If you haven't been to The Beehive in Ukiah yet, you're seriously missing out. This place buzzes with flavor, creativity, and an atmosphere that somehow feels both upscale and completely unpretentious. The oysters? Absolutely immaculate and so fresh they taste like they just leapt out of the Pacific and onto your plate. Briny, clean, and ice-cold, they set the tone for a dining experience that only gets better. Next up: the torched salmon sashimi which is a masterpiece of craft. Lightly flame-kissed to bring out the richness without losing its silky texture, it's the kind of dish that makes you slow down and savor every bite. And then there's my personal addiction: the glazed pork belly. Perfectly rendered, meltingly tender, and finished with a glaze that strikes that magical balance between savory, sweet, and just a hint of heat. Honestly, if they offered this by the bucket, I'd order two. The Beehive doesn't stop at the food either. Their bar is loaded with a thoughtfully curated selection of spirits, including some incredible homespun specialties you won't find anywhere else. Happy hour here is happy for a reason combining amazing deals, handcrafted cocktails, and a vibe that just makes you want to linger. Bottom line: The Beehive isn't just a restaurant, it's a lifestyle decision. Fresh seafood, inventive bites, incredible drinks, and a welcoming scene all in one spot. Trust me this needs to be your go-to for any occasion when you are in our County seat.

I missed my exit and decided to look for some local spots. I'm so glad that I checked this place out. The crew was friendly and you could tell that they enjoyed working there. The atmosphere reminded me of an old tavern with all the furniture being wooden and rustic. Their cocktail menu featured some clever options based around the bee theme (I loved the killer bee). The menu appears to rotate a little bit since some options mentioned in other reviews weren't present. But what they offer all looked amazing. If you're a local and you haven't been here then I'd be concerned. But if you're passing through the 101, make sure to stop by and try them out.

This place is at a beautiful location. I love that there is an upstairs and it has a nice rustic feel, like a barn house. We ordered several things, including patatas bravas, glazed pork belly, beet salad (but that didn't arrive and we were okay with that since we were full), chicken poblano pasta, chicharrón de atún, and the grilled octopus. The food came out very fast which is great but I do wish there was more spacing between the dishes. The entrees came out at the same time as the tapas. We had about 5 plates at the same time so that was overwhelming. I'd recommend spacing it out so it's not too overwhelming. Staff were very nice and the food was flavorful. The glazed pork belly was my favorite. The peanut sauce with sweet jelly were amazing! I thought the patatas bravas were interesting. It has a bit of a kick which is settled by the sweetness of a red wine sauce. The flavor was okay for me, but these were a unique version of patatas bravas that I haven't had. The grilled octopus was delicious and perfectly cooked. I think the olives were good though I was trying to think of what else it could pair with since it may work better as an appetizer than an entrée. I loved the chicharrón de atún and the pasta was very flavorful. Overall, we had a tasty experience. They had unique menu items. The bill came out to around 95$ (if you pay with a credit card you get an upcharge). This place has been open for 2 to 3 months so it's very impressive the menu items that they have and the flow of the items.

The Beehive impressed us from start to finish. The ambience was stylish, warm and inviting, like a beehive. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted -- crispy wings with incredible house-made sauces, sliders layered with bold house-made BBQ flavor, vibrant ceviche loaded with octopus and fresh produce. So refreshing! The rib eye steak was flawlessly tender. The chef's talent truly shines here. Our server went above and beyond, and matched the quality of the food. He was attentive, warm, and truly went the extra mile to make the experience memorable. A wonderful spot we'll be excited to return to.

The food was delicious and the presentation top notch. We were seated upstairs and the decor quite pleasant My only complaint was the entrees came out a little too fast. It was a great experience and I would say the the food is the best in Ukiah.

Tasty tapas, creative cocktails, and attentive service. We shared tapas: prawns (my favorite with artichoke hearts and spinach in a spicy garlic broth), pork belly (my partner's favorite), ahí tuna, and patatas bravas. We got the Bee Sting (our favorite with balance of honey and jalapeño) and Killer Bee (one note in flavor and not enough spice) cocktails. We will be back!

