I recently swung by and wanted to share some thoughts on my visit had a really lovely time overall…read more I was super excited to try out your special winter lattes that were featured for December, and honestly, every single one I tried was absolutely delicious. They really hit the spot. A special shout out has to go to the Tropic Blast wow, that was a truly amazing and refreshing drink. It was a delightful surprise. But the real star of the show for me was the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese Waffle. Seriously, it was out of this world good. If there's any chance at all, you absolutely have to consider making that a regular item on your menu. I think it would be a huge hit. I also picked up a Ham, Egg, and Cheese Bragel without cream cheese, for me. I noticed a good number of your sandwich options seem to come with cream cheese as standard. Perhaps it would be great to highlight options without it, or even offer a wider variety of non cream cheese choices for those of us who prefer something different. On the service front, your staff was fantastic really friendly and super efficient. Just one small, friendly suggestion, I did notice the dining area and general space could use a little extra attention with cleaning. Keeping things sparkling makes the whole experience even better.

Biggby rocks!! A friend and I came here for a coffee date early Saturday and throughout our time…read morethey had a constant flow of customers. This coffee shop is kept clean and can seat about 25 people. There is also a drive thru which makes it convenient for anyone in a rush or just wanting to grab and go. Staff members were very nice! Since it was my first time there it took me a little extra time to decide what to order. They remained patient and extremely helpful. Service was quick, my items were ready within 5 mins. I tried the dark hot chocolate with almond milk and also got a breakfast sandwich (everything bagel with egg and cheese). The hot chocolate was good - not overly sweet and at the perfect temperature where I didn't burn myself. The breakfast sandwich was also very good - it usually comes with sausage and cream cheese, however, I opted to leave those out. Everything was of great quality and I can see myself coming back in the future.

Drove from Chicago to Huntley to visit family and desperately needed coffee on the way. Did a quick…read moresearch for a non-chain spot and Calibre was very convenient. The 2 baristas working were very friendly, greeted me right away and made the drinks quickly. I got the biscoff iced latte, which is something I've had many times at other places. I really like that theirs isn't overly sweet, it doesn't have a ton of whip or cookie crumbles or syrup coating the sides which is what I prefer. The ube latte is sweeter but also not overly sweet like other places do. We ordered 16 oz but were given 20 oz cups, the barista said they were out of smaller cups. I think because of this they actually added more milk too, because the coffee taste was very light. I wish there was less milk or more espresso. Prices were high, $17 for 2 drinks is steep for the burbs. I'd come back, but I'd probably get an extra shot or ask for less milk.

Calibre Coffee in South Barrington was honestly a letdown. The place looks nice from the outside,…read morebut the experience didn't match the hype at all. The coffee tasted burnt and overly bitter, like it had been sitting too long, and for the price, that's unacceptable. Service was slow and felt disorganized--staff didn't seem very attentive, and it took way longer than it should have just to get a basic order. On top of that, the atmosphere was louder and less relaxing than expected, which defeats the whole point of going to a coffee shop to chill or get work done. Overall, overpriced, underwhelming coffee, and poor service. Definitely not somewhere I'd go out of my way to visit again.

I've been wanting to try this place for a few years now and finally got a chance. We stopped in for…read morelunch which I thought maybe they had some light sandwiches or something but really it's more like a breakfast place. But that's OK because I had the most delicious ham and cheese croissant. Of all the places I've ever eaten croissants at this was by far the best one ever. Buttery, fluffy, with just the right amount of ham and cheese inside. Just to bite into it was like I bit into a cloud. The person I was with had the poached eggs with smoked salmon on a croissant and said it was outstanding-best ever. It is on the pricey side, but when you're eating niche food like this, you would expect to pay more money. I did buy some pastries to take home for later macarons, and a couple of pieces of cheesecake and a honey cake which were OK maybe not the best. I wish they had had more flavor. The cherries in the honey cake were lacking that great cherry flavor. The macarons were good bigger than usual or what I'm used to but OK. The cheesecake was too dense for me, but the person I was with and others enjoyed them profusely. The place is adorable inside very cozy, small but plenty of places to sit and the person behind the counter couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. Check this place out if you're looking for a delicious croissant I would really like to also try the sourdough bread which looked amazing.

This place is a must for a little girl party. My daughter had her party here and I received so…read moremany compliments of how unique and fun it was. It's located right in downtown Algonquin and it's "house" so it adds to the charm. There are many different parties to choose from, but each one includes dress-up and a tea party. You can add makeup and hair for additional cost and each party has varying add-ons so the cost will vary, but the cost is very reasonable. This is not a place where parents stay for the event as the place cannot accommodate that many people (I def did not mind that aspect), so be aware of that. I brought my camera and told the parents I would take lots of pics and for them to provide me their email addresses so that I could forward them once uploaded. Once the girls arrive, they go upstairs to where there are racks of clothes, shoes, and many accessories to choose from with all sizes. After the girls have made their final selections, they take a picture then head to their tea party room. There, they have princess tea (which is sprite dyed pink I believe), cookies, marshmallows, cracker/pretzel mix, and cupcakes. They sing Happy Birthday there as well. After that, they change back into their clothes and go downstairs to open presents. Rebecca is a saint and does an excellent job with the party and the girls. I would def recommend this place for your next party.
