Servers were inside didn't seem very welcoming. Gave us breakfast menu we had to ask for lunch menus. The pastrami sandwich was underwhelming. Won't go here again. Other customers besides us sat outside.

We had breakfast here. I had beef steak and eggs with fruits and toast. It was delicious. We also had crepes fraises for middle and it was really good. Place is very cozy. Service was great. Street parking available.

Food was decent nothing to brag or boost about. Service was decent they were not busy at all but the waitress only came to take our order, give us our drinks and drop off the food. Never got a chance to get a water refill. Kid drinks don't come with free refills. It was nice to sit by the window and people watch since the street was closed. Came on a Monday morning the Monday before Christmas.

[Food] - Eggs Benedict ($10.95 for half order): I'm so glad they have half orders as I can never finish a whole breakfast dish when it comes with 2 plus sides! I also got a side of avocado to pair with my breakfast to cut the oil and add some creaminess to it. Yum! - Solvang Danish style Sausage & Eggs ($11.50): Chosen with hash browns and toast. Scrambled eggs were cooked well as it was fluffy. Sausage didn't taste any different from what you'd get if you got an American breakfast imo. [Service] - Friendly, attentive, fast [Ambiance] - Cute little place with Danish decor [Overall] - Decent place for brunch for us as it was near our hotel and we were able to walk around after eating

Cute little cafe on the streets of Solvang. It was our first time visiting Solvang and we noticed this Belgian cafe nearby. My friend and I tried their Solvang burger and tuna melt. The tuna melt was so good we got carried away eating it that we forgot to snap a quick photo! 100% recommend the tuna melt! The Solvang burger was good too, it comes with Fries, fruit and grilled onions. Very tasty. We were traveling with my pup Jack and was even able to order a beef patty for the pup. Service was very friendly and kind. The only downside would be the amount of bees outside the cafe. We sat at the patio as our pup was with us and the amount of bees outside was pretty hefty. I did see a few traps but if you have a fear of bees like myself inside seating is a must!

Came here for breakfast and service was quick and friendly. I got the peach crepes and eggs Benedict. Coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice The crepe was good, the Benedict was ok (I do add spinach, salt, and Tabasco). For Benedict's I would go to Craft house at Corque instead it was so delicious there. This sauce didn't look fresh. The place was really cute decorated but wouldn't com back.

Crepe Benedict skip it

Nah it taste as sad as the plating. Came here for a chocolate crepe, decided to try the Benedict's crepe. It was just a thicker crepe with scramble eggs and ham inside and what's with the curl raw carrots ?

Had breakfast here this past weekend. We had waffles with sausage and bacon. Everything was really good. It did take awhile for our waitress to come and take our order, but once she did, service was friendly. By the time we left at around 10, there was quite a wait outside, so get there early. Would eat here again.

Putting more tomatoes for Salmon Lox plate to look like it's a lot... but the salmon is just 2 pieces! Terrible place!

If I could give ZERO REVIEW I WOULD! I ordered Sirloin Steak as if I'm biting a LEATHER! Obviously OLD MEAT! and don't order the Salmon Lox, the size is for kids! The tiniest serving we ever had ! 2 tiny pieces!!! They put more tomatoes to look like it's a lot!!! And the server??? No customer service! Terrible place! My first and last visit!

Our group of 3, made a stop in Solvang for a some touristy festivities. We parked and needed to eat! We stepped up to The Belgian Cafe and people were waiting. Uh oh. BUT, they offered us counter seating and we were seated immediately. Score! Started with a glass of freshly squeezed orange juice. Perfect. Opted for the Traveler's Special Waffle. Waffle served with butter and warm maple syrup, bacon & fruit cup. I don't typically order waffles, but given it was Belgian style, I ordered and it was worth it. Not too heavy and crispy, I inhaled it. Nothing left. Tried a bite of the Danish sausage, but the bacon was salty and crispy, so I preferred my bacon. Place is crowded and staff is going a million miles per hour. Had to flag down staff for check when we were ready to leave (and we were sitting at the counter). But for the price and quality, it was perfect.

The pastrami smoked salmon sandwich does not actually have pastrami but the pastrami spices are present in each bite of the smoked salmon. It worked so well, I wish I didn't have to share but with so much good food, unless my stomach is bigger, sharing allowed me to try more things. I was so happy that we had an option to have a cup of butternut squash soup with that sandwich making it the perfect soup and sandwich combo. The shaved Brussel Sprouts salad is so addictive that I couldn't stop eating it and was a great way to get more veggies in our diet. Even though I over ordered to try everything I wanted, shaved Brussels Sprouts salad, halibut tacos and pastrami smoked salmon sandwich with a cup of butternut squash soup, I regretted not coming back for dinner to have it all over again.

