These guys are great (Hal and Dwayne). What they do for veterans is truly amazing. A very nicely run bike shop. Highly recommend!

5-star service! Good people! Wylie is awesome!…read more Some background... I bought my Trek Madone from another store. After nearly 10 rides, my front brake assembly flew right off!!! And just before the start of an 100-mile organized ride in Wilmot, Wi! The nut had fallen of during a warm up ride, and the on site mobile bike shop didn't have a spare. He zip tied the cable to the frame and handed me the assembly. Fast forward two cycling seasons (did not ride last year due to injury. *unrelated to bike assembly )... On the first ride of this season, last month (July, 2015), my buddy got a flat tire after running over a piece of a shoe sole that had a nail in it. When the piece of sole fell out, the tire went completely flat. He started walking his bike, and we soon found ourselves at this new-ish bike shop. It was about a mile away. The only person in the place was Wylie. He was ultra helpful! He took care of my buddy's flat in no time! While we were waiting, I figured it was a good time to get my brake assembly fixed. I asked Wylie if he had a nut to repair my brake assembly. He said that he didn't think he did but would call a nearby shop (Sam's?) to see if they could help. I didn't have the assembly with me, but it was in my truck (~10 miles away). Wylie called the shop and said he could help. I told him I'd be back after we finished our ride to pick up the part. About 2hrs later, I stopped by the shop and Wylie had the part delivered within 5 minutes! He even put the brake assembly back on the bike for me! No charge! 5-star service! Good people! Wylie is awesome!

They were so accommodating. Max took care of us and was professional and efficient with the adjustment. This business is a partner of the company that sold me my bike. Today, March 11th, at approximately…read more1:30 PM, I took my bike in to drop it off as instructed by the company. When I arrived--before I had even taken the bike out of the car--an employee came out with a terrible attitude; he didn't even say hello. I explained what the company had told me to do, but he claimed to know nothing about the issue and refused to accept the bike. I called the company and handed him the phone so he could speak with them; eventually, he agreed to take it. He just said, "Fine, leave it there," turned around, and walked back into the shop!! An electric bike is really too heavy for one person to handle; I had to ask my wife to help me get it out of the car while the young man just watched from the window. I know that isn't technically his job, but come on--there should be some basic courtesy or willingness to help customers. I really do not recommend this place. Unfortunately, I didn't catch his name, but I hope he sees this message and rethinks his attitude if he actually likes his job. Customers come for services, not to ask for free favors.

A few mosquito bites later, and we were on our way. However, today, my rear tube went flat at the point of being 25 miles away from home. I had everything I needed to fix my flat but no pump. Not wanting to stand by the side of the road, blowing up my tube by mouth, I decided to check google maps for the closest bike shop. It said it would be a 2.5 mile walk to get there, so I picked up the bike and walked the 45 minutes to Everything Pedal. The store is located off of a main road in a strip of about three stores. It is unassuming, but do not let that fool you. There were bikes and bike related items all over the place. I walked in and told my tale of woe to the owner. What a good dude. He listened and helped me find what I needed to get back on the trails home. Not only did he replace my rear tube, he helped me pick out new tires since the rear one had been ripped up by whatever I rode through that caused my flat. We also chatted about Marc Sommers of the Food Network's Unwrapped but originally the kids game show, Double Dare, on Nickelodeon. Even though I did not have to wait very long for him to replace my tube and both front and rear tires, I had a blast and forgot all about the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day I was having. I cannot recommend this spot enough. The owner rocks and got me back home with no other incidents!

And on an on an on an on and on. And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. And on and on and on and on and on an on and on and on and on and on. It was a long time. I waited. And I waited some more. I did some serious waiting five feet away in a red sweater. No acknowledgment. No letting me know it might be a while. But that would've likely stopped the upselling I started to see. So I turned me and my bike around and left. It's hard for me to be on my feet that long. That's why I bike. Dood has a right to be into his subject matter. Usually shops want you to feel comfortable and respected as somewhat of a priority, even if you aren't being directly pitched at the moment... it just was not a good vibe. All doods working there when I was in. Way heavy on the dood vibe. Captive audience syndrome. Sigh. Dood has to do what a dood does. I avoid places like this. Going to the bike collective in Rogers Park instead next time.
