The service was a little inconsistent throughout our meal but I understand it's a relatively new place so they get a pass while working out the kinks. We shared the octopus appetizer, crudo and wood fire grilled oysters. Each one was played beautifully and full of flavor. I had a pan seared wahoo with a perfectly done crust. Sides included broccolini and asparagus that were so artfully prepared, it reminded me of a shaved salad. Others at the table had the snapper, scallops and duck. We shared this chocolate mousse dessert with freeze dried raspberry crackles that was quite delicious. Admittedly not a chocolate fan, I thought the dessert was lovely. They have a nice wine list which is pretty well priced considering the caliber of this restaurant. The views from the outside veranda where we dined was stunning. love the new update to The Beacon! Starting the meal with the fried chicken bites, I knew I was in for a good night. We also got a few of the pastas to share which were all delicious. They opened up the space and rearranged the floor plan for a much improved ambiance. The service with the new menu is faster but still professional, which is great. Highly recommend! read more

This was one of the best meals I've had in my entire life. The chef took us on a tour of the menu and loved every dish. From the cold water oysters, to the baked oysters, tuna tower, lamb shanks, steak and beyond. We finish with a few different desserts that will rock your world both with flavor and presentation. Went early on Xmas eve hoping for the early bird but had to settle for the regular menu, an expensive mistake. My wife had a large piece of fish,expensive and alone. Any vegetable is an extra charge, I had a hamburger with fries ($28)and gave most of the fries to my relatives to supplement their small dinner portions. The wine was the smallest I have ever seen in a restaurant. They must be pouring 8 glasses from a bottle.($18). They require a 20% surcharge on the bill. We haven't been here since the changes they made but not only has the ambience changed, but so did the food. They used to have fabulous food and decided to go for a celebratory dinner. With 6 people only one of us had a good meal. Very pricey for subpar food. It was a Sunday but we were one of two tables seated inside the restaurant & about 4 tables outside. I had the pleasure of dining at the Beacon earlier this week. The restaurant boasts a sophisticated ambiance with soft lighting and intimate seating inside and out. The service I receive was nothing but impeccable. The staff was very knowledgeable and attentive.. The food was great. From the roasted cauliflower to the charcoal grilled octopus and to finish it off .. the grilled lamb chops. But , best of all . I had a great selection of delicious drinks that I had never tasted before. The bartenders that night was Cynthia . She is so sweet , carried a smile the entire night , very attentive to me and my date. We also all shared a few laughs. It was very pleasant :) Based on the drinks we had been ordering that evening , she recommended us a few of her favorites . We normally just drink shots but we were curious. You are paying for the view, that's it!! We have been here several times to have drinks upstairs; the drinks and staff upstairs are good. In the restaurant, this is a completely different experience. Service was slow, and we felt like we were inconveniencing the wait staff by being there. When he was with us, he spent most of the time with his face buried in the tablet, placing our orders. With the amount of time he spent on the tablet, you thought he was writing a book. The only thing he was fast with was the check, which you pay for on the tablet, the waiter stood over my wife like she was going to steal it. She felt very pressured with him lurking over her and left a way bigger tip than he deserved. Swordfish Tomahawk is one thin anorexic, overcooked piece of swordfish, that's it! No sides. With the amount of time he spent typing on the tablet, you would have thought you got more. Next time I want to spend that kind of money, I will go somewhere else. We had a reservation for Friday night, we got seated right away with a great view of the lighthouse. Mark was our waiter and he was truly amazing! He knew the menu and could answer all our questions, he never left us "hanging" and checked in often. We had the tuna app and the octopus app. Both were AMAZING and cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the octopus- the white sauce it was paired with was to die for. We got the triple tail special and the pasta dish with mussels, calamari and added shrimp. It was fabulous and I would definitely order it again. The view was amazing and the service was outstanding. We are considering having our large rehearsal dinner here, THATS how much we enjoyed it. My husband and I tried this restaurant tonight for the first time. Amazing!!! From the moment we walked in we were treated SO well! Amazing! That's how I would describe this place! Reservations hard to get, made the reservation three weeks prior. We arrived 15 min early but the hostess seated us early, he was so friendly! Made us feel welcome as soon as we walked in. The place is modern and beautiful, open kitchen concept, so lots of see. Our waitress Christine was fabulous! Fantastic personality, loved her! She had a huge table outside so she was a little delayed grabbing our order which didn't bother us but one of the floor managers came by to apologize, very thoughtful. Ok on with the food! I started with the octopus, I must point out all the presentation at this place was beautiful. It really was visually stunning! Octopus was cooked perfectly, so delicious. Other items on the table was the soup (ok), salad (refreshing, she loved it), and the tuna (good). For entree I had the duck, tender meat with a crispy skin, so good! Other dishes on the table was the filet and NY strip (both cooked to perfection and each enjoyed the meal). While we ate we were constantly distracted by all the desserts going by us! So by the time to order dessert we couldn't decide, so we decided to order the first four desserts on the menu! The lemon, cheesecake, chocolate and the apple. OMG! They all came out at once, visually pleasing, each is interesting and we took a little time just admiring each dish. And the taste? Wow.. each one is different and so delicious. You must try every little bit of each dessert. Apple is little a small Apple pie, with a side of Apple mouse that looks like an Apple, so beautiful. You have to try the little pickled apples, crunchy! Cheesecake, light and airy, the middle of the cheesecake was still a little frozen so let it sit for a little bit. Lemon, this was a hit! To me this one was a little sweet. But still fantastic. Chocolate, beautiful. It's like a chocolate mouse, with ganache, and bottom chocolate cake, eat it all together, heaven in a bite! And I am not normally a chocolate person. Some berry crumbles and there is also this airy chocolate pieces on the side just melts in your mouth. Each dessert came with sorbet or Gelato. So save room for dessert!!! You won't be disappointed. So impressed with the food but especially the dessert. It's like art that taste amazing! One tiny flaw, the bathroom wasn't very clean, maybe it's because it's the end of the night? But I would still highly recommend this place! Loved it and can't wait to return. read more

