Great Biscuits and Gravy. There were an extreme numbers of diners when I was there so the servers were very busy. Loud and busy is the best way to describe the atmosphere. The food is excellent and the service is good, if a little rushed. read more

Food was pretty good. Gravy was ok. Pancake was delicious! That's the best. Service was a little slow but I had good company to talk to. That helps. A good change of pace. read more

Bad experience. Hostess was not friendly upon walking in, very slick floors, waitresses bickering at each other and complaining about customers, and food was awful. I ordered eggs bendict and it was awful esp when on a bun not english muffin. My husband ordered the cinnamon bin pancakes and it was fine. My mom order a waffle that was literally burnt. Had to send back. It was not a good breakfast. read more

OMG! It was fabulous. The biscuit was big enough to feed two people. It Was moist and delicious. The breakfast selections were amazing. My daughter had the French toast...she ate the entire serving which says a lot about how good it was since she is a picky eater Also the our server was genuinely friendly and helpful read more

Let me start off by saying the customer service here is absolutely amazing. We ate at this restaurant 2x within a span of 4 days. One because of the food and two because of the customer service. Our waitress Machelle was absolutely amazing. The food was fantastic. I would recommend this place over and over. The portions are generous and you won't leave there hungry. The biscuits and gravy hands down are the best I've ever had. The pancake really is as big as the plate and taste so so good. I wasn't a fan of the BONUT. Whenever we are in the area this will always be a stop for us to eat!!!! Try this place out if you're ever in Springfield or passing thru, you won't be disappointed!!!! read more

Nice place! We had breakfast and it was pretty good. The service was polite and fast. Thier ham was very good, along with the breakfast potatoes. I wasn't impressed with the sausage gravy. read more

Absolutely delicious food with even better service. Our waitress was so warm and welcoming answered all of our questions as this was our first visit. I ordered The Kitchen Sink, a pancake, and a coffee. The Boss ordered the Pancake Platter and an Iced Salted Caramel Ice Cofall the food was great. Fluffy pancakes and warm syrup was the winner! If you haven't tried it, you should. I'm sure we will be back again while we are in town. read more

I really like this place. I'm not sure why the reviews are not at 5.0. The staff is friendly. The food is awesome and the variety is great. The place seemed clean and well staffed. read more

The food was great! It is a lot of food some come hungry! Service was also great. I can't remember our server's name but I think it was Jennifer. Whoever it was took care of us. We came at the tail end of the lunch so we didn't have to wait. read more

First time having lunch here. Lunch options were kind of lacking but it's expected from a breakfast place. The food was good, but for being the only in house order the kitchen was a little slow getting it out. Overall, I'll be back for breakfast but will choose another place for lunch. read more

Best place!! My extended family came here for Father's Day and the reservation process is on Yelp which streamlined things. The server was great and was quick even though the restaurant was busy. I had a hard time choosing what to eat because it all sounded so good. We tried the bonuts which I loved! Fried biscuits with powdered sugar + toppings. I ate cinnamon roll pancakes which I love to get because they are hard to come by. We all left very full. read more

Awesome food. Service is great and clean tables every time. These biscuits are big and taste like homemade, not from Sam's club. I often will judge a place by the biscuits and gravy. If they are fail, I won't bother with anything else on the menu. Pancakes and their skillets are delicious also. I can't tell you how often I'd go to say ihop or the Belgian Waffle House and the biscuits and gravy were lukewarm if that. read more

Food was amazing and the staff was very friendly. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

They did not fail on the name sake. Very tender buttery biscuits! The portions are extremely large! We loved our server as well!

It's a great breakfast place and a good value. My family lives it. Even if you want to eat healthy, there are meals for you.

The food was really good ! Our waiter was really good also ! However the hostess was a mess. They was busy and done the check in on the tablet. We was only a party of 2 and they had tons a tables for 2 people and we waited 30 minutes. read more

Kitchen backed up. A bit of a wait for food but not a problem getting a seat. My Traditional Eggs Benedict is off. Dunno if it's the hollandaise or the ham. I just asked for a biscuit n gravy to at least have a meal. Usually very good. I must be here on an off day. read more

It was a great breakfast. Our service was good We are brunch at noontime. Would go again when in the area

Yep. I like it here. It's great when most other places in town are done serving breakfast, the Big Biscuit saves the day. I've eaten here a handful of times, and I wish they would have more locations than just the two in strip malls on the south side. I was very impressed the first couple times. Impressed with the speed of service, the amount of food for the price, and the fact that they use that good Sonic style ice. In visits since, the portions have gotten smaller and the service has been much more lax. I ordered an omelette that the kitchen made into some sort of scramble, so I had to wait for it to get remade. The biscuit on the side was cold and had been sitting out for a while so it fell apart when I tried to butter it. The tables are very close together which makes for awkward interactions with your neighbors. The setup of this restaurant is a little unusual as a whole...the décor is fake weathered to look old, and there is a huge bar along the back wall that I'm not sure is actually for seating. I also don't see much advertisement for them. Maybe it's just me, but I haven't heard commercials or gotten flyers in the mail...it's like they are banking on word of mouth to stay in business. It's not a cheap diner style place to eat, but it's pretty basic simple food with someone for everyone. Plus you can put your name on the list with Yelp ahead of time. If it's a weekend day, definitely utilize that!! read more

It's been awhile since I was there but it's a pretty neat place as I recall. Good food and plenty of it.

