My favorite was tuna rice. For dinner we got fish, and steak (both filet mignon and steak frite). When I tasted both steaks I thought the steak frite was more flavorful. Where to begin! Reservations for 4 were mistakenly made at Beacon Topside (floor 2) despite our plan to eat at "Beacon" (floor 1). The Hostess manager was rude and condescending never suggesting there were two different eating venues despite using the same telephone number in the past. We planned to eat outside but were told not gonna happen. Next came the food. Three of us ordered hamburgers, never asked how we wanted them cooked, and they all came out burnt like hockey pucks. Two of our party wanted mashed potatoes as a substitute for French fries but the waitress told us sorry no substitutions and we had to pay $9 each for two small orders of mashed potatoes. My wife ordered a lobster roll for $39 and got a puny frankfurter roll with a small smattering of lobster, a ridiculously high price for what she actually got. At the conclusion of our meal when the waitress prepared our bills she presented us with a tablet, no paper bill and expected us to sign without reviewing...when given the opportunity we realized the charges were incorrect. Our entrees: Lobster Bucatini, grilled swordfish & bone-in pork chop. We shared them all & they were cooked to perfection. We couldn't resist dessert so ordered the Meyers lemon & carrot cake, both were delicious but the Meyer lemon was the best I have ever had. I have visited the Beacon twice in the past month to celebrate my wife and friend's birthday and mine. I can say without hesitation this is one of the best restaurant experiences I have had in the past five years in South Florida. Beacon offers inventive cocktails, delicious entrees, delectable desserts, and exemplary service in Jupiter across the water from the Jupiter Lighthouse. When you go to Beacon, the experience is world class from start to finish, starting with the gorgeous shell-shaped bread that is made from scratch. All the cocktails I have had on my two excursions to Beacon have been brilliant from the classy Vesper to the glorious Bullfighter. But my favorites so far have been the bourbon and rye fusion of the Concrete Jungle and the scotch and liqueur explosion of the Blood & Sand that includes curaçao, house-made vermouth, and blood orange. Additionally, they have a nice collection of spirits overall between the available Blanton's single barrel and orange limoncello. For starters, you can't go wrong with their cold-water oysters, Stracchiatella cheese, or the charred Spanish octopus. The cheese is served with amazing toasted bread, while the octopus is grilled to perfection and served with smoked potato, treviso, and black garlic. The oysters were so savory, clean, and fresh that you could eat several of them without taking a breath. For main courses, their pasta dishes are supreme, with the standouts being the Agnolotti Coniglio, stuffed with glorious rabbit and served with a rich cream sauce, and the Paccheri con escargot was a savory paradise of goodness with the saffron hollandaise sauce. If you have someone to split this, order a side of crispy fingerling potatoes with garlic aioli; it is the world. I have had the privilege of trying three of the four desserts that Beacon currently has available. My favorite of the three is the chocolate bombe, but you could do just as well with the tiramwoo or the deconstructs Meyer lemon tart. Each are exquisitely made like a work of art that you could stare at before devouring, before washing down with an espresso martini. Beacon is special. We will return for more culinary adventures as this place is a masterclass of excellence. read more

We went for Mothers day Dinner around 6 pm. This is the only place on the inlet with open tables and no wait. First warning sign. We were greated by BO the manger and seated immediately. I ordered their Coconut Lobster Bisque and the Crab cake and my wife had the Spicy Lobster Rigatoni. Service was pleasant and professional. The Bisque was ok but why do they need to put chili oil in it? If you cannot cook with flavor hiding that by adding chili oil will not fix your plate. The Handmade Crab cake was not handmade. It was packed and perfectly round like a pressed burger. Not the light fluffy crab cake you would expect being handmade. Finally the Spicy Rigatoni was so tart. They went way overboard with some sort of citrus that spoiled the entire plate. They have the location, atmosphere and look, but the chief and menu reflect why they have open tables on mother's day when every business around it is on a wait. Would not go back. read more