We really enjoyed our return visit to Beacon. We were brought to an inside table first, although a great spot, we really preferred outside and the host escorted us to an amazing table with a gorgeous view of the Jupiter Lighthouse. Our waiter, Nick was top notch! He took our drink orders, my husband got a signature drink that had a tropical ice ball! (Forgot what it was called) and I had their cucumber drink, both were refreshing and delicious. They brought over their delicious bread... which we devoured! Nick was kind enough to bring out another when we asked. We again split a Caesar Salad, this time they didn't split it ahead of time, still cold, crisp and delicious! Our entrees were both wonderful. My husband enjoyed his huge pork chop and I really enjoyed my salmon entree. Both had delicious sides. We were so full we passed on dessert! Great evening all around! I'm glad we gave it another try! I was a little skeptical reading the reviews but I was pleasantly surprised how great this restaurant is! Atmosphere: open kitchen concept, really nice looking restaurant and it was really crowded this Friday night. Please note that the restaurant can get quite loud so not a place to have a quiet dinner. Drinks: I had the bullfighter: amazing tequila and mezcal drink with an ice cube made with some tropical fruit flavors which was like having an amazing flavored ice at the end of the drink! Appetizers: We had the octopus which was phenomenal. So many restaurants screw this dish up but it was so tender and delicious. Main courses: We were all really happy with our choices: steak, pork chop, pasta and the burger. Dessert: The lemon tart and apple dessert were awesome! We had a few others but those were the ones we would get again. Also they are quite beautifully presented which definitely elevated the dish. Service: Max was our server and was great. Attentive, gave great suggestions and very professional. The manager also came around multiple times to make sure we were happy with our experience. It was very obvious that they are working hard to make sure the meal was commensurate with the price. Overall: Absolutely would come here again. I really do not get the bad/mix reviews. I was superrr excited to see that Beacon just launched a Sunday Brunch menu. So ya know I had to check it out. Brunch is from 11a-2p every Sunday, it's $60 per person for an all you can eat buffet that includes 2 mimosas or 2 bloody Mary's. The raw bar was a total win for me w/the all you can eat aspect but make sure to save room for those crab cake Benedict's & the Beacon chicken-oh em gee that chicken was delish. Everything was clean & fresh! The menu, it's location & the view of the lighthouse make it a great option for anyone looking to host a bridal/baby shower. I did learn you that upstairs at, TOPSIDE at the Beacon they do unlimited mimosas for $20 from noon-4p on both Saturday & Sunday so I'll have to check that 1 out next. read more

We ate at the Beacon last Saturday evening with another couple before our show at the Maltz. We've dined here many times last year the food the service was great. NOT SO THIS TIME. The menu has changed. Along with the Management. The Good: The Beacon is still a beautiful restaurant with a great view of the lighthouse. We were properly seated. The Farro , octopus, burrata were excellent. The Cheeseburgers were actually smashburgers were adequate. Great Fries Ok so here is the BAD our server brought us the baked bread which I believe they are noted for. We all were famished and devoured the bread. Requesting the server to bring us another one and was told only one per table. We saw that the table of 2 had the same amount served to them we were 4 ?? Our drinks came, I ordered a beer which was served in a BRANDY GLASS filled to the rim (No head). I have been drinking beer for more years than the servers age and have NEVER been served in a12oz brandy's glass. We asked for the manager the assistant manager Tim showed up. I explained to him about the beer being served in a brandy glass He Stated that it is a FULL 12oz and that how the Beacon severs it. When we pointed out about the BREAD he explained that one of their ovens malfunction so they had a limited amount of bread. UNDERSTANDABLE but why a table of 4 was given the same amount as a table of 2. NO ANSWER WAS GIVEN. On the way out I went over to a gentleman who said he was General Manager and explained about the beer glasses being a Brandy glass he stated that he was a sommelier and that the glass is just a vessel? Unfortunately the menu changed not to my liking. The management changed not for the better. Too Bad, A beautiful restaurant fantastic view of the lighthouse. Some really good food. Lousy management that doesn't care about their patrons. Needless to say will not return. read more

The location is Ideal. The restaurant has high ceilings and an airy feel. However, our view of the inlet & lighthouse was totally blocked by some sort of party decoration with balloons. The bar service was prompt and our waitress was very nice, attentive. The rice stick appetizer resembled a leftover; the pear salad was large enough for sharing, the greens were fresh, but the pears overcooked to the point of being rubbery. Each of us ordered a fish entree. The grouper special was fresh but strangely seasoned. The swordfish plate was barely edible. It tasted of freezer burn and was way, way overcooked. I never send back food because it seldom leads to any correction or improvement. In summary, this is not a place for locals who have many other great choices nearby. We skipped dessert. We were both disappointed and left early. Three stars is generous rating for our experience. read more