Heard great things but was disappointed. Our server was super nice and came around a lot but they forgot some of our order. We had a bigger group of about 9 people and the people that got biscuits and gravy their food came out quick but then the rest of the food (pancakes and eggs Benedict) came out about 10 minutes later, when the rest of the group was almost done eating. I had the eggs Benedict and it came out cold even though I had to wait extra time for it. Was just disappointed with the overall service and experience. read more

The Big Biscuit - Eggs Benedict, looks super good but came out cold. - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Big space at South Campbell location. Very busy filled with families and large hungry folks. Menu has big variety from all meat to vegetarian and considers food allergies. Staff very pleasant, attentive, gives great meal options tho quite of bit of chitchat slowed kitchen deliveries of orders. Breakfast choices were Biscuit & gravy and a veggie omelet with diced ham: delicious, fresh ingredients, signature fist-sized biscuits were ideal for any baker: a crunchy toast outside and melt in your mouth hot and flakey inside. Big portions- consider splitting. Taste not overly salty, well balanced. Good value for money. Will def go again. read more

We decided to try something different, boy were we in for a surprise. I had to think, has it just been a while since I had been out? Or was this whole dining experience just that good. To add, management made sure were were comfortable and enjoying our meal. Found out like myself management is an ole US Marine. Great business great people. read more

Stopped here on the way out of town after spotting previous Yelp reviews and pictures. While the food and service were just fine (nothing spectacular, but just fine), I will say that the biscuit and gravy was the best I have ever had ANYWHERE. I did not find their portions to be "huge" but rather average. The breakfast sausage patties appeared to be homemade and one of the ones I received was small and thin and had a hole in it. Kind of weird but ok. For a bacon & cheddar omelet breakfast, a Big Breakfast and one drink, our total was $25.50. Very average in my opinion. On another note, the handicapped ladies stall toilet was very grossly clogged and it appeared that no one had checked the restroom for a while. Eck. read more

Great breakfast and relaxed atmosphere! Wonderful place to get caught up with old friends. Would recommend to others! Great service!

This was by far the best breakfast we've had in quite some time. Our server, Oliver, was excellent and had a great personality. We had several different dishes and all were fantastic. The biscuits are so light and fluffy. DEFINITELY get the sticky biscuit! We got one for the table to share and it worked out perfectly. Even my Dad, who is very critical of everyplace we eat, has been raving about how great it was- even hours later! Overall very quick, efficient, and great tasting food! read more

Last Saturday morning my wife and I had the pleasure of having breakfast at the BIG Biscuit on Glenstone. Our meal came to us promptly served by a young man named Ryan who could not have been more friendly and accommodating. He was very attentive and took a personal interest in our breakfast experience. The food came out piping hot and indeed tasty. They really do have BIG BISCUITS there. Can't wait to try their other menu items!!! Yummy! read more

Good service, good food, but if I were you I'd stay away from the corned beef hash. Not up to my standards everything else was great.

Food is usually very good, service is generally good. My wife and I ate breakfast there today, two omelets, two coffee and it comes with potatoes of your choice and bread. $39.00 plus tip. We can definitely afford it but that's a lot of money, I think there are better choices for restaurants in Springfield. read more

Awesome breakfast spot! We stopped in on a Saturday, late morning. It was pretty crowded. For a party of 4, we had about a 10 minute wait. I ordered a blueberry waffle with eggs and sausage. The waffle was amazing! Only (minor) issue was that all of the blueberries were in the center of the waffle. The sausage is fresh, hand patties. They are on the smaller side. We ordered biscuits and gravy for the table to try. There was no "wow" factor. Being that it is what the restaurant advertises, I expected more. Just your average sausage gravy with a huge, fluffy biscuit. Service was excellent. No complaints there! Highly recommend if you are in the area! read more

Ordered the Midwest bowl. Said it came with 3 eggs and honestly there wasn't but 1 in there. Bowl 1/2 empty and warm at best. Waited 45 mins for food. Got on waitlist and was informed the waitlist app wasn't connected. Biscuits were really good. I wanted to get some butter either them but waitress disappeared read more

We have eaten here twice now in the last couple of weeks as we are doing daily medical trips to Springfield and thought it would be nice to try a few places out. This one is tops on our list! Good service - the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is great and I usually can get two meals from one breakfast. I had the seasonal pumpkin pancakes, two and the are large! My husband has had the biscuits and gravy and the breakfast bowl - both very good. Prices are reasonable considering the amount of food. I will mention ambiance but this is a restaurant in a strip mall but there is ample space and we have never had an issue getting seated immediately. It has tables and booths and is a comfy down home place to eat. read more

This KC chain has found a home in Springfield, MO. This place was super busy when we were there...thank goodness for the online wait list! The dining room is filled with a lot of tables that are just a little too small for a party of 4...once the food arrived it was a really crowded table. The server was alright...wish he would have written down our orders - got them mostly right...wrong eggs on one order. The servings were generous and the biscuits are HUGE. My omelet was ok...a little more cheese and it would have been better. The only problem I had was that the biscuit crumbled in my hands so it was difficult to butter and just as hard to eat. If we go back I'll skip the biscuit and just go for toast...kind of defeats the purpose of going to the "big biscuit." read more