I kept coming across peasants FEAST and knew my family and I had to add it to our list. They were Michelin recognized in 2024! We decided to check them out for lunch on a Saturday, we showed up right when they opened and got a nice seat outside on their patio. The restaurant slowly started filling up more and more after we got there so glad we arrived when we did! They do not take reservations so it is first come, first served. We ordered the Kids Orecchiette with Butter, Lil McFeast Burger and the Solvang Hot Chicken. We got some drinks on the side as well including the Fresh Squeezed Lemonade which my daughter was obsessed with. I really enjoyed the food - it was fresh and well seasoned throughout. I asked for less spice on my Hot Chicken, but it was still spicy and tasty! Overall, it was a good meal, not my favorite of the trip, but still worth checking out for sure! Service was also spot on and she gave great recommendations! We would definitely give them another shot next time we're in Solvang! I really want to check out the Pastrami Smoked Salmon Sandwich and the Nannie's Frozen Lime Pie next time! Check them out!

Our party of 4 was seated and waited about 20-30 minutes without a waiter in sight. Meanwhile, a table seated after us had already placed their order and received drinks. I eventually had to flag someone down, and they mentioned they would get our waiter. They later returned and took our order themselves, saying our waiter, Christian, would be with us shortly. To Christian's credit, he did apologize when he arrived, but throughout dinner the service continued to fall short. He would stop by asking if everything was okay while our cups sat empty, then walk away without offering refills. We had to specifically ask for water and drink refills. At the end of the meal, we also weren't asked about dessert or whether we needed anything else. We had to ask for the check and he pulled out of his vest. That said, the restaurant itself has a great atmosphere. The outdoor seating is beautiful, especially the built-in fireplaces at the tables, which we really enjoyed. The live music also added a nice touch to the evening. Food-wise, the appetizers were the highlight. The ceviche and flautas were excellent. I ordered the Black Tie Burger, which was just okay, but the fries were delicious.

Thoughts: I must admit that I'm not a bread person. The only reason I went here is that I had to take some tourists around. Solvang was a pretty obvious stop to make, and we found ourselves in Olsen's. I'm a believer of nailing the simple things, because you won't be able to hide it in fluff. What I liked about Olsen's bread is that they taste home made. The flavors taste exactly like what you asked for, and they don't have those added chemicals that certain establishments use to make the flavors "pop out". The bread was flaky, chewy, and an overall joy to consume. Ambiance: The tables and chairs had a cafe vibe (which is what the place is). It's clean, the bakery smelled great, and the high foot traffic means that the turnaround keeps the food fresh. Service: Straightforward. Pick your bread, ask your questions, and the staff will ring you up after getting what you asked for.

Actually only our table, which was great for containing our puppy, plus a heat lamp and service over the pony wall which worked out great! We started with delicious cold, crisp martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives and a bowl of water for our pup. Our server (Chelsea B?) was so fun and friendly! We then had maybe the best wedge salad we've ever had! I think the lettuce was cut to, but not thru, the base, and opened up, with toppings inside. Roasted beet cubes, bacon, blue cheese and shallots, plus cherry tomatoes, hard boiled egg quarters and fried shallots garnish. It was incredible. I think they should call it "More than a Wedge." We also had the Ahi crudo, which had a delicious sauce and thinly sliced peppers. I wasn't too hungry, so had the French onion soup as my main course. So, it definitely didn't taste anything like French onion soup! It looked like it, and it was definitely cooked down onions but the flavor wasn't anything like I'd expect. However, it was really delicious and satisfied my craving for something warm & cheesy. So if you go in knowing that, I think you'll enjoy it. I don't like lamb, so my husband often gets it when we go out. When he took his first bite, I could tell he enjoyed it. He said it was some of the best lamb he's had and he's had a lot! We ordered the Kids Bolognese Pasta which our daughter loved - I wish my husband and I could have said the same thing about what we ordered. I did enjoy the French Onion Soup the best, but we have made much better artichokes at home and the skirt steak was barely seasoned. Overall, staff were very friendly, but the food was not worth the price point at all in our opinion. Everything was honestly mid - we had high hopes considering all of the Michelin Star recognitions.