Tried this place when it first opened a few years ago and didn't love it. Service was awful and food was so so. So glad we gave it another shot tonite. Service was excellent. From our initial greeting to the bartender to our server Julian who was fantastic, what a nice experience. They're having a special price fixed for Sept Palm Beach which is amazing. Beacon is a coastal steakhouse with delicious food and a beautiful view of the ocean. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. Everything we ordered was great. I loved the tuna and crispy shrimp appetizers. There's something for everyone on the menu. I also loved the salmon entree with polenta and asparagus. The polenta was cheesy and had a great texture. If you have room for dessert they are all beautifully plated deconstructed versions of a traditional dish. Overall, this restaurant was lovely and I had a great experience. We went to Beacon when we couldn't get into the sister restaurant, Lucky Shuck. I now know why. First, the food was good but that's it. Very slow service and there weren't many other people there on the eve of the 4th. That should have been a red light. I felt like I was in a funeral home. There were no smiles or anything that made us feel welcome. After a drink and app, we left and went to Schooners. I have to say that myself and my 3 friends all felt the same. I tried to call the manager before posting. Charlie or Joe would have been mortified if they witnessed this scene (after a wonderful Easter/Birthday meal for 11 with an excellent server). We went to our Vespa scooter to leave and found it blocked in intentionally tight on all 4 sides with valeted vehicles. We had parked in a striped off pedestrian walk way as not to take up a proper space. My girlfriend hailed one of the valet parkers and asked him to move the Mini in the walkway so we could get out. He verbally confronted her very aggressively lectured her for some time and left saying "I'll let you out when I get around to it". We then saw him valet another car so we both managed to work the scooter out between cars. As we are driving away this valet runs at us screaming he has to check the cars for scratches. We were really shaken up after a otherwise great experience. As local repeat customers, we would be uncomfortable returning until the valet situation is resolved. read more

Had the 5 course tasting for my husband's. It was amazing. The grilled duck was the 2nd best duck I have ever had! (My favorite duck is at mustards grill in Napa so this is way closer for me to order again) but this duck knocked some other ducks down the list! The sauce for the duck was so good and the duck was cooked to perfection! The whipped feta I could have ate so much more of that! We celebrated my husband's birthday at Beacon. Everything about our experience was great..... from the valet, host, server, cocktails and food. They brought out complimentary champagne as we were seated to celebrate my husbands birthday.... he would have rather had dessert but I enjoyed the champs! After hearing cocktail recommendations from our server we decided to order the Back in El Dia. This cocktail wasn't my favorite as the smoke flavor of this was very overpowering. I switched to an old fashioned and was made exactly to my liking. We shared a swank farms green salad. Loved the variety of the shaved carrots and the flavor of the moscatel vinaigrette. My husband enjoyed the swordfish for dinner. I went with the dry-aged no.12 short rib burger. My burger was so juicy and cooked perfectly. We were sad that they we unable to make the chocolate dessert during out visit. So we settled on the apple dessert instead. I loved the oatmeal-brown sugar crumble with the ice cream. The oysters were small, served in batches of six. The shrimp were large. I managed three rounds but they would have gladly kept bringing more if I wanted. Beaches has been my favorite restaurant since they opened and I would go multiple times a week happily. This year new chef new menu -'d the portion sizes are HALF. Literally half of what they used to be it's a joke. I've been twice and am heartbroken with the changes. One cocktail had a giant ice cube and maybe 3 oz of liquid at a staggering prices. I'm happy to pay for quality but leaving hungry when your spending top dollar is absurd. I hope Joe and Charlie read this review and make drastic changes fast. I like Beacon and despite a few less than stellar dining experiences I have returned, however after this week's terrible food disaster I'm rethinking my loyalty. I was with family and we tried many items and with the exception of the very good house bread everything was awful and simply not edible. You would think with such a limited menu that the kitchen would prepare decent dishes but not here and it goes beyond taste because the shrimp in the Pappardelle & Sugo di Pompodoro were just so low level that something of that poor quality should not be served. The sauce in the pasta was also foul. The chicken in the Chicken Meunière was tough and I had a difficult time cutting it and I just gave up. The chicken should not have been served and you have to question the quality control in the kitchen. Beacon is a nice restaurant with great views but the food really needs improving. read more