The octopus dish was amazing and cocktails were creative and strong. Fun place to try!

Great new restaurant in Ukiah, exactly what this town needs. From the drinks, the food and the service it was amazing. I look forward to visiting again and trying new things!

Sweet & savory chicken and waffles

The chicken and waffles are off the hook! And yes, I had that for dinner!!! Comfort food with fine dining flare! We celebrated my husband's birthday and all dishes ordered would be ordered again! They definitely know what's up in the kitchen. This restaurant offers locals a spot to share upscale cruise in a warm casual atmosphere with friends and family when they come to visit. Our service was excellent too. 5 star visit. Love it!

I could get half a draft beer, there's a nice outdoor area, a cool bar cat that I became fond of, live music on Friday nights, and the staff is pretty awesome. The last time I went there was 4 weeks ago and unfortunately I will not go there again. My partner went there (he's also been there before) looking to see if I was there because I told him I was going there to retrieve my umbrella I had left there the night before. He was treated quite disrespectfully, even was threatened to have the cops called if he didn't get out of "his " parking lot. Mind you, this was during the day and my partner wasn't causing any trouble, he was just looking for me. This act alone was enough for me to decide that I wouldn't go there again. I understand people have bad days but when they are in service industry, you need to check that shit at the door before you start your shift. After all, the customer is paying their salary. Don't let my rants discourage you from going to Sports Attic 2, it's a cool place. I just can't get over the way my partner was treated.

Our server was incredibly friendly, and the entire room shared the same warm, easygoing vibe. The small, speakeasy themed space was already packed at 5 PM, so reservations seem like a must. Everything we ordered was well-prepared and delicious, but the standout dishes were the beet salad and the shrimp & grits. The beet salad had a perfect mix of textures; chopped pistachios, tender beets, and crunchy radishes over a pillowy ricotta. I finished the salad wishing there was more. The shrimp & grits featured a potlikker sauce that absolutely lived up to the hype; it made the dish. I wish the shrimp & grits were served in a bowl rather than a shallow dish. I found myself chasing the sauce and polenta around the plate, trying not to push it over the edge. That said, if it were in a bowl, I might have just drank the sauce, so perhaps this is the restaurant's way of preserving a bit of dignity for its guests. Next time, I'm hoping to visit when oyster po' boys and fried green tomatoes are on the menu.

The vibe is effortlessly chill, with whimsical decor--think antique lamps, an old record player, and lots of little details that make you want to look around. The whole place felt alive in the best way--buzzing with conversation, laughter, and people clearly having a great time. We didn't have a reservation, but lucked out with seats at the community table. Bonus: the other guests were super welcoming, which just added to the fun, communal feel. We hit happy hour, and wow--it's a good one. Tons of interesting bites and a solid drink lineup. I went with a whiskey sour, my friend had the ginger beer on draft (very refreshing), and we shared the prawns, Brussels sprouts, and creamy mac & cheese. Everything was seriously delicious. Shoutout to our server, Melanie--friendly, attentive, and totally on it, even with the place packed. A couple things to note: it does get loud, so maybe not your spot if you're after a quiet, intimate dinner. Also, the happy hour menu listed Brussels sprouts but didn't mention bacon--I'm vegetarian, so that was a bit of a surprise. (It is noted on the regular dinner menu, which I admittedly didn't check.) All in all, such a fun, lively spot. I'll definitely be back for more bites and cocktails.

The food though was disappointing. The most interesting item was the clams that came in a cava broth with garlic and parsley. They brought some toasted hearty bread to soak up the sauce. The baby kale salad was also nice with shaved fennel and manchego. The other three dishes were both off and a bit weird. The cauliflower came with bacon, which was good, and sweet dates; the dates were an odd addition and they stuck to your teeth. The calamari, was prepared well - it wasn't chewy - but it just had an off flavor, or at least one I haven't experienced before. Same too for the octopus. This was a much larger portion than typical - two tentacles, plus potatoes and olives. The octopus though was rather mealy. Small Spanish red wine list; only four. Tried two and neither were our favorites. The 1970s-80s classic rock soundtrack was an odd choice for background music.
