Went here during Pride, and they were chill AF to let us crash out from the heat for a bit, and use the restroom and everything, so that's a great thing and a tip in their direction. Made sure to buy some drinks, and a water, and tip the bar staff. Could use a little TLC, but I don't think that's its appeal. It's embracing its dive feel... and I don't think that's a bad thing. This area is... interesting at night. Lots of... wandering people, from rich businessmen and the common everyday folk, to sex workers and homeless people. The whole gang is down in this zone, so you will... mix and mingle, so prepare for that in whatever way you want or need. I'd suggest a backpack being down here; bags are not given out, you have to buy them, and the reusable bags have a tax on them now too... so just bring your own bag. Even a little drawstring bag would be fine; just something to carry odds and ends around in. If during the summer, HATS AND SUNGLASSES, are highly recommended. The highlight during my recent visit was definitely the bartender. I forgot to catch his name but he was killing it behind the bar and troubleshooting the change machine all by himself. If you're looking for a true dive bar, William's Tavern is a great choice. Tip: Don't pay to park at the meters on 17th. The streets going perpendicular are free for 2 hours!

Does it really need to be $8.50 a bottle? Oof I wish it was a dollar or two cheaper, but as we know prices are inflated all over the place now. Like I said, they make up for it with other deals. Only two TV's inside if my memory serves me correctly. The best part of Embassy are the different rooms offering unique atmospheres. Staff did not ask for my account of what happened and physically ushered me away, during which I sustained minor abrasions. I contacted Embassy Tavern privately through Facebook Messenger and email before posting any public reviews because I wanted to understand whether the incident had been reviewed and whether I was welcome to return. I received no response. After staying away for about two months, I returned, spent roughly two hours there without incident, and was then asked to leave anyway. I made a good-faith effort to resolve this privately before writing this review. The lack of any meaningful communication is why I'm leaving one star. P.S., You might consider putting another camera on the northern side of the building. Appears you have a blind spot.

The DJ was situated in the back room and was spinning live. the backroom had fun murals including a colorful heart wall and a mural with bedazzled elements. The bar was packed with all ages and everyone seemed super friendly including the staff. I appreciated the concept of all the string lights dimly lit under the ceiling. I thought it was cool of them to have plenty of seating including community tables, booths, and standing room. It was packed without it feeling too crammed as it was still easy to maneuver. They had a coat rack which I thought was a nice touch.
