wonderful atmosphere with a view that rivals any across the US. With a great ambience and laid back service the restaurant makes you really feel at home even when your 2000 miles away as I am. I split the delicious wings with two other people to make for a great appetizer. I then enjoy the house salad with their amazing homemade ranch (a must for the wings as well). After devouring the refreshing salad I had the very filling philly cheese steak with a side of the au jus that is usually paired with the French dip. Everything was fantastic taste wise. The reason for the 3 stars is the price. It was on the pricey side considering the amount of food. Although this was expected seeing as Jackson is somewhat of a touristy town. Overall, great food and great people. I will be back in the future. Ps. The burgers are made from ground brisket and it's awesome! read more

I walked in an fell in love. This is bar you want to hang and eat at. The burger is amazing. Stop in and get some beers n the best burger in WY. The view on the deck is breathtaking. So good. read more

Because Zero stars is not an option. We have been here each time we were in town, referred several friends, and liked the staff and food. This time was different; ruined by the "owner" Will. This young high/strung boy confronted us after we asked to...wait for it...spilt the bill in half between our families. Will ruined an otherwise positive experience with his issues manifested in aggressiveness. Poor fella. We hope that the owner was nearly as capable as the other employees. Although they don't take reservations, call ahead to ensure that he is not the manager on duty. Advice: Decide who is paying the bill before entering the restaurant. Otherwise, owner gets rattle by slight change of plans. Sidewinders, Thai plate, Gather, Hatch, Hang Ups, Teton Tiger are all awesome, and closer to town. read more

Fantastic attentive service. Jane is amazing and took incredible care of us. Also food is bomb

Terrible place. Do not recommend! Automatic gratuity means the waiters and waitresses do not actually care. Good luck trying to get seated as it's seat yourself and complete Chaos. If your in the just avoid it. Also refused to split up a check on a group of nine. Wtf read more

Good vibe just outside of town. Burgers served on english muffins, which was an unexpected win. Thick burgers (much preferred to thin patties) and lots of options. Large side salad was a win as well. read more

Very vulgar music as soon as we walked in. Customer service is lacking and the staff is rude and unfriendly.

Best burger on the planet, awesome vibe, amazing view off the patio, solid beer selection, friendly service. Good Lord, I wish I lived in Jackson. Do yourself a big favor and go easy on the toppings, you want to taste the meat, it's what a burger should be. The english muffin it's served on is perfect, it lets the burger rightfully be the star of the show. As an added bonus, the wings are pretty darn good as well. These folks take their food and fun seriously!!! Long live The Bird!!! read more

Best burgers and deck views in Jackson! It is the go to spot for Sunday funday, bottomless mimosas, and football sunday. The young management keeps this place hip and busy, throwing great parties once a season (guides & gapers, ugly sweater, etc.). The Bird, also, offers FREE shuttles to and from the restaurant. Don't drink and drive! read more

This place was the highlight of our time in Jackson Hole. After a day of hiking in the Grand Tetons all we wanted was a fun, laid back bar to grab some food and beers for a reasonable price in JH (which is surprisingly difficult there). This place was PERFECT though! Great back deck with a view. Nice, fun bartenders. Great food. A menu which made me chuckle. And, of course, great craft beer options. We'll definitely go back next time we're in the area. read more

READ BEFORE YOU GO We're a pretty laid back family, consisting of 4 children above the age of 20 along with our parents. After reading their playful menu, we decided to make the trip out of town to The Bird. Our joyous mood was stunned upon meeting our first server, Matt. He couldn't of been more unenthused to answer our basic drink questions and left us with a sour taste in our mouth. We were then served by a different waitress who did a fine job taking our orders. Everyone who ordered a burger was shocked to see it on a slice of English muffin but for the most part the food was good. As we were enjoying the scenery and finishing up our meal we noticed there were 2 live mice stuck in separate traps at the restraint entrance. We watched as they moved around trying to escape the sticky liquid. As an animal lover, I was pained to see the little guys suffer. As a restraint customer, I was shocked to see such an open display of live vermin in an area where people eat. Once the staff realized there was multiple live mice in the open, MATT comes over with a pitcher and starts scooping the trapped mice into the pitcher and then walks swiftly into the kitchen as my sister and I continually ask what they are going to do with the mice. As he enters the kitchen we hear him shout "what the fuck is going on?". We are horrified at the idea that they would kill them. After questioning the manager on duty about what will happen to the mice she goes into the kitchen to talk with Matt. I can hear them arguing about what they're going to tell us and the next second I see Matt coming out of the kitchen carrying someone's order. He never once washed his hands. The manager never ended up coming out the of the kitchen to answer our question and we ended up leaving. Since we had a table of 6 people, we were told we had a mandatory 20% tip but if we could've tipped Matt based on his service, there would be no tip. read more

So with two kids in tow we pulled in late to Jackson looking for a good burger joint and stumbled upon The Bird. Tuck away in I'm not sure what (turns out a smallish apartment complex/business mall), found this quaint little pub. They serve food late which was perfect. Not exactly a family place but kid's are welcome. Ordered a round of burgers (ghetto on a good day) was tasty as was the rest of the food. All the burgers came on English muffins which was different but good (except for our picky 13yo). We got a plate of the Asian peppers to start. Not too spicy but could be like pepper roulette. And a full chalk board of cold local brews to chose from on tap. The outside deck was the place to be for watching the sunset over the valley and snake river. A big screen offered NBA finals action inside around the circular bar in the middle of the main room. Will be back another day for moms night out. read more

Very relaxed, interesting place. A little trouble finding the actual entrance, as it is connected to a gas station/liquor store/apartment complex. Great beer on tap, delicious burgers, and an even better view when you sit on the patio. read more

My husband and I loved our burgers and our boys loved their BBQ wings! The Bird was recommended to us by our hotel and we are so glad we went. It is a bit out of town but the second we pulled up we saw that the parking lot was full and realized that every local was there and knew that was a good sign. The food was great, the service was great, and the view was amazing! A trip to Jackson Hole wouldn't be complete without visiting this restaurant. read more

Definitely a locals vibe, but tourists are treated like locals, which is nice. Service was really friendly. Food was totally fine. Not amazing, but not bad. Similar to diner fare. Beer selection good. Great place to relax with a beer and burger. The schnitzel was a little too thin and hard. Would go back! read more

This is a locals hangout. It is a family place including dogs (we had a great floor show of a chocolate lab and springer spaniel puppies wrestling). Food was solid pub food and loved you could get a 4 oz burger on an English muffin. Reasonable portions for a good price. If weather allows sit on the patio. read more

I do not drink alcohol and do not like bars but I love eating at The Bird! The burgers are absolutely delicious! I believe the beef is ground in house! It is very reasonably priced for Jackson! I do believe it is actually Coca Cola they give me:)! I'm not a big French fry eater but theirs are soo good! Great ambience... they own the mountain ski town theme! It's worth the 7 minutes out of Jackson. We dined inside with our 4 kids (they don't have high chairs). We ordered burgers, wings, salads, and a couple of different beers. The burger was great but the wings were sooo good. We got the garlic parm wings- wowza. Give this place a try. read more
